I have used Lawn Doctor out of St. Augustine for over three years. First year was fine, but the the franchise was sold and the new owner continued servicing my lawn. However, my yard started to degrade. After awhile, large brown spots appeared all over my yard and it was thinning out exponentially month after month. Finally, I had enough of throwing money away and contacted the franchise owner, whom I never met personally. I informed him I was not pleased with the condition of my lawn and that with all the money I have spent over the years I should have the one of the best lawns on the street, but instead I have one of the worst, even worse than lawns that don't have professional care. I asked him to come out that weekend or in the evening when I would be home. It was an inconvenience for him to do so in the evening and that weekend he said he couldn't and he would call me when he could. I never heard from back from him so I emailed him that he failed to contact me and that I would hold off paying on the last service ($99.00) until he came out and discussed the remedy. His response to my email was, "..after a review of your account, its best that I cease doing business with you and I will forego the last treatment billing." Wow, so that is how you treat your customers when an issue arises about the service. Avoid using Lawn Doctor from St. Augustine. Not professional at all. read more
