This location is only accepting drop off due to under going renovations. Normally it is opened 24 hours and the location offers around 40 washing machines and 40 driers. The renovation is necessary due to several machines constantly out of order are not drying clothes thoroughly. However, I found the prices very reasonable: $4.99 to wash a big load ( comforter, towels, sheets, etc). The driers charged a quarter for twelve minutes. The location has a small parking lot thus if you drive you most probably find a space. There are nearby restaurants such as Campania, Met Fresh Supermarket and Kitty Kieran's to relax and have a drink if your laundry load is overwhelming. They expect to reopen in around five weeks and are under new management. This location is now Bubbles and Sudd. This is my neighborhood laundromat; reliable and I like the Manager who supervised. He is professional, caring band very personable. I look forward to grand reopening and see if the improvements made were worth it. read more

I was at Bay Ridge location last night. The parking lot sidewalk is not maintained and falulty walking through it. Gravel and rocks and I ended up tripping and taking a hard fall. I let the person who was working there last night know what had just happened and showed him the broken pavement and he said a sign should be put around the area. When I left there was still nothing out there. I emailed the company on their gmail account and so far no response. It's a decent laundromat that does dry cleaning and pickup/dropoff as well. There are lots of machines, but gets really busy on the weekends (likely because it has a parking lot). It seems kinda expensive (though tbh I haven't gone to any other laundromats in the area). Washers are of different sizes and price points. Largest machine is I think 6.50 a load. They do the job pretty well. Dryers can be inconsistent, though. I used the first row of washers one morning, and when it was done and I started emptying, the woman there started yelling, saying I can't use it. I guess it's for the staff to use for drop offs? But there's literally no sign or anything to indicate not to use it. I was pretty annoyed by that. Otherwise, the people who work there are chill. read more

First, I'd like to start with the positive, before complaining. The gentleman that works there is always very kind and helpful. For me, that is always so important and appreciated. My complaint, however, the quality and the cost per load--truly terrible. Machines often broken; but my main complaint: the dryers don't dry anything. If you tell whomever is working, that the dryer has failed, they're great about restarting another dryer for you free of charge. However, that doesn't take back the wasted time waiting for clothes to dry. It has taken 2+ hours for one small, load to dry and has happened to me a few times. This is the worst ever experience I've ever had witha laundromat! Machines are old and out of order and staff don't even bother to put a sign on it. I washed my clothes today and it's was supposed to simple quick wash before i went to work for my night shift. Once the machine was done washing i opened the door to find out the my clother were not rinsed and couldn't put them into a dryer like that, called the lady (who spoke no English, but that's not the problem) who had no knowledge of how these things work at all. She loaded my clothes again but didn't know how to wash start machine at a rinse mode so we went gor another 29 minutes cycle. After this cycle was done this time the machine was completely full with water so that later on she had ro unscrewed the drawer under and pull some handle so that door would open which made the entire floor flooded and threw my twice washed clothes on the floor too. Then she recommended I put my items in another machine for rinse, but guess what she doesn't know how to start it with rinse right? Even some lady that she was FaceTimeing with did not know anything about how these things work (don't work) so we started washing my clothes the 3rd time and at that point I was already about to start crying. After i had to wait for dryer so my quick wash turned into 3 hour general laundry day! The worst part was the nobody apologized or did something for me. The lady even looked upset at me that I was protesting whatever was happening and I didn't not want to spend 3 hours in a laundromat. She had attitude and made a comment as if she is not a mechanic. I'm not expecting you to be a mechanic but if you work at a place you need to know how things work there or at least have someone that knows or put an 'out of order' sign or at least be nice and tell me you're sorry instead or being rude as if i'm just making things up. I hate giving awful reviews but I've just had it. Today I picked up my laundry. $250 worth of bras ruined because they dried my laundry so much they burned them, causing them to tear apart in my hands! Literally every bra that was sent out came back like this. What the EF?! Also, I've called them in the past to complain my black clothes are covered in what looks like tan-colored fibers. They argue with me that somehow this is my fault. Also, inconsistent folding, I end up having to refold all of my towels & shirts because they are never folded the same. Dude, I'm done. This place is straight trash and has been for years. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice to go elsewhere because I live across the street. Always 10 washers and 10 dryers at a MINIMUM, with signs stating they're out of service. However, many of the washers without said signs do not work, as they do not add water during the cycle. Same with the dryers, many of them do not work and only run cool or warm, even when choosing the high option. Most of the washers and dryers that do work are hogged by staff, and they will leave clothes that have already been dried in the dryers and refuse to move them- even when all other dryers are being used. The place is filthy, which I honestly cannot put full blame on the staff for this. People eat and drink on the tables used for folding, leaving a mess behind. Dryer sheets galore, all over the floors. Folks sleeping on the chairs using the folding tables for pillows- yes, you heard right. Some dude that comes in to drink his beers and read his newspaper, while not ever doing laundry. I could go on for days about this place. I actually even left a review in 2019 under my old account, complaining about much of the same. Clearly, nothing has changed. It would be nice if the owner(s) would just sell the business to someone who would actually maintain and improve it. It's a large space with parking, and so much more could be done with it. In case you needed to munch on something. Facts: 1. Small washing machine : 2.79$...Next biggest : 3.99$... Next biggest : 4.99$ and the biggest machine is 5.99$. 2. Drying machine is 50 cents for 12 minutes. I usually need 30-45 min per load. 3. If they do your laundry, it starts at 9$ for 1-10 pounds. They use tide soap but if you want a different soap, you can bring yours in. I've been satisfied every time so far that they have done my laundry. 4. You buy a card 3$ to use the machines. You load the card with money. Load the card with 20$ and you get 2 extra dollars! Return the card anytime and get your 3$ back. read more

