I asked at the counter if they serve Asian coffees. For some reason the server showed me bags of tea. I repeated that I was interested in coffee and pointed out the poster. She said "Oh that's from his travels." and then "How do they do it?" Before I had a chance to answer, she said in a snide tone "So you don't even know?" Like **I'm** the moron in the conversation. Excuse me, bich? Not only did I not get to speak, "Asian coffee" covers a large range of methods and styles, even different equipment. There is no 2-second answer to "how to make Asian coffee". I said "I do know, but I'm not getting into all that now." She made a face. But even if I didn't know, so what? I'm the *customer*, asking about drinks pictured on the *walls of the restaurant*. It's not my job to know, it's hers. Maybe she was lashing out because she felt stupid being caught not knowing about the posters in her own restaurant that she walks by every day. In any case, she handled it VERY badly. The correct response was "Sorry, no, we don't serve Asian coffee." As for the food, it's just OK. Below the skill level of an average home cook. Its main advantage is being lighter than the other options in town, which lean heavily towards fried food. One bite of the hummus was enough for me - it was ice-cold and sour. The bread was good, but I'm 100% certain they do not make it. The whole vibe is very amateur-hour, right down to the poorly hand-painted sign.

As it was the beginning of October, there was very little people so ample parking available. To the side of the building, the cobble steps takes you to a really cute patio with umbrellas and picnic tables - very instagrammable. The three course meal - Roasted corn soup 5/5 The corn was sweet, broth was flavorful Brisket with beans and sauce 3/5 Brisket was tender. The sauce was a little on the saltier side, but very pretty plating Peaches and cream 3/5 The cream was delicious The almond praline garnish was delicious The poached peach was sour. Taking out the peach would have made this dessert 5/5 Overall, amazing customer service! Rob was attentive and super fun!

From the first step in, everything felt special. The vibe is relaxed and charming, but it's the people and food that really stay with you. Our server Olivia was absolutely wonderful--so warm, kind, and attentive in the most genuine way. She made us feel right at home. The salmon with herb rice was one of the best meals I've had in a long time--perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and our glass of white wine tied it all together beautifully. You can tell the chefs here care deeply about what they're creating. There's love in the details, and it shows. It honestly surprises me that more people don't know about this place. But I'll be recommending Heydays to everyone I know. It's a true hidden gem in Sauble Beach, and we can't wait to come back.
