I happen to live on Spring Street, so these guys are literally a hop, skip and a jump from my doorstep. So thankfully my laziness made the decision for me. And boy have I put these guys to the test. "Um... I'm going to the races in three hours and my dress is a mess. Can you save me?" Alas, they couldn't dry clean my garment (yes I confess it had been worn and irresponsibly returned to wardrobe less than pristine). But the press they gave it was so good, the perfect angles in this snow white Bettina Liano number detracted any attention from the marks I'd unknowingly amassed on my last wear.... And I receive dress compliments from punters all day long. I endeavour to get my clothes dry cleaned when I am in Sydney rather than going to one of those chains in the city. The team at this establishment are really professional; experienced and caring. They really know how to dry clean your clothes with class and finesse. My family also uses this establishment for their dry cleaning needs, and they have been just as happy and satisfied as myself. My clothes feel smooth and comfortable once they have been dry cleaned here. Their turnaround times are quite reasonable, and their hours are fairly flexible to cater to those busy city workers as well as to those care free locals who have all the time in the world to pick up and drop off their dry cleaning. There is nothing much else to really say here: apart from drilling the same point home. I love this establishment, and I think my clothes do as well. Never had an issue here at all based on the number of times I have come here for my dry cleaning and ironing needs.

This bag wash has saved my life more times than I can count, including before I got a washing machine at the house I've lived at for 6 years, and recently when our dryer broke down for a couple of weeks when it was really rainy. You drop your bag at the end of the queue on the floor, the completely lovely and always happy husband and wife team that run the laundry give you a wave and tell you when you can pick it up. Somehow they always remember who's bags is which and at $7 for a washed dried and folded load I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest bag wash in Sydney!

I deal in Ikea bags for this type of job, and I can bring a giant stuffed bag by in the morning and have it washed, dried and folded by early afternoon for $20-30, depending on my stuffing skills that particular day. The staff is friendly and efficient and it's always done on time without issue - what more could you want from a little wash & fold? I should note: there are not any machines available for you to do your own laundry.

I complained and questioned how it could possibly be 3 loads - I even took all my folded washing out of my bag and put it into one of their washing machines to prove that it was 1 load (it did fit, with room to spare), maybe 2 at the ABSOLUTE maximum. But there's NO WAY it was 3 loads. Please go somewhere else. Don't support this kind of crappy service and surprise excessive charging.

Solution is getting someone to do it all for you. This laundromat does a range of services such as altering, dry cleaning and of course the classic washing. They do a laundry bag wash and with that all those hours of slogging up and down stairs to the washer and dryer is no longer your concern. They charge roughly $25-$30 for about 10 days worth of washing. I go to the gym daily and work clothes each day so combined I would have a sizeable amount to be washed. They offer same day service and hours are pretty long 7am-7pm most days so it's possible to drop before and collect after work. Been using them for about 6 months and have had very few issues with them regarding quality. On one occasion a t-shirt or two was damaged but partly because they aren't meant for dryer but that's my fault. Convenient and affordable would have no problem recommending them to a friend.

PSA - NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE - COMPLETELY RUINED MY DESIGNER DRESS AND WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITTY…read moreFOR IT Purchased a dress and wore it once to a wedding (dress was brand new, no damage). The dress was inspected when I handed it in, I was charged a premium due to some of the dress detail and told it would take longer than usual. The lady that served me was particularly unpleasant but I put it down to being a busy Saturday. Received a phone call during the week saying that I had to come into the dry cleaner to collect the dress. I explained that I worked full time and it would be difficult but would I try, could they please explain the issue over the phone (which they refused to do). On Saturday I went into the store where I was told to wait and other customers who arrived subsequently were served before me. Eventually, someone came out and showed me the damage on the dress - multiple black stains on the back and front, a pull in the front, and the texture of the dress completely changed (as if it had been washed). The staff member then tried to explain that this was actually my fault because of a tag on the dress (which they failed to identify) and that they could attempt to fix it but could not guarantee the black marks would come out (I would have to sign off that I accepted they had no responsibility if the stains didn't come out). I looked at the dress and it was clear from the now rough fabric texture of my dress that they had already tried to remove the stain already unsuccessfully because there was a pull in the fabric in the front of the dress due to rough handling and I had never washed the dress (only worn for a few hours one evening). I declined. The staff were particularly rude and accusatory stating this was my fault. I told them they would have to pay for the dress (I had a receipt and the dress was so new it was still in stock). They refused and said there was nothing I could do and would have to come back and speak to the manager. I returned again the following Friday. The Manager was not in (and had made absolutely no attempt to contact me during the week). I was not offered an apology. I am in complete disbelief that: a) they had ruined an expensive dress I had worn once. I handed it in perfect condition and the dress was inspected in front of me b) that they could be so rude to customers - even an apology would have gone a long way, one staff member even yelled over me c) that they made no attempt to remedy the situation (the stains were never coming out and getting me to sign off on another attempt to clean the dress was clearly an attempt to absolve themselves of the damage caused to my dress. Unfortunately, I have to go through the exercise of reporting this to the various authorities - more out of principle than anything. I was able to photograph the dress before I handed it in, the damage to dress and then record the staff treatment toward me (literally yelling over me).
