Cody and I are both Texas natives so we were lost when it came to locations, dress attire- the whole thing. However, Larissa made this process as smooth as could be. Not only was she so beneficial in coordinating everything for us, she also took the time to truly know me and Cody through questionnaires and authentic conversations. During our shoot we spent the afternoon having fun while snapping candid photos (which in our opinion, is the best!) Overall, we swell with pride and gratitude everytime we look at our engagement pictures. This wasn't a job that was taken lightly by Larissa and we love her so much for that. She understands and values every single vision that you have while intertwining her professional expertise. Last but not least- our final pictures! (I am happy dancing while I type this) We are over-the-moon about them! What I appreciate the most about her amazing craft is that she took the time to capture Cody and all of his features equally as much as mine, which I find to be rare during engagements sessions. I can't wait to show our future children, grandchildren and so on how handsome he was/is through these pictures. If I could turn back time I would high-five my past self for booking with Larissa. :-) In fact, as soon as we wrapped up our session Cody looked at me and said, "She has to do our wedding photos!"

From the first moment, she was so helpful and easy to work with. She had this great questionnaire to fill out to get to know us as a couple, and while I am normally not a fan of questionnaires this one was so fun and we genuinely learned a few new things about each other! She took care of absolutely EVERYTHING leading up to and during the shoot, down to helping me choose which hat to wear (which she was totally right about!). And then during the actual shoot she made us feel so comfortable and natural. We do not normally take a lot of pictures but she made it easy and fun and we were laughing the whole time. She truly captured who we are as a couple! The photos are absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to share them with everyone and get them printed! We would 100% recommend Larissa and We, The Light Photography to anyone getting married, especially anyone who is looking for a fun adventure wedding. Trust me, you will be so happy you did!! Personality - An extremely kind and friendly professional, Jennie will literally climb a mountain or tree to get the best angle for a picture of you. She is a dedicated person who is an absolute delight to interact with. Responsive and thorough, she is an ideal vendor. Pricing - Jennie has levels of pricing that can accommodate anyone. We had originally booked her longest package for 10 hours of shots and an assistant. The wedding was thrown off by COVID-19 and she was extremely flexible and thoughtful in letting us switch to a new 3 hour schedule. She charged us no fee and sent us a new contract right away. Her flexibility saved us tons of stress during a very difficult time. We wanted her there no matter what! Quality - During the ceremony, I (the bride) broke out into serious hives that were clearly visible from my neck and down my arms. I was devastated that all the photos would clearly show my stress from the day. Not on Jennie's watch! She spent WEEKS meticulously taking off every hive from those photos and making me seem flawless that day. I couldn't believe it and cried with relief when we got the photos. All the photos were so flattering and had gorgeous lighting. Her photo cues and set ups are fantastic. She truly celebrates all kinds of love and is an open and loving individual. I wish I could thank her more for the beautiful memories she gave us. With her, we forgot about the change wedding, the pandemic, and the logistical issues of the day and she didn't need to tell us to smile big (we felt it already)! Thank you, Jennie - we adore you!

She is absolutely amazing, both as a photographer and a person! My now-husband and I were both super nervous to get our pictures taken - we were worried we would be awkward and too posed. For both our engagement and wedding photos, Jennie did a great job making us feel comfortable. She gave us wonderful prompts to help us interact while she was photographing so the photos felt natural, fun, and so meaningful. At the wedding, not only was she IMMENSELY helpful when we were making last-minute decisions about the rain, but also very kind, supportive, and calm throughout the night. I've heard so many great things from friends and family about how much they enjoyed interacting with Jennie at the wedding, and the photos she took capture exactly our vibe and special moments from the wedding. She was detailed while going through our list of posed family photos, and also made a point to photograph our guests interacting. We loved our experience with Jennie and would recommend her to anyone looking for stunning wedding/engagement photos. Thank you, Jennie!

Her gorgeous photos and dreamy editing truly speak for themselves, but what really sets Makaila apart is her remarkable eye for capturing the raw emotions and authentic moments of a wedding day - the little moments between us when we weren't posing, candid shots during our ceremony, our family and friends' reactions, creative shots capturing the decor and venue. She did such an amazing job capturing not only the look, but the feel of the gorgeous natural setting (from the jagged backlit mountain peaks down to us hiking in the dirt with our fancy shoes). She really has an eye for creative compositions and shots that feel genuine, fresh, and full of life. She was great at giving us natural and romantic posing directions and yet also had an uncanny ability to catch the best candids of us, family, and friends.
