A friend of ours died and Lasting Imnpressions was recomended to us by the funeral home. The vase of flowers we ordered for $200 was a joke. It had very few colorful flowers and a lot of green filler stuff. The bow we requested was just a ribbon around the vase and looked like it was tied as a knot. They had to send someone back to the funeral home to put another ribbon on the vase with a bow, but the vase still had to few flowers and too much filler material. It was not a flower arangement but more of a green filler arangement. I will not be using this business ever again. It was a wasted $200!!!! read more

We needed delivery for a local memorial we will be flying in for over the week end. She was kind, wrote our cards just as I wanted and assured me the location they had worked with before would be able to recieve the flowers in time. I used Lasting Impressions for my mom's funeral several years ago and was very pleased with the flowers so I decided to use this florist for my son's Celebration of Life a week ago. I had no idea what kind of flowers should be in the sprays. I was asked to describe my son and his life. after that conversation they helped with what flowers could be used and the sprays were absolutely beautiful! I could not be more pleased with the arrangement. I was also given two comfort rocks for my son's daughters which touched my heart. There was even a stand alone vase done with the same type of flowers used in the sprays and it was beautiful. I will definitely use them again! read more

Terrible Customer Service Three weeks prior to my daughter's wedding, I went in & placed a special order of flowers for her bouquet & reception. I emphasized the importance of having the flowers available on the date that I needed to pick them up, as this was for a destination wedding. I paid in full at the time of the order. The morning of pick-up, I called to ensure that my special order had arrived & was ready for pick-up later that day. I was assured that my flowers were in & ready for me. When I arrived that afternoon, a staff member walked out, dropped a large bucket of several different flowers on the floor & said I could "pick any of these out of the bucket". I asked where my order was, as these flowers were NOT what I had ordered. I was told that somehow my special order flowers had apparently been used in another arrangement. There were four flowers left that had been part of my order, but that was not enough & the four left were clearly the worst of the bunch, as the best looking flowers from my order had been used. I was furious. I told them that I was leaving at 4:30 am the next morning & I had a bride WITH NO BOUQUET, not to mention, no additional flowers for the reception. I asked if they had any relationships with other florists that they could contact to see if they had something similar. It seemed to me that the LEAST they could do would be to assist in finding a solution to their terrible mistake. But, I was told "no, we don't work with any other florists". They suggested I just buy silk flowers. That infuriated me even more. For the next 3-1/2 hours, I drove all over the area going from place to place before they closed to find SOMETHING that would work, however very little was available at that late point in the day, & of course none would have the exact flowers I had special ordered. By this time, I had received a call from the manager, Terri, giving me a completely different story about my order. She stated that she must have ordered the wrong ones. My receipt CLEARLY describes the flowers I had special ordered. So now I have been told two different stories about my order, & honestly at that point all I cared about was that I had a daughter getting married the next day with NO BOUQUET. The manager offered to do another order & get the flowers in by 8:30 am the next day, however I reminded her that we were leaving at 4:30 am - NOT A SOLUTION. Then she said all she could do was give me a refund, which I accepted, but again - NOT A SOLUTION. In my final moments with Terri on the phone, I expressed how angry I was that I had been put in this situation & how this had created a crisis for me & that this was not how I was supposed to be spending the day before leaving - I had many other things to do in preparation for our trip & the wedding. She said "yes, this hasn't made for a good day for me either". NOT WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR - I DID NOT CARE ABOUT HOW HER DAY WAS GOING. I told her that there was no comparison with the situation she had put me in as being the mother of the bride with NO BRIDAL BOUQUET for her daughter. All in all, I ended up going to a total of 8 other florists, both here in VA, & also going place to place once we arrived in the wedding destination. Again, spending time that was not supposed to be allotted to finding flowers, but rather doing wedding preparations. This business did not care to provide any meaningful support in assisting me with the problem that THEY created. On the special day that every bride dreams of & after all the careful planning ahead of time, this business destroyed all of that. There is NO EXCUSE for how this happened or how it played out once they KNEW they had made a terrible error. I always support small businesses, but I will never recommend this business to anyone, & I will never go back there. Just a side note, all of the local floral businesses that I went to in my attempts to find something asked me where this had happened at because they could clearly see that I was upset & that this was an urgent situation. And I told each and every one of them. read more

