So we were pulling in back, when an older gentleman called out to us if we were looking to go to Lavash (which we were) and moved his car so we could park there - apparently he is the owner/manager of the location, as we saw him again inside shortly later! My date and I popped in here for hummus and a platter... and man, it's just deliciousness. I don't know what else to say, other than the food was amazing, and what I've come to expect from Mediterranean food. My first visit here was a learning experience - you order, you get paged (buzzed) when your food is up. Because they were a little busy, they buzzed us for our hummus first, and then when our plates were ready. All-in-all - it was all wonderful and delicious, and FRESH. Lavash is probably the restaurant I order from most in Columbus. The food never disappoints, and the staff is so welcoming, even if I just run in to grab take-out. My go-to order is the chicken shish kabob platter, which comes with perfectly charcoal-grilled chicken, a side salad, my favorite rice, and most importantly, the garlic sauce. Not gonna lie, the rice is so good I ordered it alone once because I wanted a snack. As for an appetizer, the hummus is to die for. As long as your menu selection stays with the Middle Eastern choices, you are in for a treat! I ordered the Snapper, didn't ring any bells, have had it better. My wife ordered the Lamb Mencef, it was absolutely fantastic! The meat was fall of the bone soft, the seasoning was subtle and wonderfully delicious. The rice and accompanying sauce were great. We had the most delicious Lentil soup, I have ever had. My wife doesn't care for lentils, she throughly enjoyed it and is hoping to do it justice when she cooks it at home. The Hummus was silky smooth and delicious. I definitely plan to make the 1 hour drive and visit this place again. We have been fans of Middle Eastern food for a long time, when we lived in Southern California, we were able to readily find great Middle Eastern restaurants. To have a better version of Middle Eastern food, you would have to fly overseas and go to the Middle East. It's great to have this option close by. read more

Lavash is a must for me when I visit Columbus. I can't say enough good things about this amazing restaurant, from the delicious made from scratch food, the incredible staff and how they make you feel like family right when you enter. I got the mixed platter and basically a gallon of garlic sauce and hot sauce (wish I got more to bathe in on the daily). WOW. So good!! Aside from the incredible food, the staff makes recommendations based on what your dietary restrictions are. I'm allergic to cashews and peanuts so they told me what to avoid or they'll make a new batch for me without those nuts. The price is super fair since I had leftovers, and it's all so healthy so I didn't want to die from regret after eating it. And I had the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert...I cried from pure bliss. I definitely recommend Lavash to everyone since there's options for any type of eater here, as well as the home style ambiance which compliments the food perfectly. Looooooooooove this place for many reasons. To state the obvious, their food is DELICIOUS. Everything is made fresh. Most recently got their chicken kebab with rice and their garlic spread which is absolutely to die for. Their black bean hummus and regular hummus are incredible as well. In addition, the entire staff is super friendly and helpful. The place itself is super cute and attracts such a wide variety of people and cultures. It's pretty neat. Oh Lavash Cafe, how I love thee. My husband and I order takeout from here at least 1-2 times a month and would totally do it weekly if our budget afforded it. We both love the shawarma plates, which are always generous enough for at least 2 meals. The salads are always crispy and fresh, the meat juicy, the rice delicate and fluffy, and the BREAD...this is one of the rare breads that I can happily eat plain. I'm also a big fan of the Low-Carb salad, which is a really neat concept because you can choose from any of their salads + any protein. These are also big enough to get more than one meal, though since it's a salad you can't push it too far. We've also tried the sandwiches, which are also very filling and delicious. Honestly, I don't think you can get a bad meal here. It's a great value for money, high quality, delicious, and the staff is professional and friendly even though it always seems like they are busy and moving a mile a minute to stay on top of the dining in and takeout orders. Also, do yourself a favor and try the banana pudding cheesecake. It's like Nilla wafer banana pudding and cheesecake fell in love and had a beautiful baby. Lavash recently catered a wedding I attended and my review is purely on the food since I have not been to the actual establishment. That being said, their food is DELICIOUS. I tried so many different dishes to include spicy black bean hummus, baba ghanoush, the lavash salad, shawarma (chicken and lamb), lamb and chicken kabob and their delicious bread and rice. Everything was delicious! Having spent a year in the middle-east, I have had ample opportunity to eat this genre of food and Lavash is completely authentic and spot on. Their food is delicious and everyone at the wedding was raving about the tastiness. The Lavash salad was one of the freshest and tastiest I've ever had from a restaurant and I am already craving more. Really expensive for the quality and portions of food. They swore to me that the lentil soup was vegan, but my partner had an allergic reaction to chicken base after eating it and got very sick. I will write this review as a love letter because that's how I feel about this amazing restaurant. To my dearest lavash, I know we have been seeing each other for a while now, at least once a month for the last 6 years. I can't stay away.
