Had a good first experience with Las Perlas. At first, I honestly thought it was a taco truck I've been looking for since the colors and name looked pretty similar--but I was hungry, so I decided to give them a try. They're conveniently located right off the Pringle exit on southbound 99, parked at a Valero gas station, which makes it an easy stop. Prices are reasonable. I ordered three carne asada tacos with hot sauce and added sour cream for a small extra charge - came out to $9. Service was pretty. The tacos came with caramelized onions on the side--nice touch, though not really my preference althought I enjoyed the lemon and jalapenos. This is my go to spot in Galt. It's located off of 99 from the Pringle exit, at the Valero gas station. It's a blue Taco Truck, you can't miss it. They are pretty consistent. The meat is flavorful and exactly what you would expect from a Taco Truck. The burrito is meaty! They don't skimp out by filling it with extra rice or beans. Their sauces are very good too. If the salsa ain't right, then it ruins the whole meal. They do accept Apple Pay. They give you lime and a jalapeño on the side. My husband just picked up 4 tacos & they charged him $24. The tacos are $2.99 each. They said it's because of the tax. He asked for a receipt & they wouldn't give him one. If they are charging that much in tax sounds like fraud to me. Absolutely horrible service & ridiculous pricing for crappy tacos. We were getting off the freeway to get food somewhere else but then saw Las Perlas and decided to stop here instead since it was closer to the freeway. So glad we stopped at this place, because oh my gosh, the tacos were so good! We got some tacos Al pastor, which were mouth watering good, two tacos de asada plain for my daughter, and a carne asada burrito supreme. The carne asada was good, but I wish I would've done al pastor for the burrito also because it was just that good! Happy we have a new spot to stop by on our roadtrips to and from LA. read more

Best Al Pastor all around? kind of but only when theyre on their A-game which is becoming less and less, just really inconsistent service these days. Used to be my favorite spot, the al pastor is cooked authentically, with fantastic flavor but once in a while they fall short and the meat is like rubber. The condiments are almost never spread out evenly with a huge glob of sour cream and cheese in the end like you'd expect from taco bell, not on a $9 burrito. They've also changed things up and reduced the amount of meat by about 1/3 to 1/2, somewhat replacing it with rice, beans, and Cheese so it's gotten pretty gross and is still smaller than it was before. At the very least they could put a decent amount of beans and rice, not just a spoon full of each. With Taco Feliz down the street selling pretty good tasting, massive burritos packed full of pork for the same price it's not a good move to cut costs in this way. If your trying to save on cost why add expensive nasty pre-grated cheese? I also have a concern with food temp which is the main reason I'm not eating here much anymore, when certain people are working the burritos are sometimes premade which I know because they assume a white person doesn't speak Spanish, surprise a lot of us do, and even if I didn't understand what they are saying to each other its obvious when it's ready a minute after ordering, its lukewarm and I get a supreme when I ordered a reg. The lady was rude she told us it was going to take 10 minutes to get our food because she was busy, we said thats ok well order still! Not even 5 minutes laters she waves at us and shes chastising my husband for not paying attention to our order and its putting her behind! Best Al Pastor in the state. Lengua also outstanding. Friendly. Quick. Food truck so I don't know if it is there every day. No seating so this is a place to stop, get 4 tacos Al Pastor, get back in your car, and spend the next 30 minutes of your drive down 99 in heaven, distracted from the fact that you are driving down the central valley down 99 by delicious bites of Al Pastor. My son ordered a Super Al Pastor burrito with no beans they gave him a carne asada burrito (no super) with beans . There was some sort of bone in it that nearly cracked his tooth. I asked For Asada tacos well done and received soggy cold tortillas and the meat was not well done. Must be one of those places were you place your order and then they give you whatever they want.
