We had a wonderful stay at Las Palomas. Located just on the edge of historic downtown, this inn takes up a whole street corner with multiple buildings, some of which date back to the 1890s. It's an easy walk to the Plaza and many other attractions and restaurants. The rooms are decorated in an authentic southwest style and have all the amenities you will need. They serve a delicious breakfast each morning with 5 options to choose from, and it is included with your stay. Front desk service is very friendly and informative. This is a perfect place to stay while exploring Santa Fe.

Incredible hotel with the friendliest staff! Great location, beautiful HUGE rooms, private and quiet and yet close to everything downtown. Fireplace in our room was amazing. Out complimentary breakfast was also out of this world good! We tried many things but the burrito, Christmas style was incredibly delicious! We will be back! We loved the hotel, the decor, the art, the delicious deserts at night and the beautiful lighting on the grounds. Just magical!

This was the cutest bed and breakfast ever, so unique and cozy! Each night comes with complementary breakfast and a drink. The food was amazing its not just a regular hotel buffet, you get to order from their stacked menu. Highly reccomend staying here if you are in town, the staff was super friendly as well!

We really enjoyed our stay even if it was for just a night. We had a king suit. Very spacious. They serve breakfast with juices and coffee in the morning and they have fresh cookies in the evening. Very nice touch! The people there were friendly and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready by 4 but we just walked downtown. Great location only a 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. The only not so great thing about this place was the actual mattress. It literally sunk in the middle. I'd come back and ask for a different room next time. If we stayed more than a night I would have asked. Other than that we loved it.

We just had another wonderful stay here. We always love staying here it's such a unique place. When we arrived the man at the front gave us two bundles of wood for the fireplace. When we got to our room there was also fresh wood in the fireplace already. We always like to stay here bc we do like to make a little fire it's always so romantic. However, this time the fireplace was not cleaned properly & it smoked us out. We had to put the fire out & air out the room, as we were not able to have a fire. We found the grounds, room, service to be in its usually orderly fashion, however, the fireplace needed a good cleaning we were not able to have a fire which was the whole reason for staying at this hotel. Attention management: "During the winter months you have to keep ALL the maintenance up, especially the fireplaces. We were very disappointed that we were not able to have a fire bc the fireplace needed a cleaning." Hubby and I just decided to leave early & drive back home as we had other pressing engagements. We were told the breakfast started at 7 and indeed it did, right on time. We were the first ones at brekkie, we grabbed a couple of fresh made to order Cappuccinos to go and loaded up a cup of fresh cut up fruit to go. They were both super delicious. Thank you for the wonderful brekkie. Please clean the fireplaces. Will update my review accordingly.

This unassuming gem of a hotel is positioned in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of the downtown area. We were pulling a trailer and had enough room to park in the private lot. Our room was thoughtfully stocked with high-end personal care products (shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, lotion, face and body bar soaps). The rooms are adequately sized for 2 people. They are a pet-friendly hotel and our dog enjoyed meeting other dogs. The made-to-order breakfast, which is included in the room cost, was excellent! I had the breakfast burrito and my husband had the eggs, bacon, hash brown combo. Loved that we got free lattes and coffee until 10 am. We are on the outdoor patio dining area, but there is also inside seating. Definitely will book here again in the future.

This place was perfect for my stay in Santa Fe. Check in was easy, even if my room wasn't ready til 5 or so when the place wasn't at full capacity but that was most likely because I asked for a room with a tub and a fireplace. (They have very few tubs) Nobody called to tell me it was ready so I had to call and ask but when I got there I found my bags (three heavy ones) were placed in my room for me I had an issue with the air and the fireplace and called the front desk who said he'd come in about an hour to check it out. I wanted to go get dinner, after a 7hour flight and no food, so I stayed that was unacceptable and if they didn't work I wasn't staying in that room. He and maintenance came quickly and figured out the AC remote needed new batteries and the pilot for the fireplace need to be relit. Thanks guys!! It was so peaceful and quiet there. With no maid service u less requested (covid and all) there were no maids banging on doors around the room The room had everything I needed. Glasses, tea, coffee, fridge, microwave, a deep tub, soft pillows. I slept like a baby. There's free full breakfast everyday. I didn't try it as Im not an early eater but I sure enjoyed the hot chocolate ,tea and cappuccino. Check out was a breeze. Everyo e is very friendly here. The artwork around the grounds is eclectic and lovely to see. Super close walking to distance to where you want to be and an adorable piano bar right down the street where the locals go. I'll be back!

