Our little Yorkie is great little companion and was relatively well socialised when we adopted her as a young adult. She has, however, progressively begun aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, and manipulative behaviour with us over the last year and we were at wits end to try to effect a change. Another local trainer who doesn't handle aggression referred us to Cheryl at Last Paw who met with us for an evaluation session within a couple of days. Cheryl quickly identified 'in-house' manipulative behaviour that Tessa was doing to control us and showed us how easy it was to begin to modify. We have booked several follow-up sessions to work on the dog-on-dog issues.
Cheryl is an animal psychology professional, and I do not use this term lightly. If you meet her you will quickly learn how little most of us understand about simple bad habits in owner behaviour that enable all the undesirable habits in our dogs. She is very gentle but assertive and had our Tessa eating out of her hand in minutes. My wife asked her to move in with us. We look forward to our next session in a couple of days. read more
