Elise is a very good lash artist but her life is in disarray. She was never once on time for an appointment and today she let me drive a half hour and arrive only to have her "reschedule" me for an hour later which I could not do. She had already rescheduled my 12:30 appointment for 2:30. I have kept her for some time, even with all the rescheduling and lateness, but today was just too much a waste of my time and gas and having to find someone last minute to do my lashes. If you live in Camarillo and don't mind waiting for her and constantly having your appointment be changed then she is the lash artist for you. Please believe all the reviews that say this. read more

I have a few events back to back in November so I decided to treat myself to a lash lift and tint with Elisa. I booked my appointment for 11/4 on 9/28, so well in advance. At 9a on 11/4 she tells me she has a "scheduling conflict" for my 11a appointment and asks if I can do 1:30p; I say yes. I do not live in Camarillo and have to leave about 40-45mins before to make the appointment so I am driving to my appointment and she texts me at 1:15pm when I am already halfway there saying "I have a little family emergency I will be in Camarillo at 330 can we do then?" Frustrated, I turn around and initially say yes, but then ask her if tomorrow morning might be better for her (all at 1:30p), trying to reduce the risk of another cancellation. She does not respond until 2:53p, once again I am in my car and beginning to drive, though fortunately not as far from home. She agrees that tomorrow is better for a 10:30a appointment. On 11/5 she texted after 9:30a to let me know that LAST NIGHT her son "suffered an injury playing his football came" and they are "headed to the hospital" so she needs to reschedule (why did she wait so long to let me know? or to go to the hospital for such a serious injury?). I ask her if there is someone else that can do this service for her since I am out of town for the next two weeks for an event (the whole reason that I wanted to get the service to begin with). She says not for someone with a groupon. I contacted groupon and though you cannot get a refund after three days from the purchase date I let them know that the merchant was unable to get me the service I requested in a reasonable timeframe with last minute cancellations. They gave me groupon credits. When I let her know that I didn't appreciate another cancellation and would leave this review, she then said that she could make an appointment with me later today (why didn't she offer to reschedule prior?) I told her I had already gotten a refund and then she started saying things like "thank you for your empathy and patience". I just think from a new customer perspective one cancellation is totally understandable but 4 in ~24 hours is just unprofessional, and letting folks know last minute is unacceptable. Based on some of these other reviews it seems like this is a habit Elisa has. Hopefully, she learns that such a habit is not conducive to running a business or gaining customers/ customer loyalty. She might do great work! But why risk the frustration of trying to get in her seat when you can easily find someone else who respects your time? read more

Would not recommend. Initially she reschedule and moved my appointment literally minutes before it was about to start. Do not book with the salon owner Elisa. I booked with Elisa for 2 months (fills every 2 weeks) and she has been extremely late to EVERY appointment. Not just 5-10 minutes, but 30-50 minutes late. She either isn't at the salon or she's "running a few minutes late" but doesn't let you know until you're sitting in the parking lot. In addition to her unacceptable extreme tardiness, she literally lashes on your eyelid. I close my eyes and it hurts. She also double lashes (glues an extension to multiple natural lashes). I have been going to Elisa for over 2 years now and she is the only one I trust with my lashes. I was consistent with my fills for almost two years and was super happy but I decided to take them off for the summer and give them a break. Most people are afraid to get extensions because they are afraid of losing their own lashes but when I took mine off, they were just like they used to be! No damage at all.. which makes me feel so confident in getting them back on and maintaining my beautifully long lashes. I recently just got them put back on and she said that she had changed Lash brands and that the glue was so much better and would last longer! I am three weeks into this set and I swear they look like I just got them done.. now I am able to go 4 weeks in between fills instead of 3 which is amazing!
