They made my first trip to Burgess Falls amazing. I love their pink theme and the story behind their mascot. The meeting area is easy to find by GPS and there's signs as you get close. Small parking area. After going over the rules, we get on their bus to get to the destination. Kayak training is provided and then you're off. They encouraged us to enjoy the experience and take our time. We never felt rushed. Free to explore at your own leisure. The kayaking part was easy and not taxing. Wildlife present to see. Once you get close to the falls you have to walk about 10 minutes to the falls. Very rocky area. Make sure you have good shoes. I wore water shoes and I'd recommendjust wearing sneakers or those good for trails that you don't mind getting wet because I felt everything in those water shoes. Lol. They had their own challenge of keeping the area clean by collecting trash rhat you can participate in if you wished. At the falls - you got to kayak around or stand in the water and/or under the falls and Tara will take pics of you that she'll later send for free. Amazing shots. Breathtaking falls. It was a blast and refreshing! Once you return back to the starting point they have their own portable potties that you can use and a shed to change your clothes in. Plus, personal care items are available for use. There is a small gift shop too. Everything about the experience was professional from start to finish! I highly recommend you take this tour!

Eddie even helped people from other groups pointing out cool features of the waterfall and allowing people to safety concerns. KAT doesn't rush you to get through your trip like some of the other tours. They make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy at the waterfall. We were able to sit and eat our lunch and also play in the water for over an hour. This is the second time I've been out with them and I'd recommend them again and again.

They were thorough when they went though the training and safety procedures. They made sure we knew exactly what we were doing before we got into the water. The main guide, Mark (I hope I got his name right), was excellent with teaching us and telling stories. Our guides were Jared and Jon T. Jared was finishing his last day of training. We felt secure the entire trip. I'd like to think that years of canoeing and kayaking also played a part. Jared and Jon T were great at telling us all about the upcoming 3 and 4 rapids and leading us through them. Happy to say not one of us fell out of the raft any time through the trip. Then we went zip lining. This was a fun way to to wind down after rafting. Tyler and Lilly were amazing! I'm not good with heights and I only feels concerned down the first line. After that, I felt completely secure and was hooting and hollering by the end of end of the run. Plus, they were a lot of fun to talk to and made our zip lining excursion so much fun. I highly recommend going zip lining, too! My husband and kids had never gone whitewater rafting and I hadn't been in years. Today was an incredible experience, something we will certainly remember for years to come. Our guide, Spencer, was incredibly skilled as he could have navigated blindfolded... yes, he's that good! Spencer was also an absolute blast to surf the river with... very friendly, knowledgable and well-traveled... he had plenty of amusing stories to share and kept us all very engaged. I should also mention that Spencer was also seriously great at gaging our comfort level vs. our spirit of adventure... therefore, he was able to navigate us down various paths of the river making it challenging and thrilling for us! While there are plenty of white water outfitters to pick from, we intentionally picked a smaller outfitter and we were so glad we did... we felt our experience was more personal, less generic, and seriously less crowded! I only wished I had sat in the front of the boat where the photographer was situated... that would have made a fantastic birthday photo. The only other "disappointment" was that Cascade Outdoors advertised about their HOT SHOWERS which was super important to us and was one of the main reasons we chose Cascade Outdoors... but there was NO hot water available and the lack of being able to take a good shower after the rafting trip did impede on our other plans. Other than that, Cascade Outdoors and our guide, Spencer, offered us a fabulously fun white water experience on the Ocoee River! We can't wait to return!!! :)

This made the tip we left through Fare Harbor feeling like a misleading sale. The real problem came with the lack of equipment in operational condition. We rented 2 kayaks and could not find 2 with properly working seats. The majority of life jackets were mildewed and there was no one present to speak with. We came back after about 10 minutes on the river. I would recommend finding another outfitter.

SlimJim (Jake) but his Georgia given name is now 'woodpecker'. I'm horrible with names so that's what he was named for the day. He is an expert at what he does. We had 5 adults and a set of 13 year old triplets (that were basically level expert, already). We worked as a team. We laughed. There was no child, woman or man left behind. Just my dignity. I got pulled in the "swimming portion" by my girlfriend and just knew peanut butter ball (woodpecker) wasn't gonna be able to get me back in that raft and boy was I wrong. That man picked me up so effortlessly and efficiently that I accidentally turned into the human scorpion (Rob Dyrdek's show 'ridiculousness' for reference). We were all laughing so hard because I was left stuck upside down which was even funnier. Helmet stuck. Life jacket conformed into a turtle shell and I was just stuck and laughing along with everyone else. Now--- No. Im not a big back woman partaking in bigbacktivities that I shouldn't be. . Just a little thickum, if you will. The entire day truly made this vacation one for the books. Jake lead with precise guidance, was very professional and an all around genuinely great human being that ensures your safety as well as makes you laugh like he's known you for ages. We spent well over an hour on the river, including time when we could actually get out of the raft and float down the river. Yak was our guide, and he was very obviously quite experienced. He knew exactly what to do to give us the most fun possible while keeping us safe. When everyone fell out of another raft ahead of us, Yak kept his cool and directed us over to them so we could help rescue them (everyone was fine). This guy was super chill and very knowledgeable about the area. You should definitely ask for him; he knows what he's doing.

They texted us in the morning to confirm our reservation then promptly met us at the Jefferson Springs boat ramp. We were quickly outfitted an off to explore. We found lots of wildlife and pristine river banks that we were free to explore as all the land on both sides of the river is public. We spent about 3.5 hours on the water and had quick lunch break in the middle at the great park where the ramp is located that is set up with picnic tables, public restrooms and grills! The Stones River company kept in touch with us and were ready at the end of our rental to promptly collect the kayaks. We would highly recommend this company for your kayak rental needs!
