So, there are few options outside of security, and if you take TAP Airlines, you're stuck with your luggage until two hours prior (if you are lucky), and can't pass through security (which reveals many more options). So, we got stuck on the unsecured side. Thus, Lavazza. We were able to pull our luggage cart up to a table, which was awesome. The food choices were...unimpressive. BUT! They do serve beer, wine, and coffee, if it suits your fancy. Funny, and hopefully random experience: A guy approached me (whilst alone) and spoke to me in Spanish. I responded, "Yo no hablo Espanol." So he spoke to me in French. I responded, "Je ne parle pas Francais." Then he spoke to me in English, explaining to me that he LIVES in the airport and wanted money. I was thinking, "You seem to have some pretty decent linguistic skills...maybe you can get a job here at Lavazza..." But that's beside the point... I digress....
Yeah, Lavazza is a fine place to hang out. Don't have any high expectations, and you won't be disappointed. read more
