Not sure why they always pick the one with the changing table, plenty of other ones! For most part, no homeless people or weird people near the playground. Big field for kids to run too. At night time, all the pretty lights come on!

There are also weekly farmers and flea markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We got our morning coffee and had a peaceful walk through the area. During the holidays at night there are lights that light up the whole park. It's a big attraction that invites a lot of families, locals, and tourists. There are kids playgrounds, music, and vendors throughout making it a lively area.

I am talking bright orange and lime green colors. And it is all in great condition. Secondly, it inspires creativity. It is not just jungle gyms and swing sets. There are zones for music (bongo drums, an unusual keyboard for playing), sand play (multi level surfaces with containers of clean, moist sand), places to crawl, jump, climb, swing, and best of all, surfaces that surround the equipment that are safely bouncy (rubberized). Not only are they easy on both little and big feet, but also perfect for those unexpected little spills and tumbles that usually end up with boo boos, splinters, scrapes, and tears. A lot less of that here. Then, there is the little amphitheater behind the large, well maintained bathroom building. They must be some rocking, good entertainment there sometimes. The grasses and shrubs are kid friendly too. I saw small children bending over to see a discovery, probably a lizard or something, that called the tall grasses around the perimeter of the park his home. There are also adult friendly benches and picnic tables. Definitely a great place to bring the little ones.

There is lots of parking and clean bathrooms that are open late. The park is well manicured and taken care of. There are grassy areas, picnic tables and a water feature with ducks. Great for walking your dog or a picnic and there is also a playground for the kids. It's a little off the beaten path so it feels like a bit of a secret. I wish there was a park like this closer to where I am and I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Be sure to bring water and enjoy the quick walk around the pond. Very easy accessibility for old dogs, like mine got to be at 17 years old, he lost his hearing, had cataracts but loved this park overall. The grounds are well kept with plenty of signs warning, no dogs in the pond. Just birds and lost turtles exist in there. There is stocking of fish and derby's to enter for children, where maybe you can catch a tagged fish, win a prize, if you follow activities. I spent years helping staff medical, communications and volunteers for Soccer Tournaments to be legal and full of volunteers. The 4th of July, there is a loud speaker, but last year, in the handicapped section, there was Mexican Music in competition with the speaker and music supplied. This was at the field near the Iverson Way, lower road parking, lots of handicapped parking but as I tried to show a man claiming parking was full. I pulled in anyway and he allowed me in. There were a lot of empty handicapped available, as they added many signs, last year.

There are lots of green areas to enjoy a picnic or bring your dogs along for a walk and some catch. This place is very, very dog friendly which is always nice! Visited in February so the pools were all closed but they are open during the summer (bummer), but they have a lot going on. There also have a large barbecue area, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, and even a community garden! Lovely spot to go for a walk with your dog or enjoy an outdoor game of tennis, pickleball, etc.

Templeton…read morePark proved once again that it is the perfect place for a family event on a recent cold and rainy Saturday. We knew it was drizzling, but hadn't had a message that the party was called off, so we headed up to Templeton Park to meet up with the rest of the family. At first the park looked empty, then we spied a group gathered in the picturesque gazebo in the center of the park. We parked close and walked over to discover our far flung family gathered for a festive birthday. The gazebo! Of course! Great shelter from the rain and room for at least thirty people to mill around. The kids were lining up for pin the tail on Pikachu as we arrived, then they took turns battering a pinata till the candy cascaded to the cement. As the rain came and went, the kids could run in and out of the shelter while we grownups congregated on folding camp chairs or just stood around chatting. We welcomed the rain and were so happy we got to safely enjoy an outdoor event!

There are plenty of benches through the park (and that are actually clean/not gross), so you can sit and enough watching your dogs play. Everyone Is much nicer here than the dog park in Templeton, so I always enjoy going here. We usually go into the small dog park since all of my dogs are from 18-32 lbs and they always have an absolute blast. One of my dogs love to play catch, and the small dog park has a ton of room for her to run around. The dog park is fully bark so there is not any grass, but that's pretty normal and my pups don't seem to mind one bit. Highly recommend this dog park for your pups!

Apart of the Central Coast Dog Park Alliance, this is one of nine semi-private dog parks that request a daily $1 fee or $30 annual fee. You can pay online or in person and of course, it's on the honor system. So don't be a jerk. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon the park was lively. A few labs and golden-mixes in the big dog section and three or four smaller pups in the small dog section. We appreciate the double gated entrance to prevent any escapes and all the signage reminding folks on the rules. While we keep potty bags on hand, we noticed the several maintained stations that offered these freely. It's clear this park is well taken care of by it's patrons and volunteers. Everyone there was pleasant, kind, and very in tune with their dogs. We appreciated the level of care and consideration everyone had with their dogs and their interactions. It made a slightly nervous mom a lot more relaxed. There was plenty of shade, trees to sniff, and toys and water bowls. Basically everything you could possibly need! While we were only there for about 10 minutes we will certainly be returning. It's also very nearby to the 46-West if you're on a wine adventure with your pup and need to give them a good break.

At the end of Gibson in the north end Main Street is a driveway that drops into a parking lot for the baseball fields! The fields are well maintained, there are bathrooms close by and we had a great ball game lasting into the cool evening with the wonderful lights! Wow! Bleacher seating for the watchers! Looks like a picnic and a ball game to me!
