She was so careful not to make any prior damage worse, and she has an eye for color style. Months later and I still won't go anywhere else since I found Alissa! I now get the gel every two or three weeks and the manicure definitely lasts the whole time. None of the chips/breaks or the dreaded gel-peels I have experienced with the walk-in places. She has some fun techniques for accent nails or a flashy 10-finger party. Plus there was a heated shoulder wrap, heated mitts for the gel soak-off, literally all the colors from several respected & reliable brands (gel, dip, and traditional formulas!) careful cuticle work, and a warm smile that makes it a wonderful comfortable experience for a VERY reasonable price. She asked me what style I preferred. I'm a volume girly but she recommend the "Hybrid " design for me so I went with her choice for my eyes and face. The process takes about 45-1hour so be prepared to sit for a little bit. She was gentle and careful and it was not painful or unpleasant. It felt like a feather gently poking you on your eye lids. Haha. I don't know how to describe the feeling but it felt like eyelashes being installed piece by piece which is cool. The outcome looked amazing!! Mary is genuine and has a very strong work ethic. She does not do the elaborate or exaggerate, over-the-top kind of brows (not that I am knocking anyone's preference). o each his/her own. That works for me because I prefer a more natural look. I'be always rceived coplimens on my brows with women telling me that they are alwasy on point-Imean strangers-like women in the gym who have only seen me there when I work out. Mary quelled my fears about the process and explained every step in the process. She was always responsive even after the process was finished. I've been getting lash extensions for about 2-3years now. I use to get them done at a spa in…read moreColumbia, MD and they used Novalash. For a year or so, I thought my lashes looked great. They were long and thick but every now and then it felt like a few lashes were glued to my eye lid. I realized that lash extensions aren't suppose to be glued directly to your eyelid when I started seeing Ellen. Ellen not only does a great job with selection of the lengths but she also is meticulous about her work. My extensions with Lushious Lashes look natural and they aren't "too heavy". In the past, with Novalash, they were a bit heavier so my real lashes would eventually start sagging. I'm not saying Novalash is bad for you but maybe not right for my thin fragile lashes. Also when Ellen does my lashes, they stay on for 3-4 weeks and I never feel like something is "on". They feel like my natural lashes, only they look 10x better. I don't like to wear a lot of make up so Ellen's Lushious Lashes make me look like I have mascara on all the time. This saves me time in the morning when getting ready for work and other events. Lastly, Ellen does make house calls, which is nice for someone with a busy schedule and you are also in the comfort of your own home.
