Need to change listed hours. Showed up at 730 pm and they had decided to close early and refused to serve us.

Don't be fooled by the modest appearance, the food is top notch! It is a casual environment with tables in the back in an open air but covered courtyard. You will not find fresher seafood or more authentic dishes anywhere on the island. Diego, the chef-owner, and the rest of his team were so kind & welcoming. It was like eating at my favorite uncle's house. I am an avid and enthusiastic eater - fish tacos & ceviche are two of my all-time favorite foods and these are the absolute best I have ever had. Incredibly fresh, full of flavor, & generous portions at very reasonable prices. The guacamole was also very tasty. I look forward to returning during all my future visits to Cozumel.

The place looks like a seafood market from the front but you enter to the back and there is a whole outdoor dining area with plenty of chairs and tables. It can get really warm on hot days but they have a bunch of big fans. We weren't super hungry so we shared a large guacamole and a large seafood ceviche grande. The guac was really sour/lemony but in a good way. I enjoyed it. The seafood ceviche had all sorts of seafood, including fish, shrimp, octopus and other goodies. The seafood in it tasted fresh and was delicious. The order was big enough for 3 people to share. We ended up paying about $80 which I thought was rather pricey for just some guac and ceviche to share. The ambience was super casual and nothing fancy. The service was cool. It is good seafood but just know it's on the pricier end.

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.
