I've had them for a while now, their work has always been just ok. None the less, we liked them and…read moreeven found ourselves tipping them cash, often. Had a recent job where extra sod was needed to be re-worked into my lawn so, who do we go to? Our lawn people at Turf Cruisers! They made me wait days to supposedly come and install it (after it was cut from our existing lawn) "be there Monday" but Monday came and after I text them, around 3 pm, I'm advised they won't be here until Tuesday (something they couldn't get for our job blah blah blah). Tuesday rolls around....the day came to install, well the yard wasn't how they "expected it to be prepared" so they walk away and left me with 4-5 day old sod that now we have to rework. "They don't have time to complete my job" was their response. Nice. No effort to even try and help. They absolutely flaked. They left us with a pile of sod sitting in our yard. They're just "too busy". They will give you no benefit of the doubt, none! "It's not their fault". They explained it. Not true or I would have never agreed to ask a cement company to do work we were willing to pay turf cruisers to do. I gave them 3-4 weeks notice of this work. Why would I do all of the hard prep work and not just complete the job myself? Don't use them unless you want mediocre work, horrible communication, absolutely no attention to detail oh and if you have time to follow-up with them, their schedule and to make sure the work actually gets done. Weekly mowing will never be done on time and she's a good talker and bs'er and will make any excuse to buy more time. Hard pass. I'll be notifying our referrals as well. Turf Cruisers responded on Google look there for original review. My response to their response: What a classy business owner. This review that I wrote was well earned. What good samaritans they are, they just wanted to "help me" almost sounds like they were just donating their time! Yes they were going to help me, for the rate of $94 an hour! What a joke. Also, I never uttered the words or eluded to "throw the sod on my dead grass" lol... I explained my frustration that had the message of "having men here to do a cement job, cut and remove self inflicted damaged grass on our lawn" to make their job easier and "help us with cost" was not a message that was conveyed by neither her or her husband because we would have had this disagreement then. The $300 dispute was a job that they started but, as my original review states, they are horrible at communication so when they did some of the job: "pre emergent" "special raking" she had told me that something wasn't complete because that doesn't get done until a certain time of the year. I don't know what these terms mean exactly so I'm at their mercy. That to me was an incomplete job. I assumed that seed was a part of the process because she kept bringing it up so I kept asking for it and thinking it was part of the original job that they hadn't got to. Also, they never communicated what was actually done, and I wasn't aware the fertilizer was ever used on my property until my husband remembered the visit where they left scattered "fertilizer" all over our cement, front and backyard, which AGAIN validates my original review. No attention to detail and sloppy work. Once I realized that most of the work was done, in my mind something is still pending, (great communication) I promptly removed that portion of my review which was fine because my main complaint was this particular job. Thank you Sarah for giving me the platform to elaborate even further the type of business you run and customer service you guys lack. And since we're airing personal info, these owners said they're moving to Florida. Find a good local company with current reviews of good work and great customer service. All of this could have been avoided had you just acted like a mature business owner and offered the benefit of the doubt that maybe your message wasn't conveyed as clear as you thought. Why else would this almost year long customer that's willing to pay you $94/hr not be ready?
