This review is in reference to 'The Meeting House'…read more The Meeting House is a rental location that is owned and operated by The Village of Westclay. Renter beware if you choose to host your event at this location. The Village of Westclay did not return my damage deposit stating that my event caused over $1250.00 of damages in a mere four hours. My event did not cause any of the alleged damages. I hired an attorney to assist with this matter but the Village of Westclay would rather take this matter to court. I do have the open to take litigation against The Village of Westclay but the legal fees would surpass the amount of the damage deposit. I am a small business owner and do not have deep pockets for this type of situation. I made the mistake of not taking pictures of the damage we found prior to our event assuming that Village Of WestClay Owners Association already had the damage documented. There was no pre-event walkthrough and the event coordinator was not at the event. In the end, I was never given an itemized invoice for the damages. Normal 'wear and tear' is to be expected when renting out a facility to the public to use. However, what I am being charged for is excessive. It is obvious from the photos below, and from the inspection that I did at the Meeting House after receiving them, that the damage and needed repairs are old, outdated, and could not have been caused within the four hours of hosting my event. The fees they charged for events should cover ongoing upkeep of the Event Space; they should not need to resort to making false accusations against visitors to their Event Space in order to maintain it. I do not recommend this rental location to anyone. I feel that it a scam and that they took my money with no intention to return. Renter is warned if you choose to host an event at this location.

We sold…read moreour home and had to move out before we were able to purchase another home so we rented a house in the village. Since we have lived here, I have heard countless stories similar to our own. The Village of West Clay is beautiful. It is a great location within Carmel. It has beautiful green space and parks. It has tons of amenities BUT it is not dog friendly. On the first day we moved in someone complained to my husband that our dog, in our yard was not on a lease. He was in our yard. And there is NO law that says a dog must be on a lease in your yard. A couple of weeks later, a neighbor contacted the HOA to complain that our dog was not in a leash again on our property. The HOA proceeded to notify us and our rental company. One of our neighbors, had a German Shepherd puppy who got loose one day and as he chased him, another neighbor confronted him so rudely that another neighbor intervened. After that she made a cruel post on Nextdoor. The man put his house on the market the same month. These type of incidents have continued the entire time we have lived here. One lady even chased me down the street and asked me to hose down her lawn after I cleaned up after my dog who went potty in the grassy area by the curb near her house. The list goes on and on. You get the point. It would be a wonderful neighborhood if it weren't for the crazy people who obviously have an issue with dogs.

I found her…read morethrough Yelp while searching for a realtor to help with our move from California, and from our first conversation, I felt immediately at ease. Our move was a bit more complex, as we needed to find a home not just for our family, but also for a family member moving with us, each with their own set of needs. During a weekend visit, Jennie essentially became my personal guide to the Carmel and Fishers area, taking the time to tour homes, walk me through different neighborhoods, and help us weigh our options. She truly listened to our criteria and went above and beyond to find options that fit our unique situation. With Jennie's help, we found the perfect homes for both our family and our family member. She supported us throughout the entire process, from virtual open houses to navigating escrow, and even continued to be a resource afterward, connecting us with contractors, plumbers, and painters as we settled in. Jennie genuinely cares about her clients, takes pride in her work, and sets high standards on their behalf. Over these past few months, she's become not just a trusted real estate partner, but a friend I still reach out to as we make Carmel our home.

Didn't see a legitimate charge for that. Doggy poop bins installed without 90% of owners input. Half the poop is on the grounds and or bins full for weeks to months. There is a squeaky swing set on small playground. Can hear squeaking a block away. We do not have any amenities. Monies are left over but no clear discussion about where it is being kept or how it should be spent. Heard talk about spending our dues on installation of a fence along Prospect Street to add some privacy. It remains to be seen. We have a right to have an attorney look into our monies each year. It's worth taking a look at all monies going out and coming in. We can also look into the hired help to see if there is personal interest with named businesses. We can also do our own research into communities that pay lower HOA fees with more amenities and ground keeping. I doubt if this community get site visits as evidenced by some of the residence have weeds that make up their entire lawns. Letters should be sent and improvements noticed. Let's take action and stop letting the members make all of the decisions on how our money will be put to use. As of now, it does not add up.
