Writing this review has been on my mind for quite a while. Now that I have finished reading Laura's new book The Prism it feels like it is finally time to share an honest take on her work and working with her. My first encounter with one of Laura's books was years ago, finding her first one, Practical Intuition, perched on a stack at a thrift book store. Reading that book was like plugging my psyche into an outlet. Electric. Though it took many more years to build up the nerve to move beyond only reading her books, pining over the newsletters, scanning the other Yelp reviews here, and generally just daydreaming, to really try to practice with Laura directly. Signing up for her bootcamp was a someday maybe item on my lifetime Katharine wishlist for too long. Last year I just went for it. If you are considering joining bootcamp my hope is you will have the chance to let yourself have this gift too. It is an extraordinary mind-bending joy. As a bonus the skills she teaches are also extremely effective. A short while after our last session finished Laura released the Prism, her latest book. I was hesitant about it before getting a copy. Could her work be improved on? Was there more to say? Definitely. This book is a gem. Whether you're ready for the next Bootcamp or not, The Prism is a gift of a book too. I may sound like just another fawning fan by now. It's hard to temper your enthusiasm when you discover a guide who can shine light on these kinds of skills. Laura can be a force and she's generous, wise, and encouraging too. In one of the bootcamp session or printed out on paper, her words are still electric truth. I trusted the other good reviews here when I signed up. They are true and here's one more with The Prism! Laura's teachings and her work are as fresh and valuable as ever. read more

It's interesting how Suzanne had exactly my experience. Same in London. Lack of empathy, loads of groupies in attendance who she fed off, shut down questions and was rude to questioners. Yelled at someone for whispering to their buddy. It was 'The Laura Show.' Me, me and a bit more about me.' The sycophantic crowd seemed oblivious to 'When I was on Oprah...' and 'In my book...blah, blah, blah...' and 'My husband this and my husband that...' She loves herself. Obvious grandiose narcissism. She also demeaned and was condescending towards mentally ill people. Really not good. In addition, her workshop was chaotic, badly structured and people didn't know what they were meant to be doing. She has a weak, thin voice but really loves the sound of it. Her brand is all based on marketing and there's nothing behind it to back it up. 'The Prism' is just about chakras. That's all. Nothing new. She has really bad energy. I was hoping to meet a spiritually aware person but she's not it. Her aura was dark. read more

Moments before the healing rave started, my mom called me with news from the doctor. While doing a scan of her liver, they found suspicious nodes in her armpit/breast and what looked like cancer lung. When the doctor was asked how he knew it was cancer. He responded with "how do you know a raccoon isn't a cat, you just do." UPDATE: after a new scan on her breast and under arm, she is completely clear of issues! The scan also showed a decreased in the size of mass in her lung. It shrunk enough to take her measurements from what would be a stage two size to a stage one! AND no other suspicious cancer spots in her body! Thank you for all of your support and helping direct healing towards my mother! In my opinion, these clear scans and reduced sizes in mass are physical proof of the healing work generated in your healing raves! read more

I took Laura's Bootcamp in September 2021 and had such a great experience I took it again in February 2022. In addition to honing my intuition, I met (and keep in touch with) excellent healers, intuitives, and just all-round good people. Unprofessional, un empathetic, has a lot of groupies in attendance and she really focuses on their praise. She was rude and personally insulting rather than communicative. Was annoyed by questions, and made no apologies for the hack and disruption that was of her fault, and no money, apologies, or responsibility was taken for the entire missed end of the paid for course. I left feeling really low, and was never once responded to on my emails. People should not be treated that way. read more

This book is the only one you will need to develop your intuition. It's the best. You can read other ones if you enjoy the topic, but if you have a limited time, this is it. It's not a theoretical book. You find all the explanations you need in there, but even she wrote in the introduction that if pressed for time you can go direct to the exercises. You need to do those if you are serious about developing your intuition. You also develop extra senses, like sensing the future or if some part of your body needs careful attention. She believes these are senses underdeveloped in the majority of people, but they are evolutionary. They are there to be developed when needed. Laura is an intelligent, caring woman. I've listened to so many people talk about 'motivation', 'manifesting' and 'goal achievement' that when I got to Laura Day's The Circle, I was pretty cynical. But what's great about this book is that it is truly practical. It doesn't ask you for blind faith that you'll get your wish, it just takes your through the steps to unravel all your resistance to having faith. It doesn't promise magic, it gives-- again-- practical steps and things to do that seem to generate, well, a bit of magic. And what sets her apart as well is that she is constantly doing free events in NY, LA and all over the world to offer support for people working to heal their lives and manifest their dreams. You don't have to pay for some outrageously expensive workshop to benefit from her hands on (literally) meetings. She does have some pay-for events, but she is truly accessible even if your finances aren't healed yet. In person she is inspiring and nurturing and beautiful and hilarious. I have read all of Laura's book over the years and in 2012-I went and did a three day workshop with her at Esalen in Big Sur. It was wonderful! I did the laying of the hands about a month ago. This is ancestral practice, some may say a primitive one. Being skeptical by nature I expect nothing coming out of it. However, since Laura's work, especially 'The Circle' and 'Welcome to your crises,' has been very inspiring and revealing to me, I decided to go and do it anyways. After few days I totally forgot about it, especially because my life, especially my head, my vision, was turn upside-down. For days I was bother and puzzled about many conflicts that came to light out of anywhere. I submerge myself, once again and with no lack of frustration, on a very uncomfortable process which took a time I did not have to waste. Weeks later I reach a place of clarity and I find myself on a vision that is much more aligned with my goals in my present circumstances. Now I remember that what Laura was doing on me was to 'make space', that is what she whispered into my ears during the laying of the hands. I have read Laura Day's books, watched her YouTube videos, and attended her workshops for several years now and can't find the right words to tell you how powerful and meaningful her work is. I need more stars! In all seriousness though she is truly gifted in her abilities, but it's the down to earth, logical and practical way she shares her talents that have made me a fan. I have learned how to tap into my own intuitive abilities and apply them practically to real life, to stay focused on making goals happen, big and small. The Circle brings in the life of your dreams. Crisis nips issues in the bud so that you keep progressing. Couch directs your energy in a productive way. These books (and the online community and resources) have been amazing for me. Laura's work has empowered me to change my life and look at problems from different perspectives and examine how what is going on internally manifests itself outwardly. I just finished my first Practical Intuition Boot Camp with Laura Day. I have done workshops with her before but this boot camp lives up to the name. It's not a warm and fuzzy everything-is-wonderful workshop but a let's-get-down-and-dirty with our lives and make things right! I absolutely loved it.
