If you're coming to this place expecting a typical Nordstrom experience, you're in the wrong place. This is where Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack returns and overstock go for their absolute final markdown, and it is a treasure hunt adventure! Everything is sold "as-is" and all sales are final. A lot of the items are returns so you should check for stains, holes or broken zippers before checking out. Overall, if you are patient, get adrenaline rushes for some chaos, you can come out of here with some good designer finds. read more

I gave it a one star just because the manager was friendly and helpful! Otherwise, it will be all ZERO. Don't expect to be treated nicely like at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. Their stuff might be from Nordstrom, but the staff's rudeness is way beyond. After an hour of searching for the vow renewal dress, I finally found "the one", but the worst part was there was no tag. One of their policies is no tag, no sale, but I thought it should be a simple fix. The fitting room staff said the process of getting a new tag could take a day or two, which might not be the case at other retailers. Normally, it would take just a minute or two, even at stores like Savers or Goodwill. She also refused to call the manager to meet me, saying there was no point because the manager would go through the same process anyway. She suggested I wander around to find him. I decided to walk away toward the front store and stopped to ask two young staff working in the pants and shoes sections to call the manager for me. They said they couldn't find the manager nearby, so they called another staff member to call him. Finally, I was able to speak with Alex, the manager. I was on the verge of tears because I was upset and stressed. This store is like a thrift store--if you don't get the item that day, you might not find it again because they don't have the same inventory as a retail store. As I mentioned, it took me over an hour to find this dress. I explained the situation to Alex, including how much time I spent, the importance of finally finding the one dress that you and your spouse love, the stress of potentially losing it and not being able to find it again if I had to wait a day to come back--especially since they have no hold policy. I was crying while talking to him, and he said he would see what he could do and walked to the back office. While waiting for the manager, I overheard giggling and mocking sounds from the two young staff I had asked for help earlier. When I turned around, they stopped but still giggled in my direction. I caught one of them pretending to cry. I approached them and took this as a teaching/ learning opportunity. I asked if they were making fun of me, and they denied it. Then I told them I saw that they mocked me crying. One girl said she asked her friend if I was crying, and her friend said yes--that's all. I told them that wasn't right because I had seen it happen quickly enough. As a teacher, I explained that that's not very nice, and they shouldn't do that to anyone because it's unkind and mean. I also told them that I believe the world should be about treating people with respect and kindness, which is one of the most important things these days. I spoke to them respectfully and calmly, without causing a scene, since they already looked embarrassed. The other staff members stepped in and asked what happened, so I explained. They moved the two young staff to different sections. However, none of them apologized. Alex returned and was able to put the tag on without any issues. He then quickly walked away, so I didn't get a chance to express my concerns. But at that moment, I was just so happy to have my dress that I chose to walk away from the stressful situation instead of letting it ruin my day. Lastly, the cashiers--maybe they're having a bad day--none of them smiled or greeted me. When I asked questions, they just brushed me off. I've never written such a long review before, but I hope the company or someone higher up sees this so they can improve the store environment and customer experience. In a world where you can be anything, be kind! That's all. P.S. Would I go back again? Maybe, because there are so many good finds with great value there. But I might have to wait a while because of what I just experienced. read more

Amazing selection, but you have to pick through! Which I personally hate! And if you hate it, this is the wrong place for you. This is the perfect place for my mom. She lovessssssssss Last Chance! We went yesterday so she can look for a coat. While she was looking for coats, I went to the shoe section. The shoe section is easier to pick through so that's why I went to that section. I actually did find some Sam Edelman Birkenstock sandals, which were beautiful. They were originally $150 but you guys had them on sale for $25. SCORE!!!!! My mom found me a bcbgmaxazria faux shearling coat that was originally almost $400 for $52! Double SCORE!!!! I LOVE a good bargain!!!!! My mom bought a coat and some shoes too that will reduce substantially as well. My mom thought she lost her Nordstrom card so she called Nordstrom so they can put a hold on her account but forgot by the time we were in line, she remembered it. Ebony got customer service on the phone for my mom and my mom was able to unblock her card and get a new card sent! Ebony also thoroughly explained the procedures of when you don't physically have your Nordstrom card to my mom and I. She was very patient kind and extremely helpful!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, the selection isn't as good as it once was. I thought Nordstrom sold the store because they made some significant changes recently. You do have to have patience to dig to find a deal. And patience to deal with the other customers. The messiness of the store is due to the customers. They have bins all over the store to leave things you decide you don't want but that doesn't deter customers from leaving things wherever. read more

This place was a dirty, disorganized mess. Clothing is supposed to be sorted by size but most things I looked at were in the wrong place. Also saw prices for generic brand clothing over $30, and some things were clearly used. Really surprised Nordstrom is associated with this. read more

I am a regular shopper here and usually find great things! I went today (drove 40 minutes) and the shoe section was roped off. I asked employees and they said the shoe section was closed today. Seriously such a bummer because the shoe section is the best part of the store. I don't understand how you can just close a large section of a store. read more

