Icing the cake is the fact that they damaged my sidewalk, failed to return to fix it for 2 weeks and left it still marked from their mower stating they think the rain will get it eventually & they shattered my landscape lighting. They don't communicate, they showed up unscheduled and without contacting me first and in other instances, skipped portions of the job altogether(like a lawn mowing on 9/8 that wasn't done) All this and the owner says he considers the matter to be resolved as is without financially offsetting that I need to rent a pressure washer to remove the stains they left on the sidewalk and replace my lights

This is not a lawn company, just a broker…read more I sent a yelp quote request to a different business, but I hadn't done something like this before and didn't realize that yelp sends the quote info to multiple businesses in the same category. This business, which is not the one I was directly interested in, replied to my quote immediately via email. The response repeated some of the information I gave in the quote request, assured me they would be the right people for the job, and asked me to call the number listed on the page here. Despite the one-star rating, I decided to give it a chance and see what happened. When I gave them a call, a man answered the phone and gave the company name he worked for, which was not Shadyside Lawn Services. I didn't quite catch the name, and should have asked the man on the other end to repeat it if I'd had any presence of mind, but instead I asked him if they were the same business as Shadyside Lawn Services, already in doubt. He told me that he could get me in contact with "a lawn service" if that's what I needed, but that the business he worked at was not a lawn service in and of itself. It was difficult to bring the conversation to an end and hang up after trying to explain that I must have gotten a wrong number or made a mistake, but he wasn't impolite or rude, just persistent.

He said he could fix it right now and gave a very reasonable price. I said go ahead and within 30 minutes he had fixed a problem I had been dealing with for the last two years. He was very knowledgeable and even found a pipe that was not glued when he was installing the valve and fixed that as well I would highly recommend this business for their expertise and value for what they do. BUYER BEWARE We…read morepurchased a $2,300 refrigerator from Cabin Hill, our 4th appliance from them in about 6 months. We chose this long-standing, locally owned business because we believed we would receive reliable service and accountability. We also purchased the extended warranty on every appliance we've bought there. We were sold a defective product. Just over a year in, the freezer failed. We are now over two weeks without a functioning refrigerator, including through Thanksgiving. We lost hundreds of dollars in food and had to cancel holiday plans with our family and grandkids. The service technician spent over an hour diagnosing the issue and informed us that we had one of the most serious problems a fridge can have: a refrigerant leak, which rendered both the freezer and refrigerator unusable. We were told the repair would take nearly a full day and had to wait over a week for the appointment. After over 5 hours of work during the repair we were suddenly told that the refrigerator could not be fixed and we would need a full replacement. This was especially frustrating because just an hour earlier we were told that everything looked good and the repair would be finished soon. Instead, they said GE, not Cabin Hill, would be handling the replacement process. We didn't buy from GE; we bought from a local store expecting local support from their in-house service department. That expectation was a major factor in choosing this supposedly "mom and pop," 100-year-old business. What happened next was even more disappointing. I called today to speak to an owner, hoping that someone with actual decision-making authority might help our family. I was told an owner would return the call. After hearing nothing for 3 hours, I called again and was told the owners are never there. I was then transferred to a supervisor, who later identified himself as the highest-ranking employee on site. This supervisor was dismissive, offered no empathy, and provided no solutions. He repeatedly talked over me, refused to provide his manager's contact information, and would not pass our concerns to anyone above him. He hung up on me three times. I never yelled or swore; I was simply trying to get help. Am I frustrated? Yes. Did the arrogance, disrespectful tone towards a woman, and abrupt hang-ups escalate that frustration? Absolutely. We now have: A barely one-year-old refrigerator with catastrophic failure No usable fridge or freezer Hundreds of dollars in food loss A disrupted family holiday "Double coverage" in warranties that have produced no meaningful support A business passing everything off to GE, despite GE not being the retailer The most disturbing part is the complete lack of compassion, accountability, or willingness to connect us with an actual decision-maker. The supervisor claimed to be "in charge" but refused to share who his own boss was or how to contact them. Each time we asked, he hung up the phone. We expected much better from a company that presents itself as a caring, community based operation that has served our region for generations. Our initial experience, including excellent delivery staff was exactly what we had hoped for. But when it mattered most, that level of service disappeared completely. We have contacted the Better Business Bureau, and the Attorney General. People deserve to know the reality behind the reputation. This has been the worst customer service we have encountered, and the overall experience has left us feeling deeply uneasy about how this company does business. Proceed with caution. **The reply on GOOGLE by the business is not by an owner, as they are not involved with the business as we were told, and is not factual, see above. If it was, we wouldn't be here. Plus we called GE directly today 12.9.25, since we have heard nothing yet, and they had no idea about this issue, so more untruths. They also wondered why Cabin Hill was not handling this for us, and told us the tech cut the line too short and this is why the repair could not be completed. Lies upon lies so far. Shady stuff here folks.

