    Bollywood Bowl

First time I came service was great, super cute chill place also very chilly inside, they keep it like an icebox, so that could be the reason why my food was cold, I initially must've got something different my first time coming because my food didn't taste good at all and that puddle of green was straight water, it looks green only because I added hot sauce. while my moms was more saucy not watery looking meanwhile when we had questions about the dish asked like the amount of sugars in the cookie or what non gmo corn meant, the guy taking our order didn't have much information to offer about the food but did offer to look up gmo for us which was accessible to us and also not the question. My mother did however enjoy the veggie chili with no complaints. Was so tasty the first time, not sure if it was the cook or the bowl I got but for $40 I would prefer my food not watery.

    $14 grilled chicken burrito (deluxe)

I got a grilled chicken burrito deluxe and it was so small for $14! Tastes great but was expecting a bigger burrito for the price.

    One of their dinosaurs abound.

We had Bollywood bowls and loved it. It's a combo of veggies with some chicken added. Check out their cookies on the counter. Huge and fresh. Tasty too! The inside of the restaurant is roomy and new looking. Like the other Planet restaurants, there are fun things to see on the wall, dinosaurs for the kids to play with and good food. I had an order to go tonight and it took awhile. The nice manager offered me a refund for the long time. I declined. They need to be profitable too and the food is excellent. He added extras to my bag. Nice customer service. I used to go here and COVID closed them but I'm back and worth you trying it. Thanks

    Bathroom

Service was good but food was cold and tasted a bit "off". The main reason for the one star rating is for cleanliness. It's filthy, including all tables, floors and worst of all the bathroom. It had not been cleaned for what looks like weeks.Ew. Will not be back.

We arrived at laughing planet on MCgillivaray BLVD today at 10:30 Am Date: 03/29/2025 when they opened . As we arrived the first thing we noticed was the tables and floors . Not one table was wiped down and had stains from the previous day (or Days ) all over the seats, tables and walls . When we looked under our table, there was loads of crumbs and leftover food . We went to the bathroom before we ate to find another disaster of uncleanliness . It is extremely obvious that the bathrooms had not been cleaned for weeks !! This is not something that happens overnight as a "one time miss of cleaning " this build up looks like no one has cleaned in literal weeks. It was absolutely disgusting . Not to mention the garbages were overflowing with towels from the previous day . In addition The food was cold when they brought it out to us so we didn't feel comfortable eating it . This experience has led me and my family to never come back again. Whoever is in charge of cleaning at any point of the day is not doing their job . I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like if this is what we are seeing in the Restraunt . I hope this place gets reviewed by food inspection and that changes are made for customers safety .

Our party was a bit conservative so...we ordered conservativey croissant sandwiches, OH MY GOODNESS, BLTs all around. Stuffed with bacon, lettuce, avocado, cheese and egg, whattt? The entire staff are welcoming, smiling, happy and welcoming. What more could you ask for? Take me back!

This time, we arrived around 9A and were seated approximately 30 minutes later in the very well-heated patio area. Our server was welcoming and returned quickly for our drink order. I chose an oat-milk chai and was not disappointed. For a restaurant presented as a French bistro, I was surprised that there wasn't a single quiche on the menu. I almost ordered the BLT, but I wanted to try something different, so I chose the west coast salmon benedict with provençal potatoes and butternut squash. The hollandaise was tasty, but the benedict itself was mixed for me. It was served on a sliced croissant, which sounded appealing but wasn't sturdy enough for the toppings and quickly became soggy. Thankfully, I had removed the top half and eaten it separately. I was also expecting the thin slices of smoked salmon you might find on a bagel, but instead received a salmon fillet whose smoked flavor was barely noticeable -- perhaps the Hollandaise overwhelmed it. The butternut squash was delicious and outshined the potatoes by several miles. I wish I had asked for an entire side of squash bc some of the potatoes tasted stale, much like McDonald's fries that have been sitting around for a few hours. My daughter ordered the risotto cakes and eggs, which also made me question the "French bistro" identity, since risotto is Italian. SIL had the corned beef hash. Hubby ordered the chef's omelet with a side of bacon. And the grandbabies had pancakes, bacon, and eggs. My family makes it very obvious when food is delicious: lots of nodding, happy sighs, "You need to try this," or completely cleaned plates. Breakfast did not produce any of that. As our server was preparing to close out the tab, we asked for the dessert menu so we can sing happy birthday to one of our grandbabies. We ordered the Versailles cake and a pavlova. The Versailles was the definite winner. Suddenly, there were the yum sounds and the "You need to try this" comments. We all agreed that its light texture and coffee chocolate flavor were wonderfully similar to our beloved cappuccino mousse cake from Schubert's Bakery SF. It wasn't overly sweet, and the velvety dark-chocolate ganache was delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I went home and immediately searched for a Versailles cake recipe, only to discover that "Versailles" apparently isn't an established French dessert, but La Provence's name for its chocolate sponge layered with vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate mousses. The pavlova was enjoyable, but it inspired nowhere near the enthusiasm of the Versailles. Between the polenta, risotto, pesto, burrata, mascarpone, tiramisu, avocado toast, corned beef hash, Benedicts, and conspicuous absence of quiche, I left wondering how much of the actual menu is French. There are certainly French ingredients, sauces, pastries, and techniques, but the overall experience felt more like a Pacific Northwest brunch café with French and Italian influences than a true French bistro. Would I return when visiting our daughter and her family? Not on my own accord. If the family chose it, I would definitely go, but I would adjust my expectations and not think of it as a French bistro, order an oat chai, request extra butternut squash, and save plenty of room for the Versailles.

We got a grilled cheese and a small cup of tomato soup, and everything together ended up being $28, which is ridiculous for such a simple meal. I also asked if they could put less cheese on the grilled cheese because the amount of cheese was excessive. The employee told me that wasn't possible and that they only put one slice of cheese on it. However, the cheese was literally seeping out of the sides, and it definitely did not look like just one slice. Afterward, we checked the Panera app and saw that "light cheese" is actually an available customization, so it clearly was an option. That made the interaction even more frustrating because I was told it wasn't possible when the app shows that it is. On top of the prices and the lack of accommodation, the employee was very rude and made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. $28 for a grilled cheese and a small soup is already expensive, and having poor customer service on top of that made it even worse. We will not be visiting again.

I love Mediterranean food in general and was looking forward to seeing what this restaurant had offer. On entry the first thing that I noticed is that the room, Reedley, really wanted to be a nightclub! The whole vibe with the floor and the way the lighting looks... And then I looked over and saw a giant DJ production rack behind the bar and additional club lights... Yeah. It's a restaurant by day, and I'm sure that people dance there. Added to the vibe! I just wanna take a moment to acknowledge that the menu is amazingly comprehensive. This is not some random gyro place. There are things here that I frankly never seen anywhere in the Portland Metro area. Can't wait to go back many times and sample all of it. My companion got the gyro platter and I got the lamb lula kabab. They were both accompanied by a couple of sauces/chutney's. that were delicious addition. We closed out the meal sharing a slice of their cake, which was incredibly delicious as well. The meal was excellent, but the prospects of all the things that I didn't eat, haunt me. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
