I am so thrilled to have found Brandon and BG Lawn & Landscape. I'm new the the region and come…read morefrom a place where water restrictions and heat basically mean dirt and weeds are standard. When I moved to Colorado last summer I was in awe of the well kept manicured green lawns that everyone in my neighborhood had. Having really no in depth experience on how to maintain a healthy lawn I was really anxious as the winter chill left and spring began to green everything up. I had arrangements with another company but they flaked...absolutely flaked, so I reached out to Brandon more or less in panic mode as I did want my yard to get past the point of help as summer approached. Brandon responded to my inquiry on the same day as I made it and we agreed to a visit within a couple of days. He showed up on time, couldn't haver been nicer and most importantly for me... he was so patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. Later that evening he sent me a thorough proposal with fair and reasonable pricing. I approved the estimate and within a few days Brandon was out in the yard doing a ton of weeding, mowing, feeding and trimming. My yard already looks better and I'm sure within a few weeks it will be on par with all the other beautiful yards in my neighborhood. Thanks again Brandon!!

I hired Aspenwood to tear out and replace 4300 square feet of sod. Josiah came out to quote the job and his pricing was competitive. He was also successful in convincing me to consider a new strain of rhizomatous tall fescue over blue grass, with the former being resistant to drought and requiring less water to maintain. It looks great! His crew worked extremely hard and paid attention to detail while completing the project. Aspenwood had the right equipment to do an excellent job in soil prep, which included 15 tons of soil treatment. At the completion of the project, Omar (their crew chief) was meticulous in adjusting the sprinkler heads to their original state. Aspenwood Landscape is involved in other forms of landscaping, and I will be using them again in the future.

I was having a hard time finding a company that would do hand weeding in my rock beds. I also…read morewanted someone to just come mow once a week or every other. Very minimal needs, and just wanted some help weeding and mowing consistently. Dan stoped by and walked my property with me, and gave a lot of other suggestions about how to set up my drip lines or plant flowers or help my lawn get greener. He seemed to know what he was talking about! I said that perhaps long term I would be interested, but overall I wanted him to focus on just the weeding in my rock beds and my lawn. All I really wanted was my weeds to be gone. I also went and purchased flowers for the season, that my friend and I were going to plant after Mother's Day. And Dan said he could just get them in the ground for me, since he was there anyway. I then went on vacation for 4 days. He was supposed to be WELL done with those minimal projects by the time I returned. However, I returned, to what was nothing short of a disaster. He had (pictures attached): - Ripped all of my drip lines out of the ground - Thatched my grass into an oblivion without giving it water or nutrients after - Used the DEAD grass to fill in massive holes in my lawn from where he "weeded" - Did not weed my rock beds at all - Pulled all of my existing plants out of the ground, and let them die. Then replanted dead plants around my property. - Let the new flowers I bought die on the side of my house, potting them in mulch and clay - Removed the metal edging from my lawn and stole rocks my my neighbors properties to line the lawn with - Decided to bring broken drawers he had spray painted to put plants in above ground planters that were super ugly and nothing I had asked for It was awful. He did not charge me. But it was one of my worst experiences as a home owner. I spent grueling hours with my neighbors, had to buy all new bushes/flowers, and have spent all summer attempting to get my lawn back to life and property to be presentable. Finding a new company to help was hard because most people were booked up, but I did eventually find one and everything is coming together. I am also attaching a before picture so you know my property was generally "fine" to begin with. I would not recommend this company.

One of his techs tore out a section of lawn edging (photos included) when he aerated our lawn on 11 Jun 24, leaving a 2 to 3 foot section of torn and chewed metal exposed and hanging above the lawn edge for kids and HOA's alike... and never bothering to mention it. The tech scooted on me after damaging the property. Having had plenty of experience with managing tech's of a different sort, I can forgive odd personnel issues. Chris actually contacted me the day prior, but the question was if the Tech had ever even come out, to which I replied the negative, but then discovered the damage and aeration evidence that following morning, and sent him the photos you see attached. What can't be forgiven was Chris's response. It took him 2 full weeks to send out somebody to repair it. I got excuses, including him being on a trip out of town, but long story short, it was not until 24 Jun that I saw the repair. After only 3 (professional and polite) emails asking for an update (which I only started to send after a week of silence following "I'll look into it"), it was clear that I was a very serious inconvenience to Chris at this point, for wanting him to make good on his tech's error. The repair itself, no complaints. Chris emailed me personally yesterday, to inform me that his company no longer services my area. Honestly, it felt like I was fired as a customer in retaliation for this experience. Either way, I was already looking into a replacement for BestYard.
