Laser advantage medi-spa is an attractive shop and the staff are friendly.
Having won a 75.00$ gift certificate I was looking forward to my first experience at laser advantage.
For the amount of the certificate it was decided I would receive a laser dark spot treatment.
I had this done about 3 years ago so knew what to expect.
At that time the treatment cost about 200.00$.
It was a full hour, so I realized the certificate would cover less time.
I was uneasy to see a wash cloth with cold water was used to remove my face make-up. The basic practice of any spa would be to use a facial cleansing product.
With the treatment, each cheek received 6 or 7 "zaps" of the laser, about 15 seconds each side.
When I had the procedure done 3 years ago each cheek received about 40 laser saps. I recall because it stung, and I was counting....
The session with laser advantage took less than 5 minutes.
Noting my surprise on how fast the session went, I was told that the machines have greatly improved since I had done it last.
So, as a long time client of the clinic I dealt with in Montreal, I called them.
They confirmed the technology has improved, however it was explained that what I received was basically a "demonstration" at best.
I'm frustrated because I feel ripped off.
Was it because it was a gift certificate?
I will not return to Laser advantage.