Zero customer service. I went to get a dozen roses for Mother's Day and I understand they were busy due to the holiday, however, they were very rude. The employees were pushing past me trying to get to the flowers that were in the buckets on the sales floor. The one employee that did help us seemed impatient and I felt hurried as I picked out flowers. As I was waiting for them to put together my flowers, one employee was yelling at another in front of me. Also, the store was a mess. There were papers and pieces of plants everywhere. Completely Unacceptable!! I ordered a dozen red roses for my wife for Valentine's Day 2018. I paid the premium price based on their normal prices due to the occasion. I called in the early afternoon and the lady told me that their were four drivers and 200 deliveries, she could not give me an estimate. Since I did not receive a call from my wife telling me she received, I called her office they had not been delivered. I waited until 5:30PM called the florist. I was told by the employee on the phone that they were real busy and did not deliver. DID NOT HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO CALL ME.OFFERD TO REFUND OR DELIVER TOMORROW. I called and/or visited just about every florist I knew on a Saturday afternoon for a VIP funeral occurring Monday morning in a neighboring city. No one could help and some didn't even called me back. Lasting Impressions was recommended to me by a trusted source and was my very last chance at pulling off a minor miracle. Not only were they willing and able to help, their work was outstanding according to the recipient, who is also one of the best florists in the region. I ordered a floral arrangement for a friend online and I ordered the "premium" version of the arrangement. The floral arrangement that my friend received looked nothing like the one that I ordered. They use a disclaimer stating that if they cannot exactly match the arrangement as ordered, they will do something of equal value. The arrangement my friend received did not even have as many flowers as the "basic" one shown online, let alone the "premium". I don't believe it was of equal value in any way. I am very disappointed, especially considering I paid over $80 for the flowers and delivery. I will not use Lasting Impressions again. I would happily post pictures of the two arrangements for comparison if that was an option here. Update: Florist is sending out new arrangement. However she felt original arrangement they sent was "good". Considering what I ordered had over two dozen roses visible in the picture of the arrangement and the one they sent had less than a dozen roses and five carnations in it, I'm not sure how they saw that as comparable in any way. We will see how the new arrangement turns out. read more

I placed an order on Thursday, June 1, 2018 for a very close friends casket. If you click on the link it will show you what I had ordered- price isn't the issue here. When I showed up to the viewing on Sunday, June 3rd I noticed it wasn't in her casket with her and didn't see it anywhere. I finally came up on this tiny version of what I had ordered that was less than 10" high & 5" wide. It was small enough to fit in a dollhouse. I had never been so embarrassed in all my life or more upset to know that my beautiful friend wouldn't have the gorgeous spray of flowers with her. I called early Monday, June 4th before her service to express my disappointment and how upset I was. I contacted the florist this afternoon, Wednesday, June 6th due to never receiving a call from Lasting Impressions. I spoke to Ann and she stated they got my message, but what did I want them to do about it.... I told her it's a little too late now because the service was Monday and no one ever bothered to contact me to follow-up. I explained to her how small the spray was that was to go in the corners of her casket, etc.... Ann stated over and over that I received the "Recipe" that you ordered and what did I want her to do about it..... I stated it wasn't the one I ordered or the size- Ann stated that the pictures don't show actual size. ? of the day???? Why does your website show the dimensions on the item that I ordered??? The dimensions stated 19 1/2" High & 18 1/2" Wide. This wasn't even half the size!!!! It saddens me to know that I couldn't share this beautiful spray with my friend in her casket nor would it stay in place when we tried due to the bottom it was placed on when made. Unbelievable!!!! Not impressed in the least and they certainly made a lasting impression, unfortunately it was a negative one! We ordered a corsage and boutonnière for a prom and the flowers were indeed fresh. Problem being - It was not What we ordered - the ribbon colors were wrong, and they only offer one color wrist band. Thankfully we were able to have the ribbon colors amended. The receptionist was a little annoyed by our request - quite surprising, seeing how she was the one who took our order and didn't bother to mention the wrist band only came in one color even after we requested a different color on the order. The florist who came out to try and fix our order was very pleasant. While the prom was a hit, it's unfortunate that their flowers weren't up to par and didn't match the attire. I won't be ordering from this florist again. Overpriced and mediocre at best. I did give them a try but I'll be going with my local favorite from now on. read more

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my mom as a surprise gift to her at home. Unfortunately, when my order was taken, the woman did not ask for a delivery window and they tried to deliver them too early - resulting in the flowers not being delivered on my requested date. They claimed two phone calls were placed regarding delivery; but no phone call was placed to me, the purchaser, to say they were going to be unable to fulfill my flowers order in a timely fashion. When calling to ask the following day what happened, I left the conversation feeling it was my fault they were unable to deliver the flowers and that they didn't actually care if I ever ordered from them again.
