So the most relevant question you might ask yourself is, "Why do this?" Why hike to a remote part of the wilderness and have your wedding photos taken? Because after the wedding is all over, other than the marriage, the memories are what you keep. Photography is a big part of cherishing those memories. Before meeting them on our wedding day, they had kept good contact with us through e-mail, phone, and Skype throughout the year. They even sent us a beautiful care package for our wedding! Our experience was all together adventurous, memorable, and spiritual. We met early in the morning at Sequoia the day of our wedding just before sunrise. Standing on this peak looking over the distant mountains and misty valley below as sunlight broke across the landscape was magical, and it's a moment you only get once. Marc and Brenda knew exactly where and when they could capture the best shots. It was everything and more than we wanted and envisioned. Marc and Brenda were wonderful throughout the morning shoot, even sharing their incredible knowledge about the park! They moved around and took pictures from every angle imaginable; they were humorous and good conversationalists as well as minimal with posing instructions. They made us feel at ease and comfortable; we found ourselves cracking jokes, dancing, and making up silly vows while posing. While we were having fun, Marc and Brenda took care of the rest. Quite the opposite from what many may dread from a photo shoot, we felt refreshed, invigorated and already married! We still talk about this as a positive springboard into our actual wedding day. The photographs Marc and Brenda took of the ceremony and reception were just as stunning as the pictures they took on Moro rock. At one point, Marc was up in a tree off to the side getting a great bird's eye view of the reception. Brenda and Marc excel at catching spontaneous moments when everyone is just having fun and being themselves. We did one more photo session in Yosemite. Again, team Bergreen was fantastic! They knew the area, where to get the best photos, and how to get there with minimal hassle. In summation, working with Bergreen we got more than just beautiful photos. We got those moments, the hikes, the sunrise at Moro Rock, kissing inside the trunk of a Sequoia tree with dogwoods flowers blooming nearby, dancing under the sunbeams on a hiking trail, climbing atop boulders and tree trunks, strapping on hiking boots with our wedding clothes on, walking through the crowds at Glacier point, testing our nerves at the very edge of Taft point, and looking across all the beauty and majesty of these national parks in breathless wonder. Brenda and Marc are truly awesome and our experience working with them was nothing short of perfect. When we began planning our wedding, there were a thousand decisions to make but the one we never thought twice about was deciding to go with Bergreen photography. From the very beginning, Brenda and Marc were super easy to work with and accommodating to all the unique aspects of our big weekend. They spent a large amount of time planning with us from the start to make sure they understood our event and would cater their time specifically to what we wanted to ensure would get captured through their lenses - it was wonderful to have the two of them so involved from the start. Our wedding was a large, multi-day, camping event that we wouldn't have had the first idea how to appropriately capture and record, but Brenda and Marc handled the challenge with ease. From camping out with all the guests, to canoeing with the bride and groom at sunset for the perfect photo op, both of them fully immersed themselves in our wedding and captured all the moments we wanted to have photographed, whether we knew about them or not. One of the best examples of this was on the morning before our ceremony; we had planned out a 5k costume trail race through the woods for all our guests before breakfast. As my wife and I were running through the woods dressed respectively in a tutu and dinosaur outfit we looked around to see Marc racing along beside us, holding a camera, and snapping photos of all the ridiculous outfits racing through the trees. Brenda was right there as well capturing photos of the starting line and sprint to the finish. You could just tell the two of them loved being involved in all the fun and made sure they were close by when there was something you'd want to have captured on camera. Marc and Brenda photographed our wedding last summer. From the initial introductory interview to the final photo album and prints, these two were exceptional. They took a lot of time getting to know exactly what we wanted from our engagement photos and wedding photos, and then they really followed through! We were really attached to having our engagement photos involve mountain biking, and after two snow storms thwarted our plans in Colorado they came all the way to Moab with us to get the most epic shots ever! We were both not excited about posing for photos, and they did a wonderful job getting shots of the two of us without us ever feeling awkward and fake. The photos really demonstrated this. All of our favorites were the moments they caught while we were just being us (giggling, crying, embracing and dancing!!). Having two of them there made a huge difference, getting two vantage points of those big moments is so crucial, it cannot be overstated how much that can make a difference to really capture the full mood. They