I first stayed at Las Palomas 11 years ago and returned this week. I joined a group of old friends who were in Santa Fe for the first time. It's an enchanted place. While rooms were simple, they were welcoming and comfortable. We gathered every morning for breakfast together in the lobby. Food and coffee were excellent. The staff was wonderful... and fresh baked cookies every afternoon were divine.

This was an excellent find if you're looking for the complete Santa Fe experience for a moderate price (an average of $156 per night), and it almost didn't happen because I made the huge mistake of booking through Agoda. It started with a fat finger error where I shorted me and Jamie W. a night when I made an online reservation through TripAdvisor. I called Agoda up to add a night thinking it wouldn't be a problem. Wrong! They said I couldn't change the reservation to add the night and because it was Memorial Day weekend, they wouldn't accept a single night booking. I pleaded but to a completely indifferent service rep who wasn't willing to help me. It was only after I contacted the hotel directly that it was straightened out, and I was still convinced Agoda would charge me for their reservation. The moment we walked into the lobby we were reassured that I wouldn't be double charged, and I wasn't. The location was ideal on West San Francisco Street on the quiet side of Guadalupe away from the hubbub of the plaza. It has the classic southwestern look at including a guest room that felt like a casita. There was a gas fireplace, a mini-fridge, and enough adobe to make Georgia O'Keeffe delirious. We stayed four nights and took advantage of the complimentary waffles and omelettes they made for breakfast as well as the cappuccinos and cookies warming in their crockpot the rest of the day. The staff was first-rate, and we liked how almost everything was within walking distance including a shopping center with a CVS and a Sprouts to pick up snacks and such. We would definitely come back here should we find ourselves in Santa Fe. And now I know to book directly. RELATED - Do you know the way to Santa Fe? When we drove in, the parking lot was just about full and the space that was available was too small for my truck. The security guard who I wish I could remember his name as he was such a gem, let me know that he will park my truck for me. He had a fabulous Texan accent and he was just the nicest man. He said go on inside and check in and when you come back out, I will park your truck for you. The woman who greeted me inside was so lovely. She said I am so glad you are here! You are our last guest to arrive and I will get you all checked in. It felt like we were in a different time almost, it was so cozy and quaint. Our hotel room itself was perfect. We had two beds and they were so comfortable and the linens were fabulous. The wall hangings and paintings were gorgeous. The bathroom was adorable and had pretty New Mexican tile. Even the carpets and rugs were beautiful. They do have a restaurant and room service. They have a complementary breakfast cooked to order which is something I have never seen before. Unfortunately we were so tired the next day we missed the breakfast, but we will definitely book another stay in this hotel. The reception area is beautiful and has lovely couches and sitting areas. The paperwork in the rooms is extremely thorough and will tell you everything you need to know, from room service to if you have difficulty parking your car to nearby restaurants and sightseeing. I did not read all of the paperwork when I first got to the hotel and in the morning I called for coffee to be delivered to my room. I later saw that coffee is actually set out for guests in the reception area so the woman who brought me the coffee really only did it out of kindness. I definitely felt like this hotel gives five star service.

