I asked him if I would be able to still play tennis a year after surgery. He said yes. I still cannot play tennis to this day four years later without risking an ankle injury. My ankles are permanently swollen. I even did PT after surgery and it barely helped. Zahari will keep you coming in each month and do the BARE MINIMUM within a five minute appointment and then keep peppering you on to keep coming in. At one of these post op appointments he gave me an injection which he did not give me a single detail about what was being injected before he stuck a two inch needle in my ankle. I don't regret having my surgeries but I am extremely devastated about the situation I have to live with for the rest of my life now being in constant pain. Not to mention, I was given CHILDREN'S PAIN MEDICINE after a serious foot surgery which obviously did not help at all and I suffered the most extreme pain of my life the first 48 hours post surgery because I was feeling everything at full capacity.

Dr Vorkapich is superb and so is the staff…read more I had been to a walk-in clinic and asked for an appointment where I got my ingrown toenails done last time. I had a consultation, and they told me they would set up an appointment for me. Then I called the place where I thought they were setting up an appointment, and they told me they don't do that procedure anymore. There has been no effort to get in touch with me. I called the Foot Care Institute today and explained everything to them, and they squeezed me in the same day. I could not believe I was that fortunate. The doctor froze the toes very well so I wouldn't have any pain with the procedure, although I am a bit of a baby when it comes to needles. That's not their fault of course, that's just me. I just hope I didn't drive any customers in the lobby away with the noises that I made. The procedure went very well, and much to my surprise the doctor offered to put a solution at the base of the nails that would ensure they don't grow back this way. If I had known before that that was an option, I would have demanded it be done at the other place I went to the two times before. Needless to say I'm grateful to doctor Vorkapich for properly informing me of how this could be done and for doing such a wonderful job on it. I would recommend this place to anyone with any problem that can be treated there, and without reservation.
