We both had Jacob the masseuse - a young fellow who we both question if he was even a licensed massage therapist. The massage was such a light touch - it didn't help relieve any muscle tension for either of us and he skipped "massaging" my friend's arms all together! You have a significant upcharge for any "service" other than the basic light to medium massage (it was never even near medium) that included deep tissue, reflexology, anything. We both said to the front desk girl it was the worst massage we ever had! Girl shows mild interest and says "Oh? Sorry." My friend asked "Isn't there anything you can do for us?" Girl: "Umm...I could give you 10% off or you could come back tomorrow." Us: "No thanks. We'll take the 10% off." So, the $186 (!!) massage - $155 for 60 minutes plus a 20% mandatory gratuity add-on was minorly discounted. Gee....thanks. How about you get a qualified massage therapist instead? They count on one and done customers as they know they're not returning to this vacation island. Lakeside Spa has no right calling themselves a spa - absolutely terrible. They literally ripped us off as we didn't get what we paid for. Stay away from this place!

The bathroom is in the middle and the front room has a bed, a sitting area and a small kitchenette. The room was comfy and fairly quiet for being in the middle of everything. The front desk was wonderful! I needed to get a scooter and they let me park it in the lobby overnight. When we planned the trip we wanted to stay at the Grand but after staying here we were so glad we were in town with so much to do and we could still go up and see the Grand.

The room we were led to was large and the beds were side by side; it was also right near the lobby/reception area so there were plenty of noises either coming from that area or from the shops above but that did not detract from the experience. Once we assumed the position, they returned and turned down the lights and proceeded with the massage. Personally, because I sit down for work alot I specified that i was looking for neck and back massage as well as calves and feet. I had assumed that they would spend the hour massaging only those spots but she also ended up massaging other areas that I didn't think needed it; every knot was taken care of and when the hour was up both my wife and I were very stressfree. P.S. my wife and I had gotten a couples massage during our honeymoon elsewhere and while I had no complaints af the time, I realized that the masseuse here do not talk which contributes to the relaxation and was also a big positive to this review.

She completely disregarded what I wanted and BUTCHERED my hair, cutting it about 5 inches shorter in the front than what I wanted, which is saying a lot since I requested a pixie cut. I left in tears. So, if you feel like severe disappointment and months of growing out your hair, make sure you ask for Riley, who will happily f*ck it up, no questions asked.