Let me just echo what everyone else keeps saying recently about this place. "None of the staff members are wearing their mask". Especially the tall thin guy who works in the afternoon. Horrible, destroyed a very valuable heirloom dress, after promising me in an advance visit, it would receive special care, but dress is now ripped and destroyed. Terrible. Lint and dryer sheets all over the floors. Not enough employees. Only one person cannot clean and do the register. Nothing against the employees. Bathroom is always closed. They have a sink and soap which is a "luxury feature," but no paper towels. There is free coffee. Why do I come here then? I dropped off my clothes at this Facility: It was a full bag of clothes; I was told when I dropped them off that it would be ready by 1/1/24 after 2pm. I arrived on 1/1/24 at around 10 PM to pick up my laundry, the lady working there said it was not ready and that I had to come back the next day. I showed up on 1/3/24 to pick up and I was the told by the same guy that said my clothes would be ready at 2pm that they don't have my clothes, the bag only had half of my clothes, they asked me to leave and return in the evening, when I called to ask at what time my clothes would be ready they said it would be ready tomorrow 1/4/24, naturally i need those clothes for work and gym and I need my towels so I went to go pick it up naturally very upset and left I did not even say a word, the manager then came running after me and screamed he looked like he wanted to assault me. My clothes were given to me in a garbage bag unfolded. I paid nearly 40 dollars to have my clothes folded and washed on time, therefore the services I paid for were not delivered and they should be reported as a business for that. I highly recommend you do not come to this business, the manager or "owner" is aggressive and violent and the services are terrible, they also don't speak very good English so communication was difficult. read more

Bathrooms were "out of order" due to Covid, but were used many times and not cleaned the whole time I was there. Also, a young guy asked an older gentleman to put on his mask because the older man got very close to the guy's mother. Laundry King was never on my radar as a dry cleaner or regular laundry drop-off service, even though I walk by them every day. I thought they were strictly self-service. However, they are open 24/7/365!! I tried them out of desperation one night - the other dry cleaners all close way before I get home. Guess what? Let me start by saying I've been using their drop and fold laundry service for the past 2 years. It's close to my job and on the drive home so this location is convenient. Up until 2 months ago I had no issue and service was always good. BUT my last 4 experiences when I got my laundry returned to me has been terrible. They must have hired new people to fold the laundry, because now they don't even bother to pair your socks together, they just throw them all in a clear plastic bag and leave it up to you to handle that now. After doing that task I had 4 socks that didn't have a matching sock, so what's up with that? The underwear is no longer given back to me properly folded as they used to do, they now put 5 pairs of underwear together and fold them in half so I now have to take the time separate and refold the underwear individually. Before this started happening, I was able to just remove my garments from the laundry bag and place them straight into my drawer because they used to do their job. I wait 2 weeks before I drop my laundry off, so their is a significant amount of clothing to wash and fold (between 30-40 pounds). Why am I wasting 25 minutes out of my day folding my underwear and pairing my socks when I'm PAYING for wash and FOLD laundry service? Now that I'm complaining I'd also like to point out they charge me for a "premium wash", it's an additional $3 per load, I never asked them for this premium wash, they used to ask me if I wanted the premium wash, now they just add it on and charge me for it without any authorization from me. I never complained about this because the service was good, but now I'm paying more for the "Premium Wash" and getting a bag full of unfolded laundry in return. You figure you pay more, so service should be better, unfortunately not at this place. Sorry to say, I'm going to have to find a new place to drop my laundry off. I hope the owner of this facility cares enough to fix these issues, again I was a great customer for 2 years, but something changed and they lost me as a customer. read more