were lightning fast at getting images back to us, in fact, we were at the airport waiting to depart for our honeymoon just one week later when we got the online gallery, what a way to set out on that journey! I admit that I was skeptical about the value of the wedding album that comes with their package, but now that I have it, I am SO GLAD I got it. Professional quality and expert page lay outs. I couldn't be happier (actually I could, if I had sprung for the larger book)! One excellent piece of advice I was given when I started the wedding planning process was to invest in the photography; it's these pictures that you'll have from years from now to look back on to remember your special day. Choosing Marc and Brenda was, without a doubt, the best wedding investment we made! .The first time my husband Tim and I met the Bergreens was at Starbucks and we chatted over a cup of coffee. It was a casual setting and not stuffy at all; and that's just the way we like things! They made us feel comfortable from the get-go. Tim feels pretty awkward in any picture-taking event, so it was very important to have someone photographing us without any added stress. Our engagement photo-date in Sequoia National Park was such a fun day! Marc and Brenda did give us some direction, but basically let us do our own thing. Everyone feels like their wedding was the most beautiful day ever (and we are no exception!), but Bergreen Photography captured the beauty and energy of the day so impeccably, it comes to life when we look at the pictures. In preparation for the wedding weekend, they helped us think through what kinds of pictures we wanted and how to work them into the wedding day plan. On the day of, they were organized and they naturally work so easily with people that we got through the family portrait session super efficiently - it was amazing - and then could get back to the cocktail hour! They used the outdoor space creatively to make really gorgeous compositions for our portraits right after the wedding ceremony, and then again just before sunset to catch the perfect light. Their dual-camera partner approach is very effective so you get different kinds of shots and angles of the same event. We don't know where to begin about Marc and Brenda but the fact that they are the most amazing people you will ever meet! My wife and I knew they were the photographers for us the second we sat down and had a conversation with them. Not only do they take AMAZING photos but they make you feel like friends not another customer and we loved that about them. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like you are getting the best you can get. At our photo date they brought us a marriage survival kit. It had champagne and chocolate and massage oil and candles, and they told us to relax and enjoy it while they got set up! After the wedding was done we got to work with them to put together our wedding album. The quality of the wedding album is by far nothing I've ever scene! And just when you think the fun surprises stop, Marc and Brenda throw in their crafty touch! Our wedding pictures were sent to us on a handmade flash drive in a handmade little bag with charms on it, we were blown away. I cannot say enough positive things about Bergreen Photography! I feel so lucky that my husband (fiance at the time) found Marc & Brenda. We were getting married in Yosemite National Park and wanted photographers who were experienced in the park and took really epic landscape shots. Bergreen was everything I hoped for and more. Marc and Brenda are both incredible people and massively talented photographers! They documented our special day for us in November 2018 in Breckenridge, CO. These two are unique in that they were able to utilize the natural beauty of our surroundings to make our pictures even more special. My husband and I could not be more happy with their services. We could not have imagined more beautiful pictures that captured our wedding ceremony and the amazing landscapes at Yosemite. They are both extremely talented photographers! Price was very fair especially considering their experience. Perfect amount of photos, variety of time packages to choose from. Professional, yet natural feel (not over-edited). And they were so easy to get along with. We're so thankful we came across this team for our Yosemite National Park elopement! As our only "guests", they made the day incredibly fun, yet made sure we had the intimate elopement vibe we were going for. They are so knowledgeable and passionate about the parks and their process. We really wanted photographers who could capture the outdoor beauty of our mountain wedding, as well as draw out our personalities in our photos. Iron Doggy hired Begreen Photography to take pictures of our hands-free running leashes in action, a challenging task because half of our models were dogs. We were blown away by the results. Brenda & Marc did an incredibly thorough job of understanding our brand, and the specific requirements we had for demonstrating important aspects of our products. They helped us find the perfect spot for the photoshoot, helped us line up both the human & canine models, and conducted the shoot itself in an incredibly organized and fun manner. The best way to describe these two, would to just say they are absolutely amazing! My wife and I came across their site when we were trying to find a photographer crazy enough to fly out to Yosemite and take pictures at 6 am for a sunrise wedding.
