Yelp helped, and we walked over to Tuk Tuk, an eatery with table service. The menu listed many Asian dishes from around the region. My wife ordered Pad Thai, which I got to try and enjoy. I ordered The Bun, what I thought was a pulled pork sandwich with mayo and a few other things. When my Bun arrived, I saw that the bun was sliced differently, or maybe there were two buns. Anyway, it was not sliced like a sandwich bun. Knife and fork time, and what I found was every bite, from the soft bun to the filling in the center, was great. Turned out instead of just grabbing something to eat, we found someplace pretty cool. It was loud, a group of younger customers came in and livened the place up. The owner stopped by to chat with us. It was a great visit.

On our return trip we made sure we booked the 2 nights ahead of time. We had started our trip in Budapest where our Viking river cruise began. It was our first time on such a fancy trip. We are Pilgrims at heart, which is why we extended our trip for 3 more weeks. We ended in Amsterdam but took a train to Lourdes, then Bayonne, we were looking to hike an obscure Camino route " Camino del Batzon". It went from Bayonne to Pamplona. After our first day we found how obscure it was, Almost all the hotels had shut down due to lack of pilgrims. Time for plan B, we decided to go directly to Pamplona. We backtracked to Bayonne, then a bus to Pamplona, where our first stay was at this hotel. What a great city and made better by our hosts, so we hiked from Pamplona to Longrona and back. This was our shortest Camino, but I can now say I've been on all 5 of the major ones. Three complete from 2015, over 850 kilometers and 4 credentials We have stayed in Alburques on every Camino, so don't think this is an "Alburque", it's a nice place to re center. So thank you Hotel Campanilla for making everything easy and welcoming of Pilgrims. Buen Camino.

Pre-packaged salads were fresh, amazingly, and certainly welcome after a 2 week Spanish vacation with little in the way of green vegetables. Pastries and donuts were also good, and from the smell of it the coffee would also have been good. Given that there is seemingly no PriorityPass lounge in MAD for international flights back to the USA, this was the best option we came up with ... while it wasn't free, it fed us well before our foodless Norwegian Air flight back home.

The place has a lot of seating areas so you can come in a large group and still have space to dine. It wasn't busy at all at 9am. I suggest this place in tight situation when you need some food.

So glad that we found it because the everything was amazing. A small coffee & dessert shop that's very unique with an urban but home-like feeling. The owner was there to open and speaks English so that really made it comfortable for us to select what to eat. She gave us her recommendations on what to try being that you couldn't visually see what was inside most of the pastry items and the menu was in Spanish. I assume that it isn't a dog friendly venue...one of the patrons sat their dog outside while they enjoyed coffee. Their selections of pastries are endless; From cakes, to donuts, tarts, quiches, meat pies, meat empanadas, etc. I'm sad that I didn't try any of the sweets, but I did order the smoked salmon & queso cream cheese sandwhich, along with their puff pastry of spinach (my favorite) & beef & chicken empanadas. Light & small but shareable as my girlfriend and I enjoyed every last bite & toasted with a cup of coffee!
