Her shots are incredible, she is overwhelmingly accommodating and easy to communicate with, and she clearly cares deeply about her couples' wedding experience and the memories she is capturing. Highly, highly recommend! And the longer review: We first found Dylan almost 2 years before our wedding after looking at some of her photos online. We already knew based on that brief look that we loved her shooting style that really seemed to capture the moment in a way that others seem to miss. She didn't rely on tricks like aggressive photoshop or black & white to tell a beautiful story. And then we met her on a snowy day in Boulder and instantly knew she would be the one to photograph our wedding. As we talked over coffee, we felt an immediate connection and by the end of the meeting when she told us to think it over, we refused--this decision required no additional thought. From then on, Dylan made it feel like we always had an extremely pumped teammate cheering us on on the way to the wedding. We loved her intermittent emails checking in, and we also loved her awesome Instagram posts with photos of weddings and engagement sessions she had just shot. When it came time for our own Engagement session, she even managed to make time (by taking a full afternoon from visiting with family in Philly) to come to Baltimore to take ours, which we appreciated so much. The engagement session with Dylan was so easy and stress-free and the photos she took were stunning. The use of the scenery and her eye/skill for real shots made it a joy to do and made the end product something worth keeping forever (not just something to put on the save the dates). One year later and seeing Dylan was like seeing a missed friend. She made the photos of friends and family (that are usually stressful and boring) fly by and took some of the most amazing photos I have ever seen. She somehow controlled a large group of loud relatives and got through an enormous number of group shots during the cocktail hour. She also seamlessly stole us during the reception for some gorgeous sunset photos, which were so fast and easy that it was like we were never gone, but which are incredible beyond words. And then during the reception she and Lauren (her second) swooped around the tables, festivities, and dance floor like true ninjas, taking a combination of artistic shots and action shots of the night. Two people even commented the day after the wedding that usually guests end up taking pictures and the photographer is always in them, but somehow our photographers were always there but never in the way. While we think that Dylan could never be in the way, it was nice to hear that they thought so highly of her professionalism throughout the night that they thought to mention it. Dylan exceeded all of our expectations for what a photographer could or should be. We loved working with her, adore her work, and could not more highly recommend her to anyone getting married and looking for a great photographer. She is by far and away the best and easiest decision we made when planning our wedding!
