I tried the ombré brows at Fancy Permanent Beauty aka Fancy Luxe Dolls and I love my results. lnitially, I was scared because I thought it would be painful. Fantasi numbed my brows and I didn't feel a thing. I think I feel asleep during our second session, lol. My brows started peeling (scabbing over, it wasn't noticeable) a week later. The end results were gorgeous. I'm constantly receiving compliments and sharing where I got my brows done, especially after I get them threaded!! My threader wants to get her brows done as well. I got my brows done in December 2021 and it's September 2022. I think I need a touch up, but only in the front (my threader agrees). The rest of my brows are nice and dark and still have a beautiful shape/shading. This time around, I'm going to try the combo brows, so the front (where I don't have much hair) look more like strokes of hair vs the shading. I can't wait!

Fantasi is very talented at what she does but to say that this is a positive working environment would be a lie. Fantasi is very unprofessional and passive-aggressive. I worked at the salon for 9 months and truly enjoyed working there initially. I learned a lot and gained experience, which I probably would not have if I did not come to work there. Fantasi trains her employees but only to a certain extent. She will train you and then when it is time to put what you have learned to work she wants to control when you can provide the service. She trained me on Microshading. Once, I started booking models, she blocked me from having access to the site and told me that she was not looking for a brow artist. She tells me this after I had already purchased almost $500 worth of equipment. I did not allow that to deter me because she is the owner. After a few days, her energy seemed a bit off. I did not pay it any mind because as a grown woman, I do not feed into attitudes. Fast forward to November 12, 2021, I attempted to log onto my account to confirm my clients for the next day. I was at that point blocked from the entire site. How do you block your employee from having access to their OWN CLIENTS! I texted her about the issue. Did not get a response. I followed up with her the next day and her response was, "oh we will talk about that". She never had a conversation with me. I left the salon for the day. Then I thought, this is not a working environment that I think I should continue working in so I decided to return to the salon and pack my things. At this point, she had not paid me, so I called her to obtain an update as to when I would receive my pay. She was a week late paying me, might I add. As an employer, your employees should never have to reach out to you to pay them. I called her in a professional manner to request an ETA on my pay. Guess what her response was? We need to talk about that because I want to know how you are going to pay for your training. I am shocked at this point because we never discussed me paying for training. Her response was, well I heard you were leaving the salon and you did not have a conversation with me, so you can pay for your training and subtract the cost of the kit and I will give you your certificate. Unprofessional right? She then goes down a long list of things I have done wrong. Why she would just now be bringing this up instead of addressing it when it happened, I do not know. I get to the salon to pack my things to find out that she had changed the locks and packed all of my things, without my permission and once again, without having a conversation with me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. As a business owner if you have someone working in your salon, how do you not communicate issues or concerns? Make it make sense. Then the next day, she called my clients confirming their appointments as if I would be at work that day. I had already contacted my clients to let them know that I would not be returning. VERY SNEAKY. I would not recommend working here. There is definitely more to the story but this seems to justify why it would not be a good idea to work there. All of this over some he say she say and her lack of effective communication. She also refused to refund MY clients for appointments they pre-booked to see me. She tried to use the non-refundable deposit policy as a reason why they could not be refunded. Very sad. I hope this helps someone who is interested in working here. For all of my clients, that I was not able to reach due to her blocking me, you can follow me on Instagram and book through the link in my bio! @taylahhdemiartistry

The textured surface does a fantastic job of getting rid of all those pesky dead skin cells, and girl does it leave my skin feeling smoother than ever! I love how convenient and easy it is to use, and the fact that it's gentle enough to not irritate my skin is a big plus. Plus, it's built to last, so no worries about it falling apart on me. And here's the best part: it's like a magic potion for my other skincare products! They absorb so much better now, and my skin is loving it. Trust me, this exfoliating pad is a total game-changer and a must-have in my daily routine! Also, I must add that customer service is top tier. I wasn't sure where my product was so I reached out regarding shipping information and I was responded to so quickly. There's nothing like good service and good product. Take all my money :)

She seemed nice and informative, so I inquired about her microblading training. She stated she doesn't have many clients, and offered discounted microblading training. I didn't ask for a discount, but she offered it (reg price $1500, I paid $750). She was supposed to provide a model, and didn't do so. I provided a model, and she charged me a fee. She did not discuss this at the beginning of training. So I came out of pocket, and paid for my model's brows. She promised a certificate at the end of training, which I haven't received (see the screenshots). Training ended July 6th. She also promised to shadow me with 1 client. We confirmed a date and time. I was eagar to microblade, and did 1 client by myself. That's when I noticed the shift. Chasity told me I wouldn't be good in microblading right away. I thought that was odd to tell your trainee that, and a bit discouraging. She also took a client while she was training me. I thought that was odd too, but let it slide. After I told her I microbladed my first model, she switched up on me. She asked me the next day, do I need her to shadow me, because it's 4 hrs out of her time. She had already promised to do so, shadowing is apart of training. I even offered to bring my model to her location, but she declined. So, on Aug 3rd, I texted her asking for my certificate and to end all contact. She texted me, that she was "Done Here." She was making promises and not executing them. I was very polite. She then started attacking me via text messages. Saying I was selfish, and that her life was busy. I never asked her for anything outside of what she offered. She was a seasoned Esthetician, that preyed on a newer Esthetician. I wouldn't recommend getting a service or training from Sugar Pop Esthetics. Below are screenshots. I pray she gets well, and doesn't scam another Esthetician. I reported her to The Dept Of Labor 2 wks ago. She waited 2 wks later to respond (last night). Only venting messiness, and still not sending my certificate. She just sent another email as I'm typing this review, saying "This woman is a mess." She still hasn't sent the certificate. As you can see, she went from one extreme to the next. She admitted her wrong, then went on with personal attacks. She used her personal issues to give reason to not send my certificate. I teach classes all the time, and I've NEVER treated my trainees this way. Training ended on July 6th, I'm still without a certificate. I'm glad I recorded training for proof. I don't recommend this business!

The treatment you get at Glamd is too good to be true -- fair and upfront pricing, amazing convenience and appointment flexibility, and the highest quality products I've ever seen used. 1) VALUE! Most lash places in the DMV nickel-and-dime you and charge extra for better products, but there aren't any "better products" here -- they just use only the best! Even at the top lash tech level of pricing, Glamd charges half of what most places do for double the service and quality. This is an investment, but it's one worth making. You get what you pay for, and trust me, you don't want to go cheap when it comes to your eyes. But here, you get the right price with the confidence that you'll be kept safe and looking amazing. 2) CONVENIENCE! Glamd will come to YOU! Yes, that's right, for a small fee, you can get your lashes done in your own house. I had never even heard of this as a possibility. You can also visit them conveniently in Silver Spring. They are super flexible with appointment times and very accommodating to your schedule. 3) PRODUCTS! I've never had an issue with skin/eye irritation, losing lashes, or anything else that I experienced with other places. I could easily get 3 full weeks out of a fill. That is unheard of anywhere else you go! I had no idea how crappy the products I was getting everywhere else were until I went to Glamd. It makes a SERIOUS difference. Plus, Stella and her team are fabulous and truly passionate about what they do for their clients. Stella is an awesome educator and will tell you everything you need to know about taking care of your lashes. She even teaches folks how to get certified and become lash techs themselves! It's been so great to see the team grow and include even more services to make all of us clients look and feel amazing. Long story short: do not hesitate to give your business to Glamd Lash! You can support a black-owned/woman-owned business and get the best lashes of your life, with amazing customer service on top of it all. Go to Glamd or don't bother going!!!
