Not just slightly dry like dirt in the desert dry and tasteless. Their fufu used to be amazing and now it's like baby food puree. So is the sweet potato mash. I could have had more solid food in a bottle of Gerber baby food. I watched them making to go orders and the woman's thumb was in more plastic containers without a glove on than I care to admit. I've been getting food delivery from Latinlite on & off for a few years now. The food has been consistently good. Everything is made with chicken Or turkey. No red meat. Think chicken vaca frita, chicken ropa vieja, turkey picadillo. They occasionally have some fish dish, but I don't do fish. I've never been to their location, so I cannot comment on that. Your meal comes with an entree that you choose from 2 each day. And three sides from about 12. The sides are all the same for the week though. It can get a bit monotonous, especially for picky eaters like me. From the 12 sides, typically three are soups, three are rice, and two are dessert. The other four or so, can be steamed plantains, sweet potatoes, coleslaw, etc. The portions are great for normal people. I usually am good with about half. Then I'll have leftovers for another day, or my husband will finish it off. They provide basic nutrition information for the entrees and caloric info on the sides. The deliveries are always prompt and arrive before 11AM each day. Menus for the following week go up on Wednesday. Right now, they don't fit into my meal plan but I will definitely order again in the future. read more

I love this place. Ive been here plenty of times over the past few years. It is hidden in the shopping center they are located but dont be fooled. It is healthy, but tasty delicious comfort cuban food!! It is either chicken or turkey here, but they have chicken vaca frita, chicken ropa vieja, turkey picadillo, brown rice congri and turkey breast etc! They have the best Puree de Malanga, it is so soft and pureed to perfection and tastes amazing. Also, fufu or mangu how I call it, is amazing! I think they do cantinas as well. Latinlite by Fat Busters has been around for over a decade. They are a nice, quick stop to grab relatively healthy latin fare. Their offerings stay pretty much on a repetitive rotation, but overall, the taste is good, portions are fair and the price won't break the bank. Their desserts are also a highlight, as they make some pretty tasty treats using low fat options. You can order cantina by the week, (stop in to get a menu) or you can just walk in and purchase food to go, or eat there (it's a pretty small space). The food is great & the fact that's it's not crazy greasy like most Hispanic places is a huge bonus. The ONLY thing I can complain about is the hours after COVID. They are only open 11am-3pm so there's only a 4 hour window to get food. They used to be open until 6pm so I would be able to go after work since I get out at 4pm. They were also open for a few hours on Saturday whereas now they're closed. Aside from that, nothing but good things to say. The price is descent and they serve you a lot of food. They have turkey Piccadilly, turkey meatballs, chicken cooked in sauce with veggies, chicken breast, cilantro chicken and so much more!! The fact that she let us tried everything before we ate is worth the 4 stars. We finally decided on the chicken vaca frita with brown rice and cream of broccoli , my girlfriend had the turkey meatballs with fufu and cream of broccoli as well and we got a third one with sliced turkey and smashed sweet potato. I know, a lot of food. But everything was delicious. The chicken vaca frita was great the fufu was sooo soft and smashed sweet potatoes so creamy and sweet. The cream of broccoli was delicious. They take into consideration fats and excess oils. With that said there is a wide variety of meals you can try here, but my favorite is the "vaca frita." It's not meat, but instead chicken with a garlic based flavor. Very good and clean meal. They also have mashed plantains, lentil soup, and other sides. All together you get two sides, well worth the cost of the meal. The servings are also very good sized and can fill up most hungry guys/gals. Lastly their deserts are small servings and really tasty. Wow! This place is absolutely delicious and affordable. I have been eating their "cantina" for 2 weeks now, and we love it. It helps keep me in shape along with a good workout. Portions are very satisfying and delicious. They have a different menu every week, so you don't get bored with the same thing week after week. We stumbled upon this place accidentally and fell in love. The ambience was great, live guitar music, super friendly staff, given we were with a toddler and a baby! Ok, lets keep it real. After a strenuous workout, I needed some food. I wanted something good and healthy. I came across Latinlite and decided to check it out. Let me tell you it blew my mind!! Its the perfect place to go to if you like Hispanic food and struggle with finding a place where the plate looks like they soaked everything they made in cholesterol, fat and more fat. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had the chicken with onions, Brown rice with lentils and sweet mashed potatoes. It was probably the healthiest authentic hispanic food I have ever had. No one drop of fat was left on my plate. I was very very very pleased. Also, for dessert I ordered chocolate ricotta, which happens to pack 7 grams of protein, and it was heaven!!! The prices were very fair and the service was excellent! They even let you try it before you get it! you know a restaurant is confident about what they make if they are willing to let you try it first. The location is in this tiny shopping plaza in the middle of nowhere, and I hope they open 100 stores more like this one! I would personally frequent it a lot more often!
