I contacted Laura McClaighlin's office over 3 weeks ago to see if she was taking new patients. I spoke with her PSC and was told that Laura would need to review my information to see if I would be a good fit with her. I was then asked why I was wanting to change to a different PCP. I was honest with my answer. I then was told that if I didn't hear back in the next few days to call back. I ended up calling 3 different times to get this answer. Today was the 3rd time. I was put on hold so that her PSC could get an answer. I was told "Laura said no. She said that i wasn't going to be a good fit. This answer was based on my answer that i gave as to why I was looking for a new PCP. I have never had any negative interactions with my PCP. This was soley based on my personal feelings about the care I had been receiving. I was told that Laura practices the exact same way. That does not speak highly of her as a professional in her field!!! I was so upset when I got off the phone!! I did my research on providers, read their reviews, before I contacted them. For those patients who have positive experiences with her, I am really glad for you. But to be rejected by a provider based on wanting better care for myself is not ok!!! So to any potentially new patients who are looking to become established with her be very careful when you are asked why you are looking for a different provider!!!! Honesty may not be the best policy for you!!! read more
