Omg what in the world happened to my review! Anyhow, CA left such a lasting impression on me. I've been churr-ginized, lol. Thinner than Mexican-American style churros, less dense, and cooked through. The dipping chocolate really brought the buttery flavor of Churreria Avenida's recipe. Plus whatever oil is used tastes better than the best churro I've ever had in California aka Alto Mexico.
The restaurant is in a small neighborhood not too far from Madrid's international airport. Quick friendly 5-minute service and I was jumping in my taxi for actual breakfast. I did my best to speak my rusty Spanish and they helped me the rest of the way. Thank you Avenida. read more