I had today very horrible experience with a manager..She was very rude and disrespectful to customers. One employee closed a row with shoes to place new shoes to the shelves. People were nicely waiting around. I was having a conversation with that employee. Then a manager came and started to scream at people to disperse because her employer is working and she should have a privacy. I told to the manager that I'm not in her house , this is a public store and people can be everywhere. She was looking at me as a gestapo and in dictator tone taking to me - disperse. Second, I came when store was just opened in the morning and everywhere were clothes on the floor . Third, the floor was dirty, you can see the dust everywhere. Today i had the worst shopping experience from an employee in there!! I am my own business owner and I know how hard it is to train people. Im usually a quick shopper and only reason I go there for kids stuff and designers selections!! Today around @6 ish pm , I was passing by on one of the aisles to go to men's shoes and an employee came directly out of no where and she said with really angry and depressed tone ordering me and the other older lady make sure to pick up all the clothes from the floor and hang them up!?? "I was like im sorry what? " she then said AGAIN if you see dropped clothes make sure to hang it back !!??? You guys are the only ones in this aisle!!! And I cleaned the entire aisle she said !!! I was really upset at that point & gave her look. Again , she said you too are the only ones in this aisle and I just fixed the entire aisle ~ So I had to look at the floor even i was in a hurry there was mess everywhere !!! The other older lady told her she is so rude which I agreed with her and asked her name she ignored us and walked away !!! So I called the manager at the check up and explained to him what happened he wasn't so different on the communication than the other lady who worked there!!!! But, what is frustrating to me the most is the entire employee situation in there including the manager of the day is so unprofessional and so not happy that they are working there or something is wrong there seems like!! I understand it is not a high end store where you get treated like a customers but I'm pretty sure no one goes there to be threatened like what happened today. It is a still customer service business atleast the manager should take this things with lil more effort and actually atleast act like they are there to do their jobs. First, the store is extremely messy. The shoes are a crazy mess...and I got there right when it opened so I know that it's not maintained well. The sizes were scattered incorrectly. Also, I saw so many shoes that were NOT new. They were filthy with stains and very worn or very damaged. The same with a lot of the clothing. Nothing has manufacturer tags, it's just their tag. This store reminded me up an upscale Goodwill. Won't return not worth the mess and long lines. The 2 stars is for management as I see they reply to negative reviews. read more

I recently came in looking for summer tops and noticed the winter boots were on sale for $5.97 -- great deal! I decided to circle back later and pick some up. I ended up finding 4 pairs of boots, 2 purple tag blouses, 3 blue tag summer tank tops, and 1 pair of blue tag shorts. When I went to check out, something didn't seem right -- and I was correct. I was charged $5.97 for an item I never picked up. To my surprise, the receipt listed it as a men's item. How does that happen? This is incredibly frustrating. We're not in the 1990s anymore -- with today's technology, these types of mistakes should be avoidable. I understand errors can happen, but this feels careless and makes me question the accuracy of the checkout process. read more

My husband and I and a friend were at Yorktown Center and made a special trip to the other end of the mall to check out Last Chance Clearance Store. I love a bargain and wanted to see what I could find there. I found a nice-looking shirt that was only $4.00. I got excited. Then I saw that the shirt was stained. My excitement went away. Went back this morning after a few months away. Again, if you need patience and you have to dig - but the deals are there! I bought six items for $64 - and most are for fall. You can't beat the value - especially these days. Weekdays are better than weekends. I've never had a staff issue - everybody has always been friendly. The shoe aisle is a hot mess but, again, if you have patience and can dig through it - you'll find deals. Also - remember - the mess is likely created by customers and there is only so much staff can do. People feel entitled to leave messes. This is what it is - a Nordstrom, final final location. I have seen a better selection of clothing at Goodwill. The tried on a suit and it fit perfectly until I noticed the wool suit was washed and the fabric had pilled. I tried on a pair of pants and it was mismarked. The third pair pants fit well and I purchased it for about 58 dollars. My seamstress hemmed the pants and I wore them the next day. That day I noticed a faint four inch knife blade cut in the pants and the fabric had started to separate. I think someone opened a box containing the pants at Nordstrom's with a street knife and scared them. Rather than taking a loss, the manager sent the to this clothing dump. I attempted to return them and was unsuccessful. No more shopping at the rack. read more

