A thought dawned on me as they kept on with their "whatever" attitude: I'll just leave and look for "for rent" signs, since these signs are exactly as smart and do the same job as the agents...except don't charge fees. In doing my research of apartments in the area, this apartment managed by Bozzuto stood out in terms of the property, the location, and also the quality of the management company. Reviews on Apartments.com and Yelp have been overwhelmingly positive (with only real complaint being rowdy undergraduates who are no longer allowed to lease in these apartments), and I can confirm that my own experience is accurately reflected by these reviews. I've worked with Christian who was friendly yet professional in phone calls and email communications, and he's been very responsive and willing to help. I am disappointed that I will not be able to stay here, but this will be the first place that I will look the next time I need to find an apartment in the Cambridge area.