During this covid crisis , I'd like to feel comfortable when I enter a business. Not here!!! Every single time I go there, there are at least 2-3 people with no masks on at all. Not even the facade of wearing one under the chin or in their ear. They know they can get away with it here. I've called 311 in them 2x. Shame on you Laundry King! All of a sudden, my laundry bill went up by $10. Apparently, they have started to charge $5 for pickup and another $5 for delivery. So, that sucks, but what really pisses me off is that they didn't give any sort of notice whatsoever when I called for the pickup. I also looked at their website where there is absolutely no indication that there is a pickup & delivery fee, but they do tell you their low price of $.75/lb. I recently spent 7 hours at Laundry King with a ridiculous amount of post-family illness laundry. I've done laundry there before and had delivery service both of which were good and something I would recommend but not go bonkers with glee raving about. (hence, no review) This time, however, not only did I have a great time doing laundry, I learned from the best (the super sweet girls who worked there and kept me company--I didn't experience rude staff at all, sometimes you get what you give). They schooled me on separating items for the best color retention, how to REALLY get my whites white, using cold water on everything BUT whites to keep the colors bright and to add some Oxyclean to give it a boost (which I had on me but didn't know how to use--I'm not a dolt, they weren't try to sell me anything). They showed me efficient folding techniques and we chatted about everything from childbirth to hurricane Sandy relief efforts. PROS: do-Tons of machines of varying sizes, huge ones for large loads and comforters, pillows, etc. -Helpful staff -Clean machines -There is a (CLEAN!) restroom -PARKING LOT! (another person bemoaned the parking lot--how many laundromats have parking lots?!? perspective y'all!!!) -Tons of HUGE dryers -Lots of stations to fold -Massage chairs (they're heaven) CONS: -The card thingy can be annoying but so is juggling a gazillion quarters but I'm at least used to 25 years of doing that rather than trying to swipe that damn card! -The products they sell are a bit overpriced if you run out of detergent or softener, make sure you bring enough. read more

