We found Chef Deanna through Instagram and were intrigued. I sent her a quick note, and next thing…read moreyou know, we're on a phone call for over an hour that felt like 10 minutes. We asked Deanna to cater our 115 person, mountain top wedding with as much fire-prepared food as possible. Think Francis Mallmann (google him if you arent familiar). No running water. No electricity. She was game. She was more than game. She came ready to rumble and was cooking on the fire pit from morning until late night. Deanna is warm, talented, energetic, charming, and generous. She made amazing, locally sourced, fresh food our guests are still raving about. She has real relationships with farmers and producers in the area - her local connections are priceless. Her whole team never broke their professionalism and wowed us with their service and hospitality. She helped our moms serve apple pies instead of wedding cake. She sprinkled flowers all over the buffet tables. She shared with us all her beautiful old plates. She surprised us with a late night round of sloppy joes. She let us borrow all the props and baskets and water jugs for our whole wedding weekend, even for events that she wasn't specifically there for. I could go on and on. Book with Deanna, she is a true unicorn of the catering world.

We hired Chef Deanna in 2019 for our farm wedding in 2020. We postponed two times, and Chef Deanna was incredibly accommodating throughout it all. In fact -- she supported our decision to postpone (even the second time!) when so many people questioned why we were doing it. Postponing twice was absolutely the right decision, and we had our dream wedding on 4/9/22 of this year. Chef Deanna worked with us to create a menu that was rustic and aligned with our tastes/personalities. We did a barbecue buffet for the main course -- with macaroni and cheese, multiple types of meat, cornbread, etc. -- and a more classic cocktail hour with charcuterie/cheese etc. Everything was delicious. My only regret is that I didn't go up for seconds! In ADDITION to that, Chef Deanna provided her gorgeous vintage plates that were a perfect fit with our venue. This really helped make our planning easier, and added to the beauty of the tables on the day. Everything went seamlessly -- We could not have been happier with Chef Deanna's catering!

I went here for a wedding and reception and had a pretty good time. The place looks great, the…read moredance floor could have maybe been a little bigger but for the most part it wasn't really an issue. The wedding ceremony was held out back and the space was pretty small, half of the guests had to stand in the back, but the ceremony was short so no one seemed to mind. There was an open bar with mixed drinks and bottled beer. They didn't have any pale ales or anything too nice, but I was happy with Yuengling. The bartenders were quick, and the rest of the staff was pretty good too, no real complaints. They did forget to set one of the spots at our table but when it was brought to their attention they immediately got another chair and set up a plate and silverware. The food was just alright. For the horderves weren't really anything I liked, they had some shrimp and some mushrooms. They also had a cheese display and I definitely got down on that, and I liked the horseradish dip they had too. For the main meal I had the chicken caprese. The chicken was cooked good, not overdone at all and plenty moist, but the breading on it was kinda soggy and got lost in the mix a bit. The salad they brought out was good too, I dunno if the itallian dressing was made in house or not but I liked it. I didn't eat the green beans but the twice baked potato wasn't anything too special, seemed like it needed something extra. Speaking of something extra, the tables didn't have any salt or pepper shakers, which definitely would have made things a little better. The cake they had was really good, best I've had in a while, but I saw that it was brought in in a wegmans box, so it wasn't made in house. Overall I'd rate this place a 3.5 out of 5. It was nice inside and I had a fun time but the food could have been a little better. The food was still better than the food I had at a wedding at the double tree a few years back, and the bartender there was lame. For a downtown catering venue this place is a lot better than the Double Tree.
