If my appointment was going to interfere with his surgery, then why schedule it so tight or if the surgery came up and was an emergency why not call me! His time is not more valuable than mine!!! I left work a half hour early just to get there. I have no control over traffic or other silly things that tripped me up, especially when it was only three minutes. It was only for results so if the results are bad, I guess he can call me. They scheduled the appointment if it was going to be a conflict they could've called me.! if you couldn't wait till 130 what was he gonna do if I got there on time? Talk to me for two seconds and then rush me out! Rude just Rude!

For shoulder issues, 1 pre surgery and 1 post surgery. Both times I improved. Scheduling was easy. I never had to wait in a lobby. And the icing on the cake... I informed them I was moving out of town at the completion of my therapy (dec22). In February, I received a hand written card wishing me well for my move and to stop in and say goodbye if I had the chance. How many physical therapists or really any healthcare professional have you had follow up that wasn't an obligation and on a personal level? Highly recommend! (Unless you aren't injured or in pain. It's a relatively simple procedure, and the doctor I chose (Martusiewicz) did the job fine. I do miss the medical system out in Oregon though, as they tend to be more open to less pharmaceuticals and overall more open to individualization than they are here. The differences in Taylor vs Royal Oak were small, but a little bit of a bummer. Like in RO, I got warm blankets and was allowed to keep my underwear on. In Taylor, no to both. And then they allowed me to keep a thumb brace on in the OR. So...... just inconsistent and didn't make much sense. Which, IMO, is the issue with bureaucracy. Don't just do shit for the sake of doing it, have it make sense. But, somehow the American medical system forgot that we have brains that we should be allowed to use. The office staff at the Taylor location is much more friendly than RO. The x-ray tech I had was also friendly. The waiting room is okay, but still with the damn TVs - ugh. Plus, when someone comes in there and is a smoker, it seems to permeate throughout the room. Maybe it's the high ceilings - who knows, but I don't love it. Overall, I would probably use this office again - but it's not been my favorite experience in an ortho capacity. Let's hope that after this one, I'm done. :)

I patiently wait. Finally went and ask what was taking so long. The nurse came out and said the doctor was running late so she put me in a room to see another doctor and sat there for an hour and half and noone came to check on me. Went to the nurses station they were all talking, laughing all were young girls. The medical assistant finally came and said that they forgot about me and try to apologize and told me there were to many patients there and were busy but I arrive first and was never attended to left the office feeling discriminate against. If you are a minority dont go to Beaumont doctor's people of color are treated like shit. Just said I have good insurance and was treated so disrespectful.

The corrections in the rehab activities they gave me made all the difference in getting my rotator cuff full-thickness tear repair stronger and range of motion better than it was before the injury.