This can be a fun store. The Phoenix location is immensely better. The Lombard location was completely unorganized, many items didn't have tags (they won't sell you things without tags), and the staff person at the checkout was rude. The selection of high end shoes and dresses is amazing! I have so many nice sneakers and dress shoes that I would not have if it was not for this store. I will say that they should limit how much anyone can get once they line up for shoes. It's sheer greed to see that there are people clearly shopping for a resale store. A friend of mine introduced me to this place. It's a a Nordy Rack outlet of sorts. I've been a couple of times now. It's a disheveled store. The cliente is interesting and many don't find the need to wear masks. They have an extra xx% off tag specials. Over the summer, the day we went, it was 50% off boots. My daughter found 4 pairs for a total of $60 for boots that retailed about $500. That said, you must check and re-check everything before you pay as it's final sale. A lot of the clothing is damaged. I think the pricing on a lot of the damaged merch is vastly over-priced. The store is heavy on tops. Decent dress and shoe selection. Very slim pickings on purses, accessories in general, bottoms and coats. I will say, finding a good find is like a needle in a haystack. Some how I've only walked out of here with shoes. read more

I absolutely Love this store, it my go to store but only on certain days when its not so busy..the only issue I have is the impromptu lines for shoes or home goods, they need to stop that before someone gets hurt. I was nearly trampled, got pushed and shoved, and I wasn't even trying to get in line,I was just shopping. I don't know what has happened to the men's section but it was an absolute disaster on my last visit. The inventory was much more depleted than I have ever seen it and what was there, was a tornado of disorganization. The jeans/pants area was especially bad. I am accustomed to OCCASIONALLY finding items ten sizes too small in the areas where I browse, but on this day it seemed like EVERY SINGLE item was in the wrong place, like it had been done deliberately. It almost looked to me like the employees have completely given up and are now chucking clothes willy nilly wherever they happen to land. There were also at least three completely empty racks with no merchandise displayed at all, which is ALSO something I have never seen. Discarded clothing was also draped over the racks that WERE stocked - it was clear that nobody had come through the aisle to tidy it up for a good long while. My overall impression especially given that the Paul Mitchell cosmetology school that used to be located directly across from the store, has left that location, was that Last Chance was not long for this world. Happened to stumble by here on a Thursday at the mall. Was a long line forming so of course mob mentality got the best of me and I joined. The staff greet you at the door and also add "remember no pushing or shoving" (oh boy, what is this place???) When I finally get in there are folks there with piles of Nike and even some Gucci shoes in their carts (obviously resellers). Upon checking out my size shoe section a lot of the shoes are badly worn, to the point where it's kind of gross. However, if you have the time and the patience (I do not) I bet you could get a killer deal here from some of Nordstrom's returns. read more

Amazing prices, friendly staff, organized store. I've been to the other one like this in AZ and these locations are night and day! The purses are hung up. There isn't a ton of designer items like the other location but there's less chaos here. You do have to dig through the racks of clothes to find something as all the tops are together instead of being separated by coats, sweaters, long sleeves etc, it's just all together. They also have swimwear, shoes, kids clothes, some housewares, and a small selection of men's items. If you didn't already know, this is where Nordstrom sends all their returned, damaged, and excessive inventory so be prepared if you see less then perfect items. read more

Just needed to update my review- newsflash Last Chance still sucks hard. Resellers have absolutely RUINED the appeal of coming to Last Chance, and I maybe walk out 1 of every 5 times feeling like it was worth my time. I understand the no tag no sale policy because people will obviously rip tags off for gain a better price, but I do wish management would be allowed and willing to give prices for things with no tag as I tend to find them that way. Its so frustrating to find things that fit (ie bras) and have to leave them behind because a bad bunch ruin it for everyone. Last Chance/Nordstrom if you read this- please start stocking your store during non business hours to discourage the absolutely ridiculous lines you get throughout your stores when putting out new product. so let me start by saying that I have been going to last chance for years. I have seen Great change grade improvement, but I have some cons. For one, I've noticed that there there aren't a lot of gym shoes if any on the floor because it appears the gym shoes are put in one section and a group of people that comes every morning seems to have a card full of gym shoes but they're never in areas for everyone to find. Now I understand when you have people working there and you know them they have a way of doing you some favors or better yet. They know that you're going to buy the shoes so they help you out a little. This makes it a little difficult for those that come on a consistent basis that don't have that privilege, but are looking for some great deals. I want to give a shout out to the manager, the tall young man that always has a smell and his face, and always lending a helping hand, especially on weekends. Now for some of the cashiers being a little bit more personable would be nice. I understand that you get a lot of people that come into the store either they are not living up to the moral ethic, but when others come to the register, having a welcoming and personal appearance, the same as the manager would be nice. I like that the new people that they are hiring although it's a lot of work, they tend to go back and re-stock the shelves of shoes to make it easier for those that come in after a group of people made a humongous mess. I want to finally say that I truly love last chance because most of my wardrobe comes from this store, and this store comes in handy tremendously. read more

This store is like if Nordstrom and Salvation Army had a baby- lots of high end/designer finds but it's a messy treasure hunt to get to them. This store often looks like a hurricane came through certain areas, especially the shoes. But if you like to dig, there are great deals to be found! Especially if you find the color that's an extra 80% off! I tend to focus on that and have gotten lots of great items for less than $10 each.
