If there was an option to give a no star rating to Victoria Eye and especially Dr. Behn, I would do…read moreit. I reported a problem two days. after cataract surgery, but any suggestions of a problem was dismissed and I felt I was talked down to by Dr. Behn. After many months of repeated visits I was told there was nothing they could do for me because they could not find a problem. When I went back to my optometrist he found that I had an epi retinal membrane. I put in a complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons and after many months of correspondence back and forth they wrongly sided with Dr. Behn. However, the complaint stays on his file and I suggest that anybody having problems put in a report to COPAS. It's a long process, but doctors that don't provide good medical care need to be taken to task.

Just absolutely disgusted with this eye clinic. My elderly mother came home after being contacted…read moreby them for a random appointment, making her feel like she was referred by another Doctor. As we found out in the end, they were not a referral. They apparently had her in their system from many many moons ago. They proceeded to tell her she should NOT be driving as she was going blind (she literally had just finished driving a truck and trailer from Palm Springs to Victoria with no issues). They also told her she had to have cataracts surgery and that would be $6000.00. They then tried to book her in for this procedure asap but also claim she was going totally blind, which makes you go hummmmmm. As she had just renewed her drivers license and had 20/20 vision, I of course instantly knew there was a serious issue here and had her contact her regular eye Doctor and go in for an appointment. SHOCKING SHE IS NOT GOING BLIND! PLEASE BEWARE AND KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR LOVED ONES THAT ARE VULNERABLE!!!

Meaning, when i called to make the appointment: i was "screened" to make sure i wasn't wasting my money. Day of appointment, empty waiting room, minimal wait time. I traversed through a 3 rooms (stations), 2 for assessments. First room : medical history, glaucoma test, eye dial action, and eye chart reading. Second room: my retina was images on 2 different machines. Third room - Dr O'Malley provided assessment. He has a thorough and sequential (apparent) first visit routine. Stepping through some basic eye physiology as a basis for explains the images and results. i'm normally a guy who likes to skip through the introduction and jump right to the end, but this tune i but my tongue and listened and went along for the ride. I'm glad i did. It's obvious Dr O'Malley read my induct form, and in a honest, direct and plain spoken manner, addressed things he saw - effects of genetics and efficacy of vitamins. In parting, he said i didn't need to see a specialist (like him) for a follow up in a couple of years. Meaning. he focused on the level of care i needed, not generating more patients (and money) for his practice. I went to a gucci (say Ferrari for car buffs like me) Doctor, so i could create a baseline to track any changes, so my next appointment is in 2 years.

I am so grateful for Dr Spinak and everyone at Retina Center. Sequim is lucky to have you. Thank…read moreyou

Scheduling my pre-OP appointment/evaluation was easy. After seeing my regular eye doctor they referred me to PCLI. I received a call from the scheduling company within a day or two. She worked around my schedule and I got an appointment on the calender. A week before my evaluation, I received a message that they needed to reschedule and they gave me a time that didn't work with my kids drop-off schedule for camp. I left a few messages and an email to say I couldn't make the time they rescheduled me for. I finally got a call back ther morning of my appointment. That was frustrating but we got things figured out. My evaluation was fast. I waited 2 minutes before being taken back. The doctor stayed as long as I had questions and I never felt rushed. After that they let me consider and think about the risks and told me to just give the scheduler a call when I was ready if I wanted to move forward. Never any assumptions that I would but left it in my hands to make the best choice for me. I really appreciated that. They never held back or diminished the possible risks flit such a surgery. Scheduling my lasik appointment was again really simple. I called the lady I worked with before. A week before my surgery the scheduler called to tell me a few things to do or not do that week in preparation. She also answers my last few questions and really put my anxiety at ease. I really appreciated her. The morning of the surgery I had my husband drop me off before taking children to school which meant I was there 20 minutes early. No big deal. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the company of the ladies at the front. At 8:30 they took me back to the prep area. They had a locked locker for me to store my belongings of which they gave me a key so only I could access it. They were so very nice. They even gave me a gift for choosing them (a fleece vest). My husband was allowed to come back with me and watch the procedure. Before the procedure the doctor came to introduce himself and to answer any concerns. Wow! Impressive and shows great patient care. Once I'd been numbed to a degree they took me back to a sterile surgery room. Before they started the doctor asked if he could pray ( he would have skipped this if had asked). I said of course but I also wanted to pray for them. It was a very special moment and the feeling in the room was one of sweetness. The doctor told me everything that was happening as it was happening. I knew what to expect. It was a fast procedure. All in all from being brought to the prep area to walking out the door I was there an hour. It never felt rushed either and I never had pain or discomfort. I highly recommend this facility. Professional, speedy, thorough, customer oriented, beautiful facility. Can't go wrong.