And they didn't hv any 2 bed rooms available. So I found this place And in that week between Christmas and New Year's we still wanted to catch the Christmas lights and farolitos And if you too are about location, location, location This was perfect If you've ever had to drive to Santa Fe, you know that parking can be a bear -- and it was, with a lot of the main streets blocked off in anticipation of NYE celebrations. The hotel is actually quite a large, sprawling complex, much deeper that what might be assumed when pulling in. We got there mid-afternoon so could park rt in front of our first floor room. I hadn't even thought about that but my creaky knees were happy and quite relieved to only hv to haul my wee bag up 7 steps or so. Check in was easy, if a bit crowded, as a lot of regulars like to show up a bit early too. The doorman was a very polite young man and everyone made us feel welcome. The older gentleman at the counter was a font of information And made sure we knew abt the Happy Hour Short and sweet Whatever you do: try the biscochitos! (The official NM state cookie, fyi - for a reason - when done right, and these definitely are!) Everything was very clean Even with all the Christmas decorations and greenery out There's an excellent restaurant on site And when they say there's "a bit of a kick", and shd you be a wuss like me, order the spicy on the side. Staff was very considerate abt this. And breakfast is pretty good too! And it was so easy to walk to everything, stuff I usually don't get to see bc I'm usually on the other side of town. All in all, a lovely stay

I should preface this review by saying that we would never book this type of hotel for ourselves…read more That said, this was booked for us by a family member we were traveling with, so we tried to have an open mind. The valets offered a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay and the front desk check in was friendly and efficient. In fact, every single staff member we came into contact with was an absolute delight. From the manager who we encountered each afternoon and always took the time to engage with us, to the awesome lady with the funky makeup who served the complimentary afternoon drinks. Everyone we came into contact with was lovely, even the lady bussing tables was a delight. Our room on the 2nd floor was ok, it was very long and narrow and despite having plenty of sq ft, the layout made it feel small. The bathroom was decent and the linens, towels and amenities were a good quality. Each day at 5.30pm the hotel offers complimentary drinks and snacks. We checked it out once; the cocktails, although served with a big smile, were cheap and sugary (as expected). The food (pasta and baked potatoes with fixings, hot dogs and popcorn), wasn't to our taste but many of the guests with children appeared to be making a full dinner out of them, so that is definitely a great feature for families on a budget. The location is really good, no more than a 7 min stroll from everything in the historic center of Santa Fe. I would recommend this hotel for family road trips and business travelers on a tight budget. The staff make this hotel a place you should consider if you're ever coming to Santa Fe.

But where? Reviewers touted the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear.....and they were right. Pros: - Location: Central. Just south of the downtown area and a 15 minute walk to Canyon Road. - Exterior: A sprawling property in a residential neighborhood. Several smaller buildings seem to have been added over the (many) years to the main building seen on most photos of the property. - Interior: Like going back 100 years. Things were fixed, of course...especially in public spaces...but you might feel as if you're in a living museum. - Our Room (Witter Byner): Large and rambling. More than enough room for 2 people plus a balcony overlooking the front of the property. Very comfortable. I could live there for a month if we didn't mind going up and down 15 stairs to the main floor. One interesting aspect: The bathroom. It was very nice and fully equipped, but separate from our room and down 5 stairs. That wasn't a problem during the day, but a few nights were an adventure - Breakfast: Unreal. Everything was homemade with great taste. The buffet portion had sliced fruit, granola, juices, pastries and yogurt. The hosts and kitchen staff had 3-5 entrees available each day. I rarely tried those since I filled up on the buffet, but my wife ate one every day and only had good things to say. Service at the community table was gracious and unhurried with lots of interesting conversation. - Amenities: A 1-2 hour Happy Hour every day starting at 430 or 5 PM. Fresh cookies, fruit, tea and jug water were available all day (coffee from 630-10 AM). Umbrellas. Plenty of smiles. - Hosts: Everyone was very friendly, helpful, informative and even charming. Special thanks to Aileen (sp?). - Housekeeping: Effective, efficient and unobtrusive. - Parking: Sufficient. The large courtyard in front of the of the property provided enough room for cars in the 11 room B&B. - Price and Value: Reasonable. It's not cheap, but as in most cases you get what you pay for. We'd heartily recommend the Inn Of The Turquoise Bear, but make reservations well in advance.

The door frame lets light in, the floors creaked like a haunted house, and the entire layout felt like it was designed by someone who's never actually had to sleep there. There were no privacy blinds, only wooden shutters, and the artwork provided enough clutter to fill the room just in case you forgot your own luggage. Breakfast was the big show! Most of what we were served was delicious.
