But after some searching and trying on, I actually found two that I loved dearly, so I purchased. Before I made my purchase, I stopped by the beauty and perfume section and smelled some of the scents and at the end, purchased my two dresses and a perfume. Macy's has been known to be an upper scale store, so they are a bit pricey, but I won't complain too much. It was definitely necessary. I checked out at the perfume counter, and I felt like the only person around (which I kind was, lol), but she was fixated on me and my needs. We talked a little while I smelled some of the perfumes and at the end of it all, she walked away with a sale, and I had some items I needed. It wasn't extremely busy (rainy weather kept the crowds away I suppose) so I was shocked that I couldn't find a single person to help me at all. I wandered around for far too long trying to locate specific items and then tried to color match myself. I thought maybe they were short staffed but then noticed whenever the employees walked by, they asked every single other customer if they needed help with anything. I made eye contact with a couple of employees but they simply kept walking like they were on a mission. I have no issue with asking for help, but every time I went to approach someone they were chatting or making a bee line elsewhere. I have never had an experience like this at this location before but it was frustrating enough that I walked out without buying anything and will take my time and money to a more deserving company that treats their customers feel welcome.
