My son has been with them since he was 6 months he is now graduated going to kindergarten with reading writing and math skills and I currently have my 3 year old enrolled with them who's speech has vastly improved since enrollment one year ago and my newborn will certainly be enrolled with them.

I went to register my child and no one was there at the front desk to greet me. As I patiently waited I was able to observe class room 1 (the infant room) to the left of the elevator. and all children were in cribs crying, while unattended with the lights on. When some one finally came to greet me, it was about 10 to 15 minutes into my observation. The director told me the children were napping. I told her about my observation and that the lights were on. It was approximately 11:35 am. I asked to see infant schedule to confirm naptime, and I was denied. She told me if I register my child I will see it. She was very rude and suggested I dont register my child if I had any complaints. I wasnt at all rude neither did I complain. I was only concerned and had a few questions. I realize everyone is entitled to their own opinion and or views so I chose not to go back and forth with her or or enroll my child. I just pray this isnt some one elses business they have just sabotaged. Atleast no one was being abused. Hence the purpose for the 2 star and not 1.

Let me preface this by saying, my child has not actually attended yet. This review is solely based…read moreon my sign-up experience. I walked in without an appointment because I didn't want anyone "preparing" for my visit. The staff was surprised as though people didn't walk in often, but still very nice. They were all very accomodating, they had no problem in letting me do a walk through. All of my questions were answered. I got a chance to meet some children and they were all very well behaved and adorable. There was a well planned out menu on display which showed breakfast, lunch and snack foods for the week (Included in the base price yay!). There was also a daily schedule posted. It included circletime, academics, a 2 hour nap time. For all you Christian parents out there, I was happy to see a 1/2 hour daily "Devotion" period scheduled daily. There were cots for sleeping, I was told to bring 2 blankets (for spreading down and for covering, 2 copy books, crayons and a change of clothes). Everything looked clean and organized. There were tons of educational material plastered everywhere, the place was very CLEAN and the kids looked happy. The staff were not pretentious at all , no one tried to give me an illusion of perfection. They stated facts, showed me whatever I asked for and I signed my child up on the spot. They provide free bus transportation to limited Queens neighbourhoods (Ozone Park, Jamaica, Richmond Hill I believe); they do pick up and drop off. He starts this Monday, I will certainly give an update in a few weeks once he's adjusted (or hasn't ;) UPDATE!!! My child attended for several months and I was overall satisfied with the care he received.

My 3 year old son just started Playmates in June and he is loving it. Being an educator myself, I…read morewas a little worried that they would make him sit for long periods of time for rote academic practice, but the students are quite active and are always "learning by doing" which is great since it corresponds to their mental development. The staff is also quite loving and gentle with the kids. I've never heard them speak harshly and my son is excited to get to school in the morning -- Ms. Amita, Ms. Ruby, Ms. Joanna, Ms. Lina (sp?) we are your biggest fans -- Thank you!! (Nikhil) (The only drawback is the uniform, my personal belief is that children especially at that age should be able to be independent humans -- but that being said, wearing a uniform will make it easier to dress him in the mornings).

With playmates nursery I felt comfortable and safe that my son who is 2 1/2 would be protected. When he started the daycare he was hardly speaking now hes a chatterbox. he comes home with drawings and activities he did throughout the day . Playmates nursery is a school like atmosphere and the kids are treated like they r in school with routines. the teachers are very nice. The only negative thing I would say about this school is that on the holidays for instance like Christmas they r off for 2 weeks. im a working mother I cant afford to find someone to watch him for those 2 weeks , that what im paying a daycare for. Another thing is that its a little pricey . the kids have to wear uniforms , you have to buy supplies , etc. they are very good but there are a few things they can switch around.
