I've been to a few places to get my nails done , it was a few days before christmas eve and my daughter and i wanted to get our nails done . we went everywhere in town but every where was packed or booked . Someone suggested Kims nails so we figured we would give it a go . I will ever ever go anywhere else other than Kim's nails . What an amazing place to go too , they talk to you , they don't talk to themselves in their language and then look at you . They had the tv on to a beautiful waterfalls video from all over the world , they care what you want . I have short nails and she made my nails look so real and spiced it up with a snowflake and a diamond . They are gentle and don't twist your fingers and wrists . I have had my nails on for a few weeks and compared to other places these are not even starting to fall off I definitely suggest going there . read more

I came in with my husband about 4 weeks ago. We were tourists. I dont know if that is why we were given such a poor pedi. First off, my husband asked how much for a pedi over the phone. He was told $30. Then when we came in I asked if I could use a card. I was told yes. In the end, we paid $40 each and I had to walk across the street to get cash. So very much a bait and switch. And I wonder too if the person was qualified to do a pedi because she hurt my husband several times when she was cutting his nails and she wouldn't stop. She said she knew what she was doing. She didn't shape or even out my nails at all, and then just sorta swished on the polish. I just don't think she cared about what she was doing. She took a few swipes with the pumice and did a one-handed pathetic massage on the legs. She just didn't care because she knew she was going to get paid regardless by these two tourists. I should have looked at Yelp before we came. Now that I have looked, I see that many of reviews are pretty old so the sad part is that this business has been getting away with poor business practices for a long time. Oh, and the really bad part was that two women came in from the community to ask these owners to "put" an event " in their calendar." The woman acknowledged them but said to ask "him". The man didn't say a word, never looked up from the nails he was doing and completely ignored them. I really don't like doing bad reviews and rarely do them. But this was just so not a good experience. I'm not sure the lady was licensed because she didn't know what she was doing. Very simple everyday nail salon things. Multiple times I had to tell her she was hurting me. I just can't recommend this place the finished product is not good either. read more

I really hate posting bad reviews but there was so many things wrong with this place that ruined my overall experience that I can't help but warn others. Full disclosure, this was my first mani-pedi ever as I'm a guy in my late 30's and never thought to so this until now. That aside, the woman (who I assume is the owner along with her husband) was eating in the front window upon my arrival. After walking through the door, I'm greeted with "You have an appointment?" After responding yes she pointed to the massage chair where I was to get set up. There was no area to hang my coat or put my shoes so I basically took them off at the door and threw everything on a nearby chair. She did offer me coffee but declined. I'm glad I did. There was no coffee maker to be found but noticed prefilled coffee mugs so my guess is they would reheat in the microwave and serve? No thanks. The place seemed clean, but very cluttered with miscellaneous boxes and unnecessary stuff scattered around. The decor was very dated with posters seemingly from the 1980s Like the decor, the condition of the facility was very dated and noticed roof leaks in some areas. The service itself wasn't all that great as my feet still had plenty of rough patches on them. The icing on the cake was that another client walked in that wasn't scheduled for another 15 minutes and the woman just walked away - no cleaning of my hands or moisturizer. I was told to walk over to the sink and finish up there. The only thing keeping from a 1-star review is that it was cheap. I didn't have a lot of cash on me that day but you definitely get what you pay for. I won't be back. read more

AWFUL!! Waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. Entire shop, including the tv shows, were in Vietnamese not english. When I walked out the guy told me that now I was going to owe him 40 dollars instead of 30. When what I already wanted should have been only 25 dollars. Shop was filthy. Rude people. Terrible. This nails salon is a great salon, there is entertainment while you are getting your nails done. The quality of the nails are very great considering the small price you pay, they also have a discount for students on top of their low prices. It is honestly all together a great salon for the price and quality of the actual nails. I would definitely recommend, the people are friendly and the overall nail quality is good. I have only great things to say about Kim nails. They were kind and friendly. The television may have had their own culture playing but it was entertaining and very relaxing and he told me what the story was about and we had some good laughs. It may not be high-end but you couldn't have asked for a more friendly environment from both him and his wife. I was so impressed with their kindness, I am taking my mom there for her very first pedicure and manicure, she is 86 years old. I do not agree with the negative comments they have received.
