The room was unclean, dated, and downright gross. I felt like I had walked into a rundown, old roadside motel rather than a Marriott hotel. The carpets were old and stained, the toilets and showers were outdated, and the furnishings were tired, worn, and in desperate need of updating. The overall condition of the room was unacceptable, and the lack of cleanliness made the entire experience even worse. Nothing about this room reflected the quality, comfort, or standards I would expect from a Marriott property. Marriott should be ashamed to have its name associated with this hotel. The condition of this property is an embarrassment to the brand and a complete letdown for guests who trust Marriott to provide a clean, comfortable, and quality place to stay. Simply putting the Marriott name on a building does not make it a Marriott-standard hotel. This property needs a serious overhaul, from basic cleanliness to the outdated rooms and furnishings. Guests should not have to walk into a hotel room and immediately want to leave because of its condition. I would absolutely not stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Marriott needs to take responsibility for the condition of this property and bring it up to the standards its guests expect and deserve. This is NOT the Marriott experience, and it is unacceptable that this property carries the Marriott name.
