Hello Dr. Tsion I…read morehonestly do not know why I waited this long to properly express my deepest appreciation to you and your entire team. From the very beginning of this journey you and your staff have shown me a level of kindness compassion humanity and professionalism that I will never forget. To be honest it never feels like I am walking into a medical office surrounded by staff members doing their jobs. Instead it feels like I am being welcomed by a close and caring family. The warmth patience and genuine care that each one of you shows creates an environment that brings comfort even during painful and vulnerable moments. I truly want you to know how grateful I am for everything you have done for me. So far I am very happy with my recovery and overall experience. Even the pain has been mostly manageable and hearing from Lydia that my recovery is progressing beautifully made me feel incredibly relieved and thankful. Please let her know how much I appreciate her kindness and support as well. What touched my heart the most is the way you treated me not simply as another patient but as a human being deserving of care dignity reassurance and compassion. In moments when people feel physically and emotionally vulnerable kindness becomes unforgettable and that is exactly what your team gave me. You all made me feel safe cared for respected and genuinely valued. I truly mean this from my heart when I say that you have become like family to me. One day when I am fully recovered I am planning to come back with kitfo and kocho to celebrate and thank everyone properly. That thought genuinely makes me happy because I already feel such a meaningful connection with all of you. And I also want to say this with a smile I promised before that it was not the medication talking and I still mean every single word. My gratitude is sincere heartfelt and lasting. I absolutely plan to keep in touch because people like you are rare and the kindness you give leaves a permanent mark on people's lives. Thank you again Dr. Tsion Lydia and the entire team for your extraordinary care your humanity and the love you show through your work every day. May God continue to bless all of you your families your careers and the lives you touch so beautifully. With heartfelt gratitude and appreciation Yodit

Good thing i did because something Dr. Leonard did caused me to get a sever sinus infection and i had to go in for a Sinus Surgery. So thanks to Dr. Lonard i didnt only have one surgery but two. I hated dentist's before and this def didnt help. If you want a doctor that actually treats you go somewhere else.

At first, I was quick to blame the surgery, but more detailed investigation showed that the gallbladder problems were just the tip of the iceberg and the fist thing to "act up" in a very complex situation. Not only did Dr. Paul do a great job (as confirmed by other surgeons and his reputation); he still checks on my wife, even three years later. That's more than the mark of a good doctor; that's a good person. I'd highly recommend him, both for his skill and his compassion.

I suffer from Meibomian gland dysfunction. The ophthalmologists I saw diagnosed it as resulting…read morefrom the many years of my lagophthalmos that permitted my meibomian glands to atrophy. After I saw an oculoplastic surgeon who performed several unsuccessful surgeries to treat my lagophthalmos, I decided to find someone who would approach my condition with a different strategy. I extensively researched oculoplastic surgeons practicing in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia area. My research led me to Dr. Zatezalo. From my first consultation with Dr. Zatezalo, I knew he was the surgeon for me. He is kind, smart, and compassionate along with experienced, talented, and creative in surgical procedures. He clearly explained to me that I needed full thickness skin grafts (FTSG) to functionally improve the operation of my eyelids. I had read about eyelid skin grafts from various Internet websites that described it as a last resort because of its complexity and routinely poor cosmetic outcome. Recovery may take up to a year or more before the grafts blend into the rest of your face and even then, they are usually a different texture and slightly off color. Dr. Z exerted no pressure on me to have the procedure. Deep down inside I knew I needed it. I had to do something as I could not go on living the way I was, and yet, I was afraid of what I would look like after a FTSG on my lower eyelids. I was using eyedrops nonstop during the day, and at night I would awaken every few hours in pain from the dryness and had to instill dry eye ointment. I wore sunglasses indoors because my eyes barely tolerated room lights or being out in the sunlight. I was miserable and my quality of life had gotten so poor, I did not want to leave my home. Dr. Zatezalo was very patient with me and again very honest. I had read many of his patient reviews of how he gave back his patients' lives through corrective surgery. I decided to move forward with full thickness skin grafts as Dr. Zatezalo recommended. In my case, it took approximately six months before the grafts started to blend in well with the surrounding skin and not be noticeable. My level of comfort improved immediately after the surgery as I now had more skin in my lower eyelids to help my eyes close completely. I no longer needed to use eyedrops and ointment like before. I was also able to tolerate artificial and natural light without sunglasses. I had the FTSG surgery in 2018. Today, people don't know I had it unless I point it out to them. The Zatezalo Group is located in a beautiful and modern office with easy parking access. Amelia and Kimmy, Dr. Zatezalo's staff, are super friendly, efficient, and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Zatezalo to anyone who needs functional repair or desires cosmetic enhancement of their eyes. Thanks to him, the quality of my life has improved greatly. He really is a remarkable doctor and person.

Unfortunately, my experiences with many physicians/specialists in the past have not been all that great because I got the sense that they were trying to rush me through the appointment. However, Dr. Amini took his time to read my medical records and listen to me while I discussed my symptoms. Unlike a few other specialists, he actually let me finish my thoughts before cutting me off with an answer. They kept me informed about my condition, explained my treatment plan, and made sure I understood what was happening. I truly appreciated their professionalism and compassion. I also want to give special recognition to my night nurse, Victoria. She was exceptional kind, attentive, and caring. She made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the night. Unfortunately, my experience with my morning nurse was very disappointing. I did not see him until around 8:30 a.m., after I specifically asked for my RN. I had not eaten anything for more than 24 hours and asked if I could order breakfast. He told me he would come back, but he didn't return. Around 10:00 a.m., I asked another nurse if I could order breakfast. That nurse said he would check with my assigned nurse. About 30 minutes later, my nurse finally came back and told me I could not order food because I was being discharged. This was confusing because no one had informed me that I was being discharged. After receiving a blood transfusion, the doctor had told me I would likely be admitted for 24 to 48 hours for observation. I calmly explained that I had been asking for breakfast all morning, but instead of acknowledging my concern, my nurse became defensive and said there was nothing he could do. He offered to call the charge nurse, but I told him I wasn't trying to argue over food and that I could eat once I got home. He then removed my IVs, placed my discharge papers on my bed, and left without reviewing them with me or explaining any discharge instructions. A short time later, another nurse came in and introduced herself as my nurse. I explained that no one had reviewed my discharge paperwork with me, and she kindly took the time to go over everything. I appreciated her willingness to step in. Finally, no one officially discharged me or assisted me in leaving. I wasn't told where the exit was, whether I needed a wheelchair, or what the discharge process was. I had to figure out on my own how to leave the hospital. Overall, I am grateful for the excellent care I received from the doctors, Victoria, and the nurse who took the time to explain my discharge instructions. However, my experience with my morning nurse and the discharge process fell well below the level of care I expected. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, responsiveness, and the discharge experience for future patients.
