Services 5/5 New Hope serves the local community providing social services assistance for job hunting, utilities Assistance, shelter locating services, food bank services, clothing services, limited first-aid services, haircuts and a church service for individuals and families. Staff 5/5 This organization is Managed by Mark who conducted our tour. His "all volunteer" team do God's work providing support and services many in our community in need. Needs New Hope is dependent on the generosity of several large grocery chains, other churches are contributing clothing, food, financial contributions, and who have joined New Hopes vision by volunteering time at the center. My wife and I enjoyed our tour and are amazed at what they are doing. I see Mark periodically at Broadway Christian Church Sundays and he pops his head in my office during the week for a warm hand shake. I am blessed to know him. Mark you have a servants Heart doing Gods work, May God continue to bless you and New Hope, Amen.

Sometimes people can even get help with their utility bills. The thing I like the best about the food bank is I get to pick my own food, and they give a lot of it. I had recently been sheltered at cast, which did have amenities, but not as decent as JustaCenter. I was able to take a shower in privacy. I was able to access the Internet privately for me that was the outside world of resources. Was able to have mail services, have a healthy snack and a lunch as scheduled, able to sit and rest inside or out within a wonderful area sat enclosed in private. Many times i could look up at the beautiful sky and appreciate things as they were- only there seemed for me i could do that. Have my laundry done and folded for me in small batches weekly. This is a place with schedule and time frames and it was exactly the type of routine regimen i needed schedule throughout the day that kept me focused intact. I could keep my goals and make them in more of an orderly fashion than just an average homeless resource way. I admire their crew. The coordinators that operate there are fine people. It showed to me. I shared a need /extraordinary goal that I had to accomplish and I did through Justa Center. I will forever be grateful. I'm so glad that there's a place like that on earth. Homelessness was a very unexpected experience of mine in my life at the time to say the least, I felt human being an added as a member of the Justa center, instead of the demise of a place like Cass shelter. Conveniently it was located but a few blocks away. That place is definitely deserving of great contribution. I couldn't compliment enough on the coordination that happens because of the people there that run the place from top to bottom. I personally had a life-changing issue that I had brought attention to a coordinator there at Justa Center. Through staff and all that work there together, they made that change happen for me. It has been close to 3 years, and I am getting ready to go homeless again, as I am having surgury in the next week, and cannot work to pay my rent. I need more help, this time with a pro bono lawyer about my past that stops me from getting a place I can actually afford. It has been over 23 years, and I still have a record that says 'just live in your car' and my record is really old and now the drug is legal. There was a wet diaper in the hall, and a woman wandering in the hall with no pants on! I was visiting when the tech came in and asked me if I could take care of the mess that I had gone to get her to clean up. The patients have NO way to call for help other than hollering until someone happens to come in. When I asked about this, they told me "we check on them". I was there for 4 hours, and no one came in. The meals are HORRIBLE. I stayed to enjoy a meal with her, and no one at the table could eat the meal. None of us could even figure out what it was, broccoli with a brown gravy stuff on it.
