He's genuine, thorough, and truly goes the extra mile to take care of his patients. I had braces for 3.5 years when I was in high school, and my previous orthodontist didn't take near the care that Dr. Wells provides, and his staff are equally as perfect as he is! Their office is conveniently located off Six Forks near 440 and is open Mon-Thurs 8-5 (though Dr. Wells is on-call all the time for emergencies). The office is new, modern, and very clean- they provide Keurig coffee & fruit infused water in the waiting area. They have a 3D panoramic x-ray in office so you don't have to get that done elsewhere. My favorite part about the office is the amazingly beautiful saltwater tank in the middle of the treatment area! I started receiving treatment in October 2014, and the workup was more thorough than I could have ever imagined! Dr. Wells focuses on aligning your jaw to fix your teeth, not just fixing gaps in your teeth. It's made such a difference in my bite, which I didn't even realize I had an issue with. Though I still have braces, I get them off in a few months.. and I must admit I'm really looking forward to the song they all sing when their patients get their braces off :) All in all, I couldn't say enough positive things about Dr. Wells and his staff... when it comes to patient care, they go above and beyond. Truly impressive!

Our initial experience wasn't great, getting the first visit scheduled took forever. That should have been my clue. Every appointment since has been very difficult to schedule. When my child is due to be seen, they have one appointment to offer. If that doesn't work, they will suggest something two weeks later. Well that adds two weeks to the treatment time - nobody wants that! Their appointments are only available between 8:20 and 3:20 (and I don't believe they are open on Fridays), so your child will always miss school for this (and you will miss work). Maybe this is a small sacrifice to make, but I wish I had known before we started here or I would likely have gone elsewhere.

I had the best experience and felt like a guest and not just another patient walking in. After getting scanned I was scheduled to pick up my Retainers at the Rolesville Location. I received a very warm welcome as soon as I walked in, I'm still on cloud 10 with the customer service.. My name was called I head back to the chair to try on my retainer. The young lady that was assigned to me was extremely rude and not understanding at all. Once I tried on the retainer it was fitting like it should, she then ask have you ever worn a 2 mm before in a very condescending way. I responded No. so then she says you may have to go back to the Raleigh office to be rescan if you can't get it on.. It wasn't a conversation at all She was just talking at me, this is my first time meeting this young lady, So she walks over and speaks with The Dr. He said he's seen this happening once before. She maybe an impression would be best. the assistant tells me to go have a set at the chair closer to the wall. As I took my seat she came over never once telling what to do or what to expect, I'm looking at her she looking at me as if she is extremely frustrated, she say open your mouth and slide back some,, as my mouth was opened she places the impression in and I began to Gag, she pushed a little harder and a sharp pain along the gum line had become really intense, My natural reflect I jumped up she pushed harder and said if you can do this then you need to go back to our Raleigh location for another scan. After she removed the material out my eyes was am watering up and I ask her if she could be a little gentle bc I am a human being that has feelings, then as I was talking to her asking her to just explain what it is I should be expecting before she starts working on my mouth she became very upset and walks away, I turned around on the bench were I was sitting and told her that she was extremely nasty... Dr Lassiter walks over and ask how was everything going, I told him exactly what happened then he compared it to a 12 year old that has hard times with it as well, Honestly I didn't need a comparison I just need quality work along with great customer service.. The young lady comes back into the conversation and says she's not going to talk to me like that, How she thought I was speaking I thought then maybe she's having a day bc all I'm doing is letting her know I'm hurting. I just left it alone went to the front desk and the nice young lady explaining to me that it was definitely a day, short staffing that day due to employees out with Covid. I totally understand at that point, I have my own business and Around that time we were short staff as well, But the lack of concern was a turn off. I had white stuff all over me due to a lack of concern with the impression. And my mouth was bleeding. I literally was in pain for 5 day afterwards. I wanted to get a refund, But having a business knowing how things are going I Just told the young girl I'll give it a second chance, I came back a couple weeks later to pick up and they did not call me to the back the front desk receptionist dispensed my retainer to me told me to go to the bathroom to try on , the dr did not check to see if it was a good fit.. I did not say anything I'll take a loss on this one but let me tell you this last thing, the assistant that originally help me so happens to come out to speak with a patient and she looks at me a rolled her eyes. I did not say anything I just know after I get my retainer I will never step foot back into this practice ever again.

My four children all had braces, and my husband had braces as a child. When I was a child, my brother had braces, and I asked my dad, hey dad, can I get braces? He said...when you grow up, if your husband wants you to have straight teeth then you can get braces. In other words, he wasn't interested in paying for them. Back then...it was also assumed I wouldn't have a formal education... But, I digress. This year my decision to seek out information about wearing braces led me to Dr. Goeckner at Goeckner & Gibbons Orthodontics in Wilson, NC. It's a 30 minute drive, but I decided to go up and discuss it with Dr. Goeckner because she was easy to speak with over the phone. The office reminded me very much of New England in the 1970s. Not a lot of flashy stuff, just solid wood, and comfort. Cleanliness, and great manners. My kind of place and the price was budget friendly too! I decided to go with Invisalign's and I was very happy I did! I'm only into my ninth week and I'm already seeing some improvement in my bite, and in my smile!!! I can remove them to eat, and brush my teeth. They are not painful to wear, but if there is any discomfort an Advil does the trick. I highly recommend Goeckner & Gibbons Orthodontics, for these reasons. The staff is so professional, kind and helpful, and the doctors, dental technicians and nurses are first class all the way.