I started using LawnRx in the Summer of 2020. I notice three of my neighbor's lawns look great and mine looked sickly. I have been in my home for 46 years and any work I did on the lawn I did my self but it never looked good. When I saw the LawnRX truck in the neighborhood I talked with the tech Gavin Boring. He was quite informative, friendly and answered all my questions. Based on what I saw in my neighborhood I was sold. I had them do the remainimg treatment for last year including, soil test, lime application, aeration and overseeding. I have never had a lawn that compares to what I have now. Zack and Tom were the technicians that serviced our lawn yesterday and even came back today to make everything was perfect.....and it was. Communication is an important key in consumer relations and the techs make sure to keep an open line of communication between Lawn Rx and the customer. Loyalty is a two way street and since we have been such loyal, long term customers, Lawn Rx reciprocates and often provides discounts for additional services and occasionally, those services cost us nothing at all. For me, customer service is #1 in my rating of any company - that's why i give LawnRx 5 stars = Their customer service and response time is absolutely unparalleled to other services. I need advanced notice on when they are coming as i have pets and LawnRx consistently alert me via text by "live" person text so i can respond if needed. I am with Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity on the campus of WVU in Morgantown WV. David and his crew came out on extremely short notice and were able to complete a hefty job within two-three hours for our new fraternity house on Spruce Street just off campus. Vines were everywhere, dead plants and shrubbery out on the front lawn, an ungodly amount of empty cans, trash from squatters, and lots of tree branches that needed removing. Lawn Rx has been taking care of my lawn and Birch Trees for many years. They remind me when they will be doing treatments and always come when they say are scheduled. Josh, the current lawn technician, is pleasant, friendly, works quickly and correctly, as have all lawn technicians who have ever applied the treatments. Excellent lawn care and customer service. Our lawn was a mass of weeds. I called Lawn Rx and viola, we have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. It was such an improvement, that approx. 4 other neighbors switched to them. Today, I was home and the service techs. came to treat the lawn. They got some granulated fertilizer on my patio, without knowing any one was home, they got the blower and cleaned off the patio. Quite frankly, I probably would have never noticed. Joshua was very professional. The service today was postponed by a few hours, as we were laying mulch in the flower beds when Joshua first arrived. He explained that the treatment could be hazardous to our skin for the first couple of hours after applying, and he would return later for the lawn treatment. I have never personally used Esposito Landscaping, but my story has to do with how they treat…read morenon-customers. I was married to a woman, whom I separated from. After I moved out of the house, she called Esposito to have them landscape the property. She signed whatever contract with them, and they did the work. She conveniently did not pay them, since she had no income. She files for bankruptcy. A few years later, I get mail from an attorney, asking me to appear at some court hearing. I don't appear because I got the notice the day before I had a meeting in NYC. Months go by, and I get another letter from the same attorney. A thick envelope. I go through it, and have to fill out something called interrogatories. I call the attorney and he explains that I'm being sued for not paying Esposito landscaping. I told the guy that I had nothing to do with Esposito, and had never signed a contract with them. He didn't care. The interrogatories were asking for things such as my property, and vehicle ownerships, and other such items. I told them to go pound salt. Well another 3 or 4 months go by, and they send me other letters telling me that there's now a judgment against me. AND that I have to appear at a deposition. I told them that I was out of town on the date that they have the hearing, and that if I don't appear, that I'll be held in contempt of court. Now mind you, this is over a $1200 debt. In doing some research, companies don't go this far unless you owe them hundreds of thousands. They're coming after me for a $1200 job that isn't even mine. Don't ever use this company, if you don't intend to pay them. God forbid you're living with someone that uses them, and that person doesn't pay them. They'll come after you even if you've never heard of them. I think I'm going to go file against someone for nothing. It appears that in Westmoreland county, especially Murrysville, you can sue anyone for anything for no reason, and get a judgement against them.
