My photography/videography budget was the biggest part of my wedding after food and alcohol, so I was very nervous about hiring a stranger. Last Light Productions had great videos on their website, returned my email immediately and professionally, and patiently and kindly answered all my anxious questions. In retrospect, I did not need to worry. Since most traditional weddings are quite similar, they only asked for a timeline of events and a "must-have" shot list, in case they missed anything, but required essentially no direction from me, even through the wedding. Corey (I hope that's the spelling!), the videographer assigned to my wedding, was fantastic to work with. He was observant and professional, worked well with my photographer, and stayed in the background of the wedding, all while capturing every shot that was important to me. He even captured when my now-husband shed a tear during the first look, which even my amazing photographer missed. The editors did a great job. The highlights reel is now my favorite video. I cannot recommend Last Light Pictures enough. I had almost signed a contract with another videographer who was going to include less than half of what we'd get with LLP for double the price. I found LLP on Craigslist by accident and after looking at their work samples, we actually preferred their style better. I was even more impressed when I reached out via email and spoke with Chris. He was SO thorough, professional and accommodating. He helped us form a package that fit all of our needs and even let me choose the music for our video (music can really make or break videos for me). I had a million questions and all of them were answered quickly and kindly. My only real hesitation upon booking was that they didn't have too many reviews online. Luckily they turned out to be amazing. The videographer showed up on time and traveled to 3 locations with me for no extra charge. He was really friendly and I felt comfortable with him there the whole time (honestly he was like a ninja though and half the time we didn't even see him because he was discreetly getting cool shots). He also worked well with our photographers even though our venue was very tiny and they didn't have too much room. We received our videos WAY earlier than expected which was really great because we were dying to see pictures and videos. We are so happy that we picked them as our videographers and I'm constantly trying to convince my friends to book as well. They are very affordable if you compare to other videographers however if cost is an issue, you can always book them for raw footage only now and pay them or whoever to edit it later on. It's really cool to look back at our wedding video because the day went by SO quickly. Photos and videos are one of the few things you buy for your wedding that you can enjoy after the day.