Great place, very well run especially since its under new ownership (if you google this place you ll actually read about the apparent former owner named Boris, some funny stories on there if you feel like wasting your life browsing the web... o wait this is yelp, thats practically everyone on here) Anyhow the staff is very friendly and I ve never had any problems here after going there on a consistent weekly basis for dry cleaning and wash N fold and the occasional visit to actually wash something myself. The perfect example of a small local business with a scummy and sleazy owner. The list of reasons is endless but I'll just throw a few out there: 1. No air conditioning. There used to be. The owner claims the central AC unit is broken and they can't replace the part, which we all know is a nonsense story. Funny how the AC broke the same time they decided to raise the dryer minimum from 6 minutes for 25 cents to 12 minutes for 50 cents. How is it reasonable to have almost 50 dryers pumping hot air in the middle of summer when it's 90°-100°. I feel really bad for the workers and customers who pay to be subject to these conditions. 2. The second you walk in they have a daily news article plastered on the wall reviewing the place which in the article states they offer 10% off to military members (the laundromat is located outside the army base). When you ask for said discount they said they don't offer it. 3. Huge signs outside the place advertise free wifi. And as you can guess, no free wifi. Not even a big deal because who doesn't have internet on their phone but it's just the point. And they do charge for wifi if you want to pay. 4. I dropped off clothes. I understand most laundromats are not going to be responsible for an article or two of misplaced items but when almost half my laundry is missing and swapped with someone else's it's an issue that needs to be rectified. Any other reasonable businessman would offer some sort of compromise or compensation. The openers response? "We'll buy you new clothes, what was missing". Uh... no thanks, you are not shopping for me. I managed to tell them the exact cost and the owner replied via e-mail he would credit me the amount, which leads me to: 5. After being promised a specific credit for the missing items, I return to the laundromat to pick up clothes I dropped off. Not only could they not find my laundry, I had to be asked to come into the back to find it myself. Which I did, with someone elses name on it. So the lady pulls up my account and there is no credit. I ask her to call the owner who says I will have to wait until he is there because I must have used the credit. Yea I must have used the credit in the 3 weeks I was out of the country when he e-mailed me. Unreal, unprofessional and just ridiculous. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I've always had a laundry room so when I moved to Brooklyn going to the laundromat became a nightmare come true and this place certainly does not make it better. I give it 2 stars for the parking lot, 24 hours, drop-off service, and how spacious it is. The place itself is starting to show its age. It's dirty, falling apart, hot, and the staff can be rude at times. I asked for the wi-fi password and she stared blankly at me and said she didn't know. The machines work okay and the dryers get very hot even on low (crisped the lace on all my panties and ruined some clothes) so I have to air dry anything that might be affected by heat. Everything is great here but the parking situation. Their tiny 5 car lot is always a clusterf@&k to get in and out of. It would have been 5 stars with a better parking situation. Other than that, the machines are always working. They are always repaired quickly when they aren't. And there are plenty of machines so you are never waiting. What's great: - It's clean! - Tons of washing machines in various sizes; plenty of carts and folding tables. - They usually have a pot of coffee going and I always partake. :) - Decent air conditioning, overhead fans and wifi - Bathroom is clean - My husbands shirts look great after launder & press service What kind of sucks: -The machines use re-loadable smart cards, but you have to fill them with cash. If I have to deal with keeping track of a special card, I should at least have the benefit of not having to make a special trip to get cash as well. I'd love to be able to refill with credit/debit. (However if you put in a $20 bill it gives you and extra $2, so that's nice.) - The dryers suck. It's a quarter for 6 minutes and I have to put a load in for at least 45 minutes, on high, even when splitting up into multiple machines. Used to use this place religiously. But the last few months it has gone down hill. The theme seems to be 'out of order' every large washer is out of order, the ATM is out of order, the games and vending machines are out of order. It seems they do nothing for up keep on their machines. Also during the day when the girls who work there and do the drop off laundry, you have to jockey for a washer, yet they have a bank of them behind the counter that they don't use, probably out of order. I loathe this place for multiple reasons, let me count the ways. 1. Do not be fooled by their sign that states they have air conditioning, they may have air conditioning, however, they do not put it on, ever. 2. They have not one, but two ATMs that are out of service, permanently. 3. There are always at least five dryers that are broken and to top it off, which I must add is quite common among laundromats, people will monopolize the sh*t out of the dryers and legitimately use one for a pair of socks. 4. The laundry carts. There's about ten, five of which have so much hair and lint wrapped around the wheels that they don't even move. Today we actually lost another one to a chick sitting in one to pick her toes...yea, you heard right. I left the best for last, 5. The rotten staff. I shall explain. I'm pretty sure working in a laundromat sucks, especially one that doesn't use the AC they promise that they have (see #1) but wtf man? Every time I do my laundry here, I either get scolded for taking a plastic bag from the folding table or I get the hairy eyeball for putting my bags of laundry in their shi**y a** carts (see #4) and push it towards the front of the laundromat so I can leave it INSIDE the laundromat while I run and get my car. This staff member was eyeballing me so friggin hard I'm surprised my hair didn't get singed. I had to walk over and ask if there was a problem after laser eyeballs staff member began whispering to the other staff member while still shooting laser beams from her eyes. Which of course I get a response telling me I cannot take the cart outside, which of course I had no intentions on doing, if I wanted a leg workout I would walk over to Harbor down the block. Anyway, unfortunately I have no choice to do my laundry here being that I do not have a washer and dryer in my building and I live across the street from this sh*thole. Then again, I may be better off washing my clothes on the rocks by the belt parkway. read more

Place is huge, has parking, and the drop-off is a very good deal when compared to the cost of doing your own. I had a small issue once where some things were mixed up but they brought it to my attention as opposed to pretending all was well. We sorted everything right away and then the manager let me know that it was on the house! perfectly handled and so I'm happy to write a good review. read more
