I had to do some searching to find a place capable of doing a zipper repair, and when I initially described the job to Laurie and shared photos, she was open about the possibility that the repair might not be possible and that the situation would be clear only once they started work with the zipper. Laurie did a great job altering my dress. It was a sleelevess dress and the dress was a bit long and sat a bit low so I needed the sleeves folded inwards to shorten the height and pull the dress up. Laurie helped me with just that. I dropped the dress off with a one day warning and she was really accommodating. It was slightly pricy being $35 but the alteration was exactly what I wanted. I was able to try it on before and after as well to explain the request and confirm it was what I was looking for. I brought in a thrifted formal dress that needed several adjustments (broken zipper, loose strap, shorten hem, cinch neckline) and Laurie recommended specific alterations for each. Laurie was amazing! I asked her to fix a pant hem that was originally done by someone else, hem a lined dress for a wedding and pants, patch a pair of jeans and fix a zipper on another pair. Her work was so high quality on all services (it was very obvious to me which pant hem she did vs. the original one that had come undone). I also very much appreciated that she was honest with me; I originally asked her to take out a pair of pants, but she let me know it probably wasn't worth the cost for how little she would be able to based on the extra fabric available.
