My husband and I are SO happy we invested in them and selected them to capture the essence of our beautiful wedding day. When first shopping around for a videographer months ago, my photographer and other vendors kept recommending adding Moving Pictures to our dream team line up. The only reservation I had was the price. Videography services are expensive in general and going with Moving Pictures did mean I had to up my budget some. (Note that it is steep but SO worth every single penny. I have no regrets whatsoever and I believe you truly get what you pay for--in this case, a high quality, perfect product). My husband and I were sold when we browsed their collection of work online. We literally went through and watched every single clip we could find on their website, Facebook, Instagram and FELL IN LOVE. It wasn't until we watched a Feature Film for a couple that made us say YES. The feature film hit us with a wave of emotions--we were joyous, our heart strings were pulled, we cried like babies--and we didn't even know this couple! We knew that if Moving Pictures would capture and present our day to make others feel the way we did with this couple--they were the ones for us. And so, we contacted them! I first spoke with Carrie who was wonderful in providing me all the helpful information (packages, prices, how they work, etc.). She was always quick to respond to my e-mails and gave me clear expectations and timelines. Once we signed with them, we were notified of who our Cinematographer would be, Rev, and he was kind enough to give us a call a few weeks prior to the big day to review expectations, the wedding day timeline, and any special requests we had. On the big day, Rev and his assistant Zee arrive and were so professional. What's great about Moving Pictures is how well they worked with our photography team, ANIKO Productions, to capture all the right shots and angles. You can tell they are such professionals in the work they do and considered everything. I knew our day was in the right hands with this team. Exactly three months after our wedding day we are contacted by Emily, our film editor. She invites us to come into the studio for a special premiere screening of our feature film. (Can I emphasize that it was only THREE MONTHS? I hear stories of films taking at least 5 months, or even 9-12!) My husband and I were in tears the entire time. The opening and closing, the speeches and stories interwoven throughout the entire film, the scoring, the beautiful, high quality footage--EVERYTHING was truly moving. They went above and beyond our expectations to put together a film that we will cherish forever. We were so happy with how everything turned out and there is absolutely nothing we would change. I had never used a professional before so started my search on YELP (searching for event photographers in the Portland area). I spoke to two people but am extremely glad that I went with Rob. He has done an awesome job for us. I signed him up for 2 h and he took more images than we ever expected. He managed to capture every detail and all the key moments in the party in amazing image quality. These are pictures that we will cherish for years to come.
