Aponi Aesthetics - The shape that I was given

My face changed so much in such a short time for the better. I was spending so much money at another place and seeing no change and then I met Carine! Omg! My life is forever changed! She is amazing!

I feel obliged to leave this review. As someone who has no experience with microblading, or…read morepermanent makeup in general, I sought out a reputable practice, with good reviews. I assumed that because Aponi Aesthetics is directed by a doctor, that there would be high standards for the procedures offered. During my consultation, I explained that I wanted natural results, defining my eyebrow arch, and lifting and extending my eyebrow tails. I was told to wear my eyebrow makeup as I normally do on the day of the appointment to serve as a point of reference. I did not wear any makeup on the first 1/3 of my eyebrow. My eyebrow shape was not mapped out and approved by me prior to the procedure beginning. The technician took a picture of my face with the makeup on as a point of reference, numbed and cleaned my brows and then started tattooing. When I felt her tattoo the first 1/3 of my eyebrows I tried not to be nervous, because I assumed that she was a professional with an artistic eye, and that some subtle shading would tie the eyebrow together. At no point during the tattooing did I see the work that was being done. After it was complete, she gave me a mirror and immediately I could see that one eyebrow was lower, longer and skinnier, while the other was shorter, higher and wider. I was told that it could be improved in our next session. Again, as someone inexperienced at first I tried to stay calm, but the more I looked at the results, the more I understood that I could not trust a good result from Aponi. The purpose of a follow up is not to repair a poor initial result, it is to increase the shading. When I called the office, the manager was surprised that I was not happy with the result, and offered to refund me. She later tried to backtrack and say that I signed something that said they don't offer refunds. I have not seen a charge from Aponi on my credit card statement as of now, so hopefully she was true to her word. She also offered to reimburse me for the cost of the removal, but I have not heard anything about that since speaking to her on the phone. I went to Divine Brows and Beauty and saw Lynette the next day for an emergency saline removal. She was shocked to hear that I did not approve the shape before tattooing started, and that she could not understand why on earth the "artist" made the choices that she did in terms of brow shape. I would warn against having this service done at Aponi Aesthetics. They should not offer microblading if it is administered by a technician who can create such a terrible result.

He proceeded to put filler in it, which only made the scarring worse. After four tries, I finally gave up and went elsewhere. I am now paying to have the scars treated, which is a slow painful and expensive process that so far has not worked. When I last left a review, the office responded that they would contact me. That was over six months ago and I have yet to hear a word. I am hoping that this review will prevent at least one person from having a bad experience with this doctor. He is very charming at consultation and not so much when you ask him to correct his mistakes.

From my very first meeting with Lisa, to getting to know the nurses and staff, my entire journey was truly amazing. I hadn't realized how many dynamics go into having a facelift, but the team took the time to educate me beforehand and stayed by my side every step of the way afterward. Everything--from billing to scheduling to communication--was handled seamlessly. Of course, the star of the show was Dr. Fechner. While he is undoubtedly a skilled surgeon, I also believe he is an artist. I am beyond pleased with my results and would highly recommend him for anyone considering plastic surgery. I can still remember, a year ago, wishing it were already a year later--and now here I am, grateful, healed, and so happy with my decision.

He listens to your skin and beauty concerns, then looks at each one himself, offering his own opinions and advice. His frank honesty is refreshing. IE I see acne hyperpigmentation on my chin. He responded, I don't see any discoloration on your chin, so noone else is noticing it either. Then, he added, what about the lines on your forehead? I said they didn't bother me, and he told me to leave them alone. Dr. Bentkover has many loyal patients, so he never needs to sell anyone on any procedures. Unlike spas that assault you with high pressure sales tactics every visit. Dr. Bentkover is a REAL DOCTOR, with a lifetime of experience working on skin and facial reconstruction, who DOES HIS INJECTIONS HIMSELF. Unlike spas that *claim* they work under a doctor, but have inexperienced technicians do the injections on unknowing patients. Go to a real doctor, like Dr. Bentkover. DON'T TAKE CHANCES WITH YOUR FACE. PRICES: No prices are listed on his website, except for facials. I've gone to him for several years, and his prices changed, for some facial fillers, without notice. Always ask. Don't assume. I also had ONE LASER treatment on my chest & under my nose, to remove RED SUN SPOTS (cherry angiomas) & capillaries. The PRICE of $850, which was not mentioned before hand, and it worked on the red spots, but not on the broken capillaries. I live in downtown Boston, and NO spa charges remotely close to that price for the same laser used for hair removal. I did NOT ask the price, as I'd gotten a large discount on a gift certificate at a charity auction. So, it was my fault. THE DEAL: His website lists new specials all the time. So, check it out!

He and his staff were incredible! It is rare to find a doctor who takes as much time with his patients as Dr. Bentkover does. He is a true professional but still cares about each of his patients on a personal level. He sees each person that walks through his door as a more than just a potential client. He takes the time to get to know you, your desired outcome and expectations. He is honest about the expected outcome of the procedure and what can and can not be completed, which is extremely important when considering a surgeon to preform any major procedure. His post procedure care is also excellent. He and his staff again, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well cared for. I had complications which were unrelated to the procedure its self and he and his staff followed up with me on a regular basis. More than I could have ever expected from a doctor or his staff. He followed up with me for several months and provided exceptional care through out the time. I would highly recommend him. And even though I am no longer in the area if I ever need any additional procedures he will be the first person I seek out.

Thursday I check the app or online for a status...only to find out that it was CANCELED! I call the "local #" only to get connected to someone who is working remotely from somewhere & I ask questions. He says he can put it right in & have it ready for Saturday pickup (by the way, that would be 1wk since I requested it). I asked why it was canceled in the 1st place? He checks & tells me it was an insurance issue. I asked why I wasn't notified instead of someone just cancelling my script? He couldn't answer (of course, like always, it's the nobody who does all this stuff with your scripts!)...then 5. I get transferred to the REAL local store # & speak to a woman with an attitude. I tell her the whole thing over again. Of course, she doesn't know who canceled & why I wasn't notified. I gave her the insurance info (which I had already inputted into their system when I received the new card MONTHS ago). I asked for estimate for my pickup. She says it's up to insurance & it could be that night. 6. Friday I picked it up. 6 days after I requested it. What if this was a vital medicine that regulates blood pressure, heart rate, heart rhythm, clotting, diuretic, blood sugar, hormones, mood, organ rejection, asthma, infection, pain & etc?! Mine is for PAIN, a muscle relaxer! And no, for anyone thinking, I didn't wait till my script ran out, I had a few days left. This pharmacy is NOTORIOUS for playing games with people's prescriptions & this is not the first time they have done it with me. I've had them do this with other medications in the above categories listed. The longest time I was given the run around (nothing to do with insurance, but their ORDERING & STOCKING), was 3WKS! And because it was a schedule II, they REFUSED to transfer the script ELECTRONICALLY to another one of THEIR locations who had it in stock!!! THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! I hope more small pharmacies can return since these large ones DGAF about their customers!
