She conducted the cleaning professionally and gently, offered to clean my retainers, answered random questions I had re: bridges and implants, even commented how nice my husband is, who had been in the week before. Afterwards, Dr. Wu performed an exam - expertly and efficiently. He asked after the family, gave insight on insurance, and offered information about restorations. Professional and friendly service, all around. The only request I would make is to consider occasional Friday and Saturday appointment slots - so much easier when one works full time and has family.

That itself should've been a red flag. I assumed the dentist Emily Young had my best interest. I should've know at her lack of communication with me that she didn't. I told her I was aware of my gum disease and I know it's gotten worse. I expressed my concerns and let her know I wanted to get pregnant but was hesitant as I know my gum health affects the whole body. I was asked if I cared what my teeth looked like and I said no. I was then told that if I didn't care about cosmetic look that it should be "fine." As long as I kept up with my cleanings. I have deep pockets but they could clean them there. Unfortunately I was scheduled months out. Not a priority even though it progresses daily... I had gum detachment within two months of being seen here. While I was waiting for my scheduled cleaning. I was then told by another dentist how deep my pockets really are, referred to a specialist and told by specialist I could not get pregnant unless I wanted to put my life and child's at risk. To say I am hurt is an understatement. I've lost time, money and gained more dental trauma. In my opinion I say do not come here.

The other dentist (NOT distinctive) did a filling that they not only trapped blood behind, but also left a massive amount of excess composite that went passed where the tooth meets the gum and essentially made a spear slicing into the inside of my cheek. I could fit a fingernail between the excess material and the gum above my tooth. I was in a ton of pain from the resulting ulcer on my cheek and the headache from dental pain. I called distinctive and was able to get an appointment very quickly. While Dr. Kim and the assistant remained incredibly professional, they seemed surprised and were very empathetic that I was left with a filling in the condition I was. They ensured I was fully educated on my options and involved me in the creation of the treatment plan. At the first appointment they removed the excess material to ease my pain and allow the soft tissues to heal. When I went back for the repair, we had initially thought a crown was necessary, but Dr. Kim was able to successfully repair with a new filling. They could've said the significantly more expensive crown was still necessary and I wouldn't have known better, but they chose better care over making money. The procedure itself was also miles better than my experience with the other dentist--the other office had forcefully pulled my cheek away as far as possible in an attempt to access the affected back molar, while Dr. Kim gave me instructions on how to hold my jaw so he could see. He also checked in frequently to ensure I was doing okay. He also took multiple photos throughout the process so I could actually see what he was talking about, and the before and after difference was night and day. TLDR: incredibly kind and compassionate staff that truly puts patient care over profit and ensure the patient is fully informed and involved in their treatment plan. I highly recommend!

I must have said 5x I wanted to come in for a cleaning and I was completely unwilling to do a "meet and greet exam" and then have to come back another day for a cleaning .who has time for that??? The day before my cleaning I call to confirm and they tell me oh no. No cleaning for me, I have to do an exam first. After I explain this is opposite of what I've been told I tell them cancel my appointment I'm not coming in for an exam and X-rays when I had them done less than a month ago already. They call me later in the day saying now they can do both at the same time if I'll give them another chance. Strange how this wasn't communicated prior. I was told multiple times it's 2 appointments. They wanted me to come in at a new time, which I could not accommodate. I also imagine most people can't be expected to change their appointment time with roughly 18 hours notice. Do they not have awareness people have children and jobs? They seems apologetic and nice but i gave up and am going back to my old dentist who I don't care for but I don't want to wait another month for a cleaning.

Dr. Aldridge performed the surgery without giving her the option to seek care with a specialist. It went completely sideways and the staff did nothing to help until it was too late. My daughter had a major infection and had to have additional procedures under general anesthesia with a specialist. The staff lacked experience and empathy. Seek a specialist whenever doing major dental surgery. Needless to say we are looking for a new dentist.

Sounds silly, but I didn't want a chain dentist. Our history with chain dentists is they charge a lot, and they tell you that you need more work than you do. I thought I would need a root canal because my crown from last year was still randomly hurting. I also had another tooth that was sensitive and felt like the gums were receding. I was really expecting $1,000. Turns out gums are not as bad as I thought, and they gave me some tips to slow the regression. Again, I was totally expecting a deep gum cleaning and a root canal. Nope. Dentist saw my crown just needed filed down. Very affordable even with the 5 cavities I do have. Everyone there was very nice, and I appreciate not leaving and feeling like I've been hosed.
