So....I put on this cheap POS ring for adornment to attend a dinner party. After eating and…read moredrinking I noticed my finger was starting to swell, just slightly, but I wanted to take it off. With coconut oil, nothing happened....but the twisting and turning made my finger swell big time. I iced it, raised my hand above my shoulder and left it alone. When I made it home from the party I decided to give it another try after searching google. There are six ways to remove a ring. I tried 4. I had dental floss wrapped around my finger and it likely would have worked but I spazzed and got spooked when it got a little stuck around my knuckle....what if it got stuck? What if my finger turned blue? What if I had to get my damn finger amputated? So one of the suggestions was to go to the ER or a fire department. Well what do you know....there's volunteer fire department a mile from my place. I called them to see if they had the ability and would see me at 2am....and YES! With my night gown, a leather jacket, my hair pineappled, and contacts removed....I make the trek. One fireman met me at the door....he already had his tools prepped. And he went to work. Two other firemen were likely amused and stayed to watch. He sawed the ring in three places. At times my elbow was stabilized or my finger was depressed , but I was calm. That crap is finally off and I am free and I get to keep my finger. I'll be donating to the Volunteer Fire Department when the next solicitation letter comes!!!!!! Thanks guys!

Zero Star! This…read moreplace is horrible! Worst place in entire world, they treat you like lab animal no humanity in anyone who is there! It was like hell hole.... dirty place, food sucks, food is extremely expensive inside, correctional officers were rude and mistreating people and looking at them like animal!

Do not eat here! Horrible restaurant…read more First off they have a "different" dining experience than what you may be used to. Similar to Medieval times, although the food is not as bad still not good. You have to relinquish all of your personal items, shoes, jewelery, etcetera. Weird concept but I'm open to new dining experiences. Seating is also a little odd. Their "booths" are more like small rooms with steel doors and locks. Also the "booth" has a sink and toilet in it. I'm guessing that's how they do it in France but it really didn't improve the ambiance. Service was an absolute nightmare. You think that after taking your picture and fingerprints it would lead to a more personal dining experience. WRONG. I sat in my "booth" for like 2hrs before even seeing anyone. When I did, did she take my drink order? No. She asked if I needed to make a phone call. WTF? If making phone calls is so important to the restaurant then why did you take my cell phone? You think I actually remember phone numbers? I know like a billion people. Not even Stephen Hawking on that pill that gives you the ability to use your whole brain could memorize that many numbers. I digress... I declined the use of a phone, and politely asked for an ice tea and perhaps a wine list. Now I have to emphasize that I did in fact ask politely because for some reason she said I was being a " Smart Ass" and freaking tazed me. When was the last time you were tazed for asking for a wine list? Well only if you've eaten at that Friday's in Baltimore, but I surely did not expect it at a "fine" dining establishment. When I came to and wiped the drool from my face I noticed my food was waiting for me. Having not seen a menu I guess it is a Chefs selection type deal. Well this "chef" must have recently gone through a horrible divorce as the selection was appalling. Hot dog, little carrots and a box of milk. Not having my watch I am unsure how long I was passed out but everything was cold except the milk. The bun was uninspired and tasted like paste. I am not sure what animal ass they used to make the hot dog but I think it was actual dog. VERY gamy and chewy as was the milk. Good thing the toilet was there because I gave the meal right back. Now the bill... You can't simply ask for your tab and leave. Oh no. You have to have a chat with a bitter old person they simply call "The commissioner" . I never thought we would have to review the history of my life and careers to give me the freaking bill for the meal. She was all double homicide this, racketeering that and really I just wanted to get out of there. Total bill? $25,000.00 No I didn't have a seizure on my number pad you read it right. Twenty Five Thousand Dollars. "We take credit cards with a nominal fee but no discover or amex" she tells me. Really? Well let me tell you Visa is not keen on raising your limit for this particular restaurant. Denied. Well that's not a problem because they have hundreds of numbers of people that will pay your bill for a 10% sir-charge. Thank goodness. I spoke with a Mr. Tiny set it up and within a couple hours I was finally allowed to leave the restaurant. Second worst meal ever. If you read this far I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs. If you are bored with the same ol dining experience, i would suggest a picnic instead. Unless you like your meals with a side of S&M you will not like it.

Got tuned into the need to check my fire extinguishers after lately seeing so many deaths and…read moredestruction by house fires in the news. Without an education about inspection or servicing my extinguishers, I just assumed the units would work when needed and I would know instinctively how to use them. So, 'attending to my home's extinguishers' never made it to my to-do list. After getting a brief education on youTube, I learned how critical fire extinguishers are to home safety. Since Fire Departments are so enthusiastic about smoke, carbon dioxide, and radon detectors, I was disappointed to learn that not only do they not execute recharging and inspections but the service rep had no referrals. Recommendations to homeowners regarding fire extinguisher protocols, inspection, and usage should rate the same attention as their smoke detector promotions. Workshops on when and how to use fire extinguishers should be standard in our schools, hospitals, airports, businesses, home owner insurer inspections, etc as well as part of our Fire Departments' community education programming, locally and nationwide. Think about the potential exposures to fire during and after impacts on structures by extreme weather events. Moreover, so many vehicles have recalls with warnings of spontaneous combustion while driving and/or when garaged. Even airplanes, electric vehicles, and electronic devices have increased instances of battery fires and explosions. Domestic airlines just established a mandate that all battery packs and battery-driven devices be displayed and NOT packed in cargo OR in overhead cabin luggage due to recent fires. Nonetheless, my online search turned up F&M FIRE PROTECTION with a five star rating for inspection and recharging fire extinguishers, among other services. This company should be on the Fire Department's resource list for local fire extinguisher services. Though I figured my units were too old to recharge, rather than default to an online purchase, my choice to visit in person was the right move. This location is a great value if you are in the market for fire extinguishers, inspection, and/or recharging. After shopping by browser, I found per unit rates to be same as online with the added value of receiving a full understanding of related data points you may not have considered. Though the building is tucked away in an industrial park, GPS can get you there without a hitch. Worth the side trip to be struck by the high-spirited, personable attention you get, delivered by a light-hearted team with a gallery of antiques on display.
