Regardless of what is offered- and the little bit that's around, this location is depressing. Quite honestly, this is more about appearances than anything for me. The layout, the empty spots- where even if you've never been here, you'd imagine racks full of clothes PC (Pre-COVID) or before this company started closing some stores- just brought my mood down. I get it, this Macy's is all this neighborhood has and I get it. But we managed to purchase our goods at a good price and headed right on out.

The place was spotless and the bathrooms and back hallways immaculate! Yes it was a little bumming some of the closed store fronts but in general they still have some cool stores, Macy's is still there as well as Dicks. The people were all cheery and friendly, got some great discounts on shoes!!! Food court was ok. Coffee place on first floor is always a treat!! It was an overall pleasant experience and one I had missed for a long time!!! We need to start getting out again and socializing in public and doing interaction with other "Live" humans. I found some of the aisles, at least at this location, cramped and tight in some areas, which made it a bit too tough to move around, even though it wasn't busy. Some of the selections I found stood out, and even with a good variety. I found myself spending quite a bit of time looking, which normally doesn't occur as much for me. One associate was going on and on the customer about how and where she could use her new credit card and the other disappeared into the back. Neither could smile, say hello and perhaps apologize for the wait and that they'd be with me shortly. That's all; I wasn't expecting much but they set a new LOW bar. I finally had to leave to teach a class and just dropped my merchandise on the counter and left. No reaction. Loft: people have choices. Brick and mortar retail is suffering. Customers don't need to.